Yes, AND realizing that I am a sinner, humbles my ego, and encourages me to practice forgiveness, compassion, and kindness for both for myself and others. Acknowledging where I "miss the mark" and have made mistakes helps me to love God ❤️ and my neighbor with all my mind, with all my soul, with my might and with all my heart. When I acknowledge my sins (aka recognize my mistakes) on a frequent basis, when I consciously make an effort to make amends to others that I have hurt, when I forgive others and myself, this helps me to improve my love for humanity and to truly practice the teaching of loving my neighbor, as myself. I understand that you also want to teach people to love themselves ❤, and not hate themselves, which is beautiful, but please "dont throw the baby out with the bath water." A half truth is still a lie, and we must be vigilant of deception. There is great wisdom in recognizing, acknowledging, and atoning for our egos mistakes. Thank you for the love you have for humanity. 🙏

My mind has never been very busy, so meditation has always been nearly instant peace, but having done several mushroom trips before getting into meditation, it kind of rendered meditation as feeling kinda pointless. I've always felt myself to be an awareness behind thoughts. So now, I just have to get deeper until I can go beyond my inherent belief. When Eckhart mentioned being the awareness, I was always like, duh, doesn't every one know this? And then I learned, ooooh, people are constantly thinking? What's wrong with me then? Being normal sounds like hell. lol Also, I love how sincere you are about telling people they're not sinners that need saving. I really feel it. :)

after listening to many NDEs, this is what i think will happen when we die.
God is sitting on His Throne.
    You are facing God.
God: "My child, tell me how you helped your brothers and sisters when you where on Earth. Tell me how you helped your Earthly Mother(= Mother Earth, or Gaia)"
You: "I didn't. It was all Me, Me, Me."
God: "My child, you need to go back to Earth. There is one lesson you must pass- Love your neighbour as yourself."
No judgement, only pure conditional Love flows from our Creator.
Don't worry about the external world, don't be bothered or troubled or worried or concerned. Love whoever you meet as a neighbour. That's all that needs to be done. No need to believe anything. Just Love.

    • @LoganBarone
      @LoganBarone  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

I agree with that to a degree. However, I don’t think there a God sitting on a throne somewhere who judges us. I think the “judge” we experience during our life review is us. It’s our Higher Self.

and yes i agree, God is within. when we are good, God feels it, and when we are bad, God feels the pain and hurt of our actions.
But really, its very simple: Love your Neighbour.
      Whose my neighbour?
Answer: Whoever you hate and despise, that's your neighbour. Love everyone, Hate no one.

eg , if you hate Trump, then his your neighbour. if you hate that black man living down your street, that's your neighbour. if you hate the fat man at your local take-away, that's your neighbour...etc,etc,etc. the question is NOT whether person X, Y or Z is bad. the question is: what's emanating from YOUR heart. Is it good and positive. Or is it bad and negative.. That's the question YOU need to answer. And if the latter, you need to overcome that feeling & response, and turn it into positivity.

  • @Rolando_Cueva

Being a sinner doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad person. It just means that you're not perfect. And it's true, none of us are.
When the Pharisees wanted to stone a woman for adultery Jesus said: let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Unfortunately some preachers try to make you doubt your salvation. But if you trust Jesus there is nothing to worry about, "perfect love casts out fear". If you forgive those who sin against you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you.

Here is what I know from growing up in a Christian household. Christians view their sin as an inherent part of who they are and this actually further motivates their faith in Christ. This is why Christians remain fearful and sinful despite believing that they are saved. Their faith is not a solution to their sin or their fear - it's an of expression of it.

I was not told or indoctrinated. My conscience informs me that I'm a sinner. And only Jesus says you can't save yourself - but you don't have to because I saved you. Trust in me. That's the claim of Christ, and that squares with both my experience, and observation of myself and humanity.
What you're putting forward, is a personal trip - you made it up. Jesus is a real historical person who made a claim and backed it up with a historical resurrection from the dead.

*Sin IS, at the core, independence from God. To do what we ought to do BUT DONT DO IT is a sin. To think an impure thought is a sin. To suppose that I am right without God is self-righteousness and a sin most unbelievers commit. You don’t believe in sin? Fine, go on in your delusion but from where does murder, lust, envy, hatred STEM FROM? Faulty thinking? Where does faulty thinking stem from? Answer: Independence from God/sin nature*

    • @LoganBarone
      @LoganBarone  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

What you describe is, indeed, at the heart of our journey-our *sense* of separation from God. But let me suggest that this separation, or “sin,” is ultimately an illusion rather than a reality.
The problem is not that we are separated from God, but that we *think* we are. This is what I would call separation consciousness, a kind of small-mindedness or ego-centered view that says, “I am over here, and God is over there.”
This illusion of separation leads to all the ways we seek to satisfy ourselves outside of God. We’re constantly looking for identity and validation through things that are temporary and partial. But this mentality springs from a false foundation-a deep-rooted belief that we are separate, inadequate, or somehow incomplete.
Yet, the heart of the Gospel is the radical good news that we are already one with God. Our connection with the Divine is not something we can earn, nor can we lose it by falling short. It is, quite simply, the truth of our being. God cannot be apart from us because we are made in God’s very image and likeness. God is not an external force “out there” but the One in whom “we live, move, and have our being” (Acts 17:28).
So, our journey isn’t about overcoming some inherent sin nature. Rather, it’s about awakening to the fact that the separation was never real. It’s about learning to see through the eyes of Christ-who always saw people as already belonging, already in the Father. As we come to trust that we are unconditionally loved and held in union with God, this separation consciousness naturally falls away, allowing us to live from a place of grace and wholeness. And from that place, actions of peace, love, and compassion flow not out of compulsion or fear but from the fullness of who we are.

