Logan, thanks for sharing. As a Biblical heretic, I have always been interested in questioning everything I believe, and I wasn't interested in paying attention to avoiding things you weren't supposed to ask. But what you said about religion is spot-on. There are questions you aren't supposed to ask, mostly because your religious leader doesn't have the answers. Good for you for refusing to go along with that! I am 100% behind believing what you have searched out for yourself, not just what you have been fed by supposed experts, who generally are just about supporting the system that is paying their salaries. Since I am do have that "Biblical" part of being a Biblical heretic, I'd like to share with you why I believe the Bible is true. It is pretty silly to say "I know the Bible is true because it says so." Certainly the Bible makes many truth claims. I can only share the fact that I have been studying the Bible myself for over 35 years. I have studied it assiduously, patiently, and thoroughly (though there is still much work left to do), and I personally am convinced of its truthfulness and accuracy. I suppose the reason the religious people you questioned about this didn't say what I just said is that they hadn't done anything like that. They were attached to a religious system besides, and the Bible being a largely unorthodox book would have forced them to question things they didn't want to question. I could try to excuse them by saying they probably didn't really know how to study the Bible. But I started this studying when I was 15 years old. I didn't know how to do it either, but I didn't let that stop me. Thankfully, I had some good, heretical teachers who showed me how to do it, and led by example in being willing to pay the price to go against Christian orthodoxy. Granted, most of them were dead when I started studying, but their example was what led me to be the person I am today. At any rate, unlike many Christians, I have found that the Bible does invite questioning. It invites all to read, and as far as questions are concerned, its attitude is more like "bring it on!" As for religious, I claim to be a religionless Christian. I know that is kind of a cliche now, with the teaching of Bonhoeffer popularizing the phrase. But I claim to be a Christian, yet one who has never been water baptized, never takes communion/the Lord's supper/eucharist, doesn't go to church (unless I'm invited to speak at one), doesn't believe in going to heaven when you die or torment in hell for the unbeliever, who has never been confirmed, and who generally doesn't perform any ritual acts whatsoever...I think I have earned the right to say I'm not religious. But I am deeply spiritual in following the God of the Bible, and that is the center of my life. Religion tires me. It has nothing to add to what I've gotten from a relationship with God I've developed through knowing Him by His revelation in the Bible. Well, I suppose I could make a few friends if I got involved in a religion. It does have that to offer. At any rate, I just wanted to offer you my own experience. I agree completely that one should question and seek the truth for oneself. But I wanted to let you know that we Biblical heretics actually do that. I never understood why so many Christians have a problem with those who asks questions, when the bible itself says, "If any man lacks wisdom, let him ASK of the Father....," and "We have not because we ASK not." It also says, "ASK, and you shall receive." So there's something terribly wrong with their level of thinking.

Wow, so well stated! Per usual.. I also began my reconstruction journey based on a question ~ why would Jesus ((who lived a life of compassion, love, meekness, humility, graciousness, kindness.. and all the like)) why would he send people to hell just because of who they loved? I am heterosexual, married with children~ but this was bigger than me. This condemnation appeared to be very different than the Jesus I had come to know and love. This question kicked off a character study between Moses and Jesus and the pattern was clear! I saw the truth of man’s character when consumed by ego, pride, greed, pursuit of power and physical gratification and it was obvious that Jesus was free of all these things. I now see Jesus as an example and not a sacrifice or savior..it is shocking to see all the people wearing a cross as a badge or getting their time cards stamped on Sunday but they fail to follow the example of the one they idolize; then condemn and judge others. It seemed narcissistic and far from living out of love and light. Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement! 🫶🏼💖✨

I once took for granted that I was taught at an early age that there is no proof of God’s existence. Even though I believed in God, I understood why not everyone did. Only recently did I discover that there is a large segment of Christians in America who don’t get it. They believe their religion is the one true religion and see no reason to question it.

Even as a child I could see the absurdity of some of the hallowed "truths" many people cling to in Bible. How can 2 people populate an entire planet? Where are the dinosaurs in the Bible? If Jesus is the only way, what did people do before he was born? What happens to the people that never even heard of him? Why does God even allow the Devil to exist? After years of questioning, and finding no answers, I became an agnostic. I shunned all things religious or spiritual for about 4 years until I read a wonderful book called "Rescuing the Bible from Fundamentalism" by Bishop John Shelby Spong. I credit that book for starting me on my current spiritual path as it showed me I could believe in, and have a relationship with God, without the nonsense being peddled by the church. And, yes I continue to question everything and that's ok.

