Seems like the #'s are way inflated on the dynojet compared to the mustang dyno. Dynojet seems like it adds 100hp extra every time. Weird

yoooooo he just summarized my questions lol. Also Cruising with the 22+ wrx 60-80mph at 5-6th gear starts throwing fbk fkl within the acceptable ranges.

Great video thanks. But why would DAM drop while both fine knock learning and feedback knock read 0 all the time. Not knock at all but DAM keeps at 0.625.
Lets see how well this ages in one or two years when engines start failing. Waiting for that tsb.
@@SamSam-ih6nt been doing this for 13 years the information doesn’t have an expiration date. If you are suggesting that the DAM could be dropping due to engine issues that is a separate discussion but sometimes correct.
Was gonna bring my VA WRX to you guys for E85 before Cobb disabled the easy flash switch between E85 and pump gas. Recently decided I’m going with a VB instead. So much more potential.
As a tuner myself you hear the craziest myths about e85 from my clients lol. But also I started explaining the benifits and to them probably sounded more like “wa wa wah wa wa MORE POWER bla bla “ lol my favorite myth though which is mostly true but once you go ethanol you have to run that fuel only. Haha well that’s partly true. While you don’t have to, the power speaks for itself. And the car just seams to run way smoother and better on ethanol as well. I mean it’s a no brainer to me. If your have a e85 station and I’m tuning your car with capable injectors, it’s getting ethanol tuned

Whats the expected 60-130mph on 93 oct?
@@Haoyeren5566 mid to low 6s depending on aggression of tuning. They can make very good power on 93 but ethanol is much safer because it removes the chance of spark knock which will cause cylinder pressure spikes. These spikes are more concerning at higher power levels on stock engine.
I have a 2020 FBO for 4 years now, super reliable and plenty fast. IF I went to another level, this is as far as I’d go is the 900 level.

So i had a dam drop recently after switching from a 93 ots tune to a 91 ots tune still using 93 stock 08 legacy. Was gwtting too much knock on the 93 figured maybe it was my gas and just the 93 tune being more agressive. 91 tune seemed to be running great was only seeing acceptable knock levels curious if it dropped dam because i recently fkashed the tune and still hasnt finished all its learning i dont drive very far at a time on the daily.

Very informative as a future gtr owner i always thought that over 700hp the transmission needs to be upgraded

Very good info so whats in the 900package over and above the FBO?
Tried to cover that in the video but mainly turbo upgrades and some other smaller items that help with fueling.
@@boostcontrolledperformance1523 oh so if you already have the flexfuel system and pumps do I need anything else from a fuel perspective? Apart from just mapping for the bigger turbos.

What BOTL and rpm you running on that car to run 9.8x’s?? I’m on a drag pack with 791whp not coming close to that.

My FBK and FKL goes crazy when driving up hill in low RPMs lol
What happens is they go to the local dog spot and race Z06, Camaro SS/ZL1, Hellcat, the one guy with the fast ass EVO/STI all have a tire. GTR proceed to lose really bad and he makes the call. We’ve all scene this happen before.
@@gblikesnikes street races have far too many variables for a technical discussion. Which is why we share data that doesn’t lie. R35 vs any other street car, in street trim, is VERY hard to beat on the street if power is unlimited for both cars.
@@boostcontrolledperformance1523 AWD that’s the only variable that matter my guy im from Cali all the cars I named beat GTRs on the daily and on top of that I live in New Orleans they don’t dare ring GTR’s to Da Pad. GTRs are easy work from a dig on the street under 1000rwhp.

Are you still using the Cobb access port to tune the GTR platform with all the crap going on with the EPA lawsuit?
We use ecutek because it's superior in pretty much every way.
Great video and very informative for dispelling myths related to power and reliability on the factory R35 powertrain. I had a 2015 alpha 9 with all of the necessary supporting mods and it reliably made about 860whp and 650wtq on ethanol without any issues. Such a fun setup and infinitely more enjoyable than a normal FBO car. Nice work and I can attest to the strength of a setup like this on a factory engine/transmission!
And just to add, although I didn’t log a ton of miles on this setup (~5k), it was extremely solid for multiple seasons. The new owner is continuing to enjoy the car and hasn’t had any reliability issues. Only thing I ever had to worry about with the R35 was keeping it on a battery tender if it was sitting for more that a week, otherwise it was a very good ownership experience.

@@gapzlaGTR believe it or not, 5 year old NT05Rs. We knew we had a track day, but we weren’t anticipating bringing the white car and at the last minute when we were getting the cars ready, we realized we had a set from an old build. They worked well considering their age. I think a newer set would have done just a tad better.

Wow this dude should have really gone with 1300’s. My 21 fbo, Fmic, bcpx500R made 380whp 356tq on acn pump 91 at 20psi. Going to be dialing in my flex fuel tune shortly but I expect it to be around 450whp 400tq easy.
Thanks for the video! At the risk of asking a stupid question... Since the FA24 is quite prone to detecting false knock, is it possible that installing an aftermarket pitch stop could create such a condition? Following a pro tune (91 octane w/ intake, charge pipe & TMIC) in May '24, my DAM was steady at 1.0 But I don't keep my AP connected; instead, I will plug it in every 1-2 mos to give things a look. Installed an aftermarket pitch stop on Weds, drove a number of cruising miles with some city driving. Connected the AP on Fri and noted the DAM at .750 even in spite of using the same premium gas from the same station that I got tuned on. I kind of doubt the pitch stop could do it, but considering the variables and increasing the rigidity of the engine-to-vehicle mounting, I am curious if even this small change would be enough to drop the DAM?