@@LoganBarone Logan, in love: true Christianity is *NOT* a one to two day gathering in a building where Christs body (which should be active) sit in pews to listen to a one to two hour “sermon” by way of one man mediating (Christ alone is mediator) between mankind and God. After, everyone packs up and goes home. True authentic organic Christianity in the 1st century (before it was slowly manipulated by rulers into a systematic form of worship) was an assembling of believers in homes, in market places, in the highways and byways *WHEREVER THE SPIRIT FELT NECESSARY* to assist and serve one another in the love of Christs Spirit. History reveals that the institutional church changed how it all functions. I’ve studied it in great depth. Look, there’s so much deception running rampant within Christendom. Is Christs body divided? We’ve got hundreds of “denominations” all claiming to possess “truth” when in reality all are deceived to some extent or the other. Is this God’s will? Most of us true Christians, who are rare, know deep down within our spirit union to God that this is religious and fake! It’s boring! *THERE’S NO LIFE IN IT.* Yet many go on blindly following the traditions of MAN because it eases that religious blindness that comes with a lack of proper spiritual nourishment. In the 1st century Pastors weren’t offices held where church attendees nominate you into a position OVER other BELIEVERS. No, a Pastor was someone learned in the Spirit. Someone of older age who through time and wisdom gleamed all the necessary experience in body and Spirit whereby their relationship in Christ blossomed to such an extent where it truly became possible for them to be used of God to help those younger or weaker Christians grow in the faith. *MY POINT?* Christianity is the most attacked faith in the entire world! Satan has been having a great time the last 1800 years boxing Christianity into this false form of worship. Man’s traditions has kept it alive and strong through Satans understanding of how to keep mankind following to fit in. True Christians are rare! I’m one of them. I’m telling you: you have a lot to learn! You have no idea what you are involving yourself in teaching contrary to Jesus! I’m here to warn you my friend. If you need help. Please extend your hand! I’ll grab on! I can help you a lot. Such is my calling as a true Christian. Otherwise, do as you will.. you’ll never be truly content without your Loving Creator. As far as a savior, there is a lot more nuanced to this, and we should be careful not dismiss or throw away an important aspect of God's love for us, and ignore the experience of God in the second person. I believe that it is essential to recognize God in three persons. As the first person which is as "the higher self" or the Kingdom of God Within you) as the third person which is nature, brahman, all that IS, the God of Spinoza or how the East experiences the divine in meditation, contemplation. Etc. And as the "second person" which is the lover and the beloved. Christ or God as our Savior. AGAIN, half truths and partial truths are still lies and our ego can be easily decieved. Dont throw the baby out with the bathwater. Teaching about first and third person relationship and experience with God is a beautiful thing 👍, (and we need more of it) but lets not ignore or dismiss the second person relationship with God ❤.

Logan, it seems to me that one who commits sin is a sinner. If a man commits a murder, does that make him a murderer? How else is a murderer to be defined? You might not "be" what you do, but what you do comes out of what you are in your heart, your heart being your motivations and intentions. When you intend to do wrong, you show that your heart is wrong. You cannot transcend your own motivations.
It is all well and good to say one needs no savior. You can deny your sins. But you cannot deny death. Oh, sure, you can claim not to believe in it and insist that you will survive it. Yet the death rate still remains one apiece. If I cannot stop myself from dying while I am still alive and have a certain amount of power to affect things in the world, how can I stop myself from dying one moment after I do die and lose all power I had altogether? This makes no sense. Death shows you that you need a savior.
Is depending on someone else who loves you enough to die for you really so bad?
    Nathan

Sin is entropy; original sin is free will because will is a _radical-radical_ that allows for hyperbolic probability but god allows anyway because it is a requirement for consciousness, hence god sacrifices himself for us
Morality is intersubjective, its a covenant to emulate oneness and create harmony but at the expense of the few for the many. but society requires some positive dissonance in the form of tension to keep it tempered because pure utopian harmony falls into apathy then into decadent depravity and then breaks apart from adversarial forces becoming entropy again