In 2013, I was working together with a friend on a story concept I had. We'd been working together on it for a couple months. Over time he essentially took over the story from my initial inspiration and it seemed it was no longer my story. Almost daily he would tell me about ideas on where the story should go from plot point to plot point. I got very discouraged by this and started to lose passion for my project. I started to feel regretful about asking him for help. One night, he called me up at 2:22am and told me something evil was in his apartment. It freaked out his cat and brushed his jaw line while standing in the hallway. He called and asked me to come over and help banish whatever it was, and i agreed to help. Before hanging up the phone, he pointed out the time on the clock was 2:22. I looked at my clock and noticed that indeed was the time. After sage banishing his place and talking a bit, I went home. The next evening, he called me up and started talking some strange stuff about calling out demons, demanding their names and exorcising them, and that he did this once. I started to feel ill throughout my body as he kept talking and told him I had to go. For the next 5 days I was down with the worst flu-like illness. I feared whatever messed with him was now attacking me. After getting some spiritual advice, I decided to distance myself from him, even from social media. He got completely angry and hurt by it. He told me to have a nice life, and enjoy the story he claimed he practically wrote for me. The following month after our fallout with this paranormal incident, I was diagnosed with sub-clinical Hypothyroidism, and then 5 years later was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and a reactivation of the Epstein-Barr virus, which hides dormant in the thyroid and causes mononucleosis, an infection with flu-like symptoms. Some mystics say the thyroid is connected to the throat chakra, which empowers expression through vibration and words. Ever since then, to this day, I regularly see 222 in various forms, mostly on clocks and video time stamps. And I have had trouble with creativity and getting my story off the ground. I feel excited about an idea at first, but then lose confidence and feel the need to start over, or come up with a whole new story idea for the characters I created. It's not even the same story concept anymore, but morphed into something different, yet incomplete in vision. Articulation in my writing is also a struggle most of the time. I feel like something bad happened to me and it's been following me since that night. But 222 is the one number that has haunted me since then and I wish I knew what to do. I wonder if that entity from that night is still messing with me, or if it infected my thyroid to stifle my expression of creative writing and words.

I don't believe in reincarnation anymore. I believe that Jesus was God in human form, but the idea that a loving God would condemn is to hell for eternity doesnt make sense to me. What I've heard from NDE videos is that when we're having our life review we are the ones judging ourselves, God is holding presence and love for us through the process. Also some people choose to avoid going into the light because they dont want their sin being exposed. When we're with God we can't hide anything, everything is revealed.

Easier said than done, but here goes: accept life exactly the way it is and develop an attitude of decency and selfless service to your fellow human beings. Wake up to our oneness. There are several paths. The challenge is sorting through the teachers to find the guides and ignore the self- proclaimed saviors. What I love about the 12 Steps of Codependents Anonymous (CoDA) and Adult Children of Alcoholics and Other Dysfunctional Families (ACA) is that they are a simple step by step path without gurus or any fees. They are the Steps of AA applied broadly to the release from addiction generally.

Most times when I meditate with my eyes closed I’m traveling outside of my body and flying around different places. The last time I did this I was travelling over some ocean then went deep within the water. And no I don’t do. Drugs. Is this normal. Am I the only one doing this?

I am a life long Christian that has recently become intrigued by NDE videos and they have changed my beliefs about things. I also now believe that there might not actually be a hell... The only part I get stuck on is where do demons come from? I watch shows on tv where people (sometimes psychics or mediums) say there are demons in a place or just dark energies. I'd like to know what your opinion is on those evil beings and where they come from. I am really enjoying your videos! Thanks!

logan.. another great video. i would absolutely love if you could put together a video, explaining how you utilize the combination of different spiritual teaching/ disciplines.. what you lean on from from the bible, what teachings that are still important to you, even though you left the church…. like me, how you integrate christian, AND buddhist, eastern philosophies to form what i call, a sort of spiritual MMA path. as in MMA, fighters master multiple disciplines, this allows them to be much more complete and effective as a fighter. Why should spirituality be any different. there’s so much to learn, and i refuse to limit my human experience to bow only to one path. i’m completely on board with you… there are so many amazing and beautiful teachings from other cultures around the world, that again, i feel to follow one belief path, to lock myself in one tradition, would be impossible for me…. i love the bhagavad gita, upanishads, as well as many teachings from the bible, and other works. i gain wisdom from all. but at the end of the day, as i now know, as you…the true guru is within, and going in silence, and continued meditation can, and will, open your mind to exactly what you teach… the absolute truth. happy new year, keep the momentum, many love your content. i grew up in a baptist home, and i understand completely your view on this….. its amazing when the veil is lifted, and you can finally see clearly the grossly ingenuine cultural stench that corrupts many christian teachings, to use the bible to manipulate, instill fear, guilt, control, etc ..with promises of eternal self-preservation. all in the name of building a ministry.

That's the hardest part to see; that the true good news is that we are already, UNCONDITIONALLY, whole. I grew up religious, and I can't tell you how many times I heard a pastor/speaker say, "The love of God is unconditional, BUT you have to..." Everybody just nodded in agreement as if the contradiction didn't just get uttered. They don't really believe in unconditional love; they don't accept pure acceptance...there is always a 'but' with them.

You've always had such a great vibe on your channel because it's always seemed so genuine. People can have different opinions without being attacked. You don't act like you have it ALL figured out, and I love that humility. I agree that we are enough on our own, but as we live our life, we're still learning from mistakes and learning to be a better person. Not better than other people, but better than who we used to be, and when we fall short, we don't beat ourselves up over it. We reflect, learn and keep going. Maybe "we are enough" can get confused with the mentality that there's no self improvement necessary...while at the same time...always love yourself right NOW no matter what you're working on. Just trying to make the paradox make sense lol. The whole point why I keep writing music/lyrics is to get people to realize they already are everything they've ever wanted.

Most religions do this! They always find ways to make you dependent on an external deity. Even the "quotes" from those deities emphasize blind faith instead of learning and experience. This is why Bhakti Yoga is seen as the easiest and ultimate path while Jnana Yoga is seen as the most difficult path. Not even true to the slightest!
