This made me laugh. We also have a ridiculous tent for just the two of us and dog. Still - it's nice to have a little luxury now and then when we only live in a 2 bed terrace 😂 Upgraded to airbeam and it definitely takes a lot of the pain out of the process though.

Great review, I personally have a 2001 FL1STW and its a great car, except the fact that I live in finland and the steering wheel is on the left side, but the hoods opening lever is still on the right. Also since it is V6 3liters, it is horrible changing the spark plugs.

I have one and oh my god do things break on it. HP steering hose, charged air hoses, driver's door lock, rear wiper, 12v sockets. The biggest princess car I've ever owned.

I always carry a bottle of water and a collapsible water bowl that clips onto my backpack for our dog Oscar! We pack separate drinks for us and a bottle just for him 😄

This is a great kit. I just wish it had a taller windscreen like the trangia. As for price, you'd have to spend double what this costs for a fully anodized Trangia set, and you don't get the nice simmer adjuster, no pot height adjustment, no lid. And you'd have to pay extra 10 for a trangia cutting board. It's a little flimsier but still the best value for money cookset out there. I'd say this is ideal for bicycle touring as well - you'll be on the road a long time and want to have actual food, not dehidrated meals or just a simple one pot meal all the darn time. although one pot and the frying pan would probably be enough if you could buy bread instead of having one extra pot for boiling rice and pasta. The smaler pot is a nice bowl to eat out of, especially if you make a pot cozy like the Soto Navigator has. I'd suggest swapping out the cutting board for the trangia multidisc, the pot grabber for one with springs that you can use as tongs for grilling, and adding a sturdy canvas carry pouch. Maybe even a silicone lid to use one of the pots as a lunchbox, to store dry-ish cooked meals inside one of the pots - cooking for every single meal can be cumbersome.

I finally purchased one of these as it seems Robens have stopped selling them unless an updated version is on the horizon for 2023. Some are being sold at reduced prices, perhaps they are being stock cleared. I want this so I can easily use some of my remote gas and multi fuel stoves such as my SOTO Stormbeaker. Paired with the cookery king it should make an awesome combination and save fuel due to the windshield. Like the fact it’s all anodised aluminium.

Did you buy 1. I have a ,6m Teton bell tent and I connected a emperor bell tent so I have a living RM and bedroom. I have a full size sink and toilet in the corner in a shower tent. And a camp chef cylinder stove. It takes about 20 min to set up. And the fire heat can be control with the damper

Bravo for the work. But….yes there is allways a but. If you imagine you car crashing into an obstacle at 50km/h all this plywood and textile would do very bad indeed and you would have a flying dog. The forces are immense and I would strongly advise against using wood or plastic or making the crate yourself. Metal is the only thing that will do the trick everything else is just shadows and smoke. Do not DIY this stuff it can save your life.

We have a 4 person tunnel twnt from Halfords, was all we could afford at the time. As the children are now adults it is feeling rather cramped! I'm definitely getting a 6 person tent for next year!

How ironic though. Talking about how it’s illegal in the UK to not pick up dog mess, and at 2:46 a dog poo’s in the background and the couple keep walking😅