Lol we arent imagining that we sin. Sure calling it sin is a social construct or calling it "evil" is a social construct. But modern psychology and medicine pretty much proves that sin generally is bad for our mind and body and for our community. So its positive to have social constructs to lessen the amount we sin.
You cant say sloth or gluttony aren't real and aren't happening because the statistics prove to us that sloth and gluttony are the leading cause of death in the US(obesity).
Sin is temptation, its giving in to our passions and desires when they go against the path of health and reason. Its not just a coincidence that this is the core of Christianity, Buddhism, Platonism, and a major part of practically any religion. The Greek philosophers stressed this and it was the core of western philosophy which is what eventually gave us science and civilization as we know it today.
The problem with society is that not enough people believe this. Hedonism has run rampant as as a result obesity, alcoholism, drug addiction, porn addiction etc. Are taking over.
And you talk about the death of the ego , what do you think the whole point of Christianity, Buddhism or other similar religions is?
Lol youve got this all completely backwards. I dont fully agree with killing the ego, i believe in restraining it, or being able to turn it on and off but Christianity does preach killing the ego. I thought this was pretty obvious. Jesus preached not being greedy, not being gluttonous, not being jealous, not being prideful, not living a life of desire but to live for God. Love our neighbors, love God, live in a commune in the kingdom of God. Its 100% anti-ego. The whole idea of the ego death comes from religion to begin with....

You confuse me because in your other videos you quote a lot of Jesus’s words from scripture to justify your notions, but at the same time you’re saying we don’t need saving from Him. Do you believe Jesus existed? It seems like you do and if so, do you believe He was crucified, and if so, why else do you think He wanted to be crucified for if not for our sins? And if you don’t, His crucifixion (as well as His life) was well documented by all sorts of people including Jews, Pharisees, His followers, Romans, etc. So may you clarify how much of the Bible you actually believe. Many of your other videos I agree with, but this one seems off.

  • @McCarthy1776
    @McCarthy1776 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

What you're preaching is actually embracing the ego and you're rejecting the concept of the ego death. Youre tallking about relying on YOUR own power and fixing the problems yourself. Thats certainly ego. I dont disagree with that part, but also Christianity also preaches being self disciplined it doesnt say rely on Jesus to do all the work for you. I'm confused. What you are saying in the first minute or so seems to contradict the second and 3rd minutes of the video.
In Christianity you are supposed to "bear your cross" you're supposed to fight against sin and temptation as Jesus did, as Siddhartha did in Buddhism(almost the same story) but from their perspective you are ultimately trying to reject the ego, because sin and stress both are rooted in desire and desire is the want of the ego. They preach rejecting this and either becoming one with the Kingdom of God or achieve nirvana and become one with the universe. Its all pretty much saying the same thing.
I believe humans should ideally strive for some combination of Nirvana and the Nietzchean Ubermensch. As contradictory as that sound s, I think its possible. I think if we master the mind(or soul) and achieve individuation as Carl Jung puts it then we can master the ego, and be able to control it with reason and discipline and also flip it on and off and transition into the perspective of just being a cell in a greater organism that is your family, your community, your country, your species, the earth or the universe.

you speak like you know what reality is. The fact is nobody really knows what is going on. I find your beliefs easily plausible, but not any more likely than any others. I don't see it outside of your belief set to conceive of powers higher than ours, why not belief that our reality is troubled and we are out of our depth?

"Sin" is the Hebrew word חַטָּ֣את "(ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ)" used to denote an archer failing to perfectly hit the bull's eye on a target. Please let me know what human is perfect in every way. Only narcissists think they are perfect...and that itself is a sin!

The notion of the Atonement is a moral disgrace.
If we assume Christianity is true, God had to send himself to be executed to appease himself by his own suffering and death in order to forgive his own children for offending him. And he made them sinful by nature and commanded them to be perfectly obedient to laws he made up for no reason. And now if you are not perfect (because he made you imperfect) but don't accept his self-inflicted violence to gain his forgiveness for offending him, you suffer for eternity because he loves you unconditionally.

Sin entered thru man rebelling to God's law...therefore he separated from God, and can do his own will,...even to denial of God's existence. And man cuts himself off, seeking his own way...and loses life, muttering like you are doing in darkness.

@ScottJB Realizing what you just shared is one of the main reasons why I left Christian fundamentalism… It makes no sense when you really think about it.

@@Benjaminsmallwood Imagining Christianity is true for a moment: sin entered because God decided to create sin by making arbitrary rules and demanding exact obedience. And then punish the inevitable failure of beings he created to be imperfect. Which makes that god an evil sadistic narcissist.
He created Lucifer/Satan knowing beforehand that allowing Satan to exist would mean a large percentage of His children who he allegedly loves unconditionally would be DECEIVED (even if they had good intentions), leading to eternal torture. Would you allow a manipulation expert to trick your children, and then would you torture your children for life as a punishment for being manipulated despite not fully being equipped to resist? How psychotic. He also failed us by creating us weak by default and susceptible. Adam and Eve were essentially innocent children who god allowed to be deceived (and facilitated the deception by placing the serpent there), and then inflicted suffering on them as a consequence. Sickening.
Thankfully, sin and salvation are the products of twisted and evil human imaginations bent on control, and any true divinity is very unlikely to actually have such a fallible and nonsensical man-made system.
It's much more likely that divinity wants you to learn, make mistakes and learn from them, and grow and gradually improve and become more compassionate and wise without threats of torture. Other religious systems have much more logical perspectives.
