Yes, if you want the f1 light to stay on all the time and flash 5 times when you brake ( red to 12v+ or taillight light, yellow to your brake light and black to ground wire ) I believe if you want the light to flash 5 times when braking but want the f1 light to turn off when you are not braking then you have to connect ( yellow to brake light, black to ground and leave red disconnected ) If you don't want the f1 light to flash and you want it to act as another normal brake light then you connect ( black to ground, red to brake light and leave yellow disconnected )

The lights in the rear are the same as the lights i used in the sun visor. I didn't have any lights where the gas pedal is so I'm not sure what bulbs they are, sorry.

I believe on these headunits there are options along the lines of, sleep mode, sleep timer, fast boot, quick boot etc and if they are on it can cause the battery to drain

It sounds pretty good for a subwoofer of this size. Don't expect too much from it. Your not going to be shaking the whole car or breaking any windows lol, but after installing it there was definitely a noticeable difference in bass.

Unfortunately I've changed to a different style bumper now so I can't show myself installing it but just do what I did in this video but do it in reverse. Middle grill first then slot in the 2 side pieces. It's much easier to put it back together than it is taking it apart as the grills will just pop back into place. Sorry that I can't show it but I hope this helps a bit 👍

You've got to line it up with the hole perfectly to screw it in, it's much harder to line up than the original. If it's not lined up properly it will just spin but not tighten. It very fiddley and annoying.

That's odd, I thought they were all the same no matter what the model is gti,tdi,tsi etc. The only difference I know of is the ones for the 5door polo's are smaller and the ones for the 3door polo's are bigger. Maybe your getting severely unlucky with the ones you've received 🤣. I hope you find some I'm the end.

@@RCS_716 the golf knob the inside of it atleast is to short to reach the bottom so i cannot attatch it. so my only thing is that i had to super glue it which is fuckt because it doesnt attatch/reach in the ridge/gap where its suppost to click in you know.

@@RCS_716 nope not yet, i super glued it now in the hope that it stays put. if it does not, I will replace with with one that is meant to be for the polo.

I got them both separately, but both were bought on ebay. I should have a link to the f1 light in the description of this video and a link to the diffuser in my diffuser install video. Or you can search them up on ebay if you want different ones 👍

Either it's turned to the fog light setting ( most unlikely) or the unit you received is Either faulty or they sent you one for the wrong car, try get a replacement sent out and see if it works properly with the new one

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video :) I used to have a different light setup in the past and that one definitely blinded people ( I was getting flashed 24/7 ) so I got rid of that setup as I felt pretty bad so this time round I wanted to make sure I wasn't being a hindrance to other drivers. At 9:35 I show some footage of me driving after installing these lights. They are also on the setting that points up the most but using the scroller in the car I can make them point down alot more aswell. But I've also sat in another car and checked if mine is blinding and it isn't so that's all good 😁 The reason I went for 2 different lights was just for preference, the high beams I used in this video I had previously and I liked them so I just decided to go with them again but I could you the low beams I bought as the high beams aswell. And I believe the high beams I bought are also brighter than the low beams so it would give me that extra bit of visibility in really low light or non lit areas and roads.

I forgot exactly how long the start up is but it does take a while to start up. You can turn on quick boot which is a mode that makes it boot up pretty much instantly but that's because in that mode the headunit never really turns off it just goes into a sleep like state so if you don't drive your car regularly it will eventually drain your cars battery. Since I don't use my car all that often I turned off the quick boot.

I'm not sure, but if the Taillights are the same as my original ones then I don't see why not :)

You won't need any mapping for this, it won't throw a light 👍

I don't know which would be the best as the only company I've used for headlights is nighteye/Nov sight. ( so I can't even tell you if these are good because I have nothing to compare them against ) The low beam led I use in this video can also be used for the highbeam and you won't have to cut any hole. Or you can choose a different led from another company etc but just make sure its not shaped like the high beam ones I put on in this video orelse it won't fit without you having to cut a hole. Sorry that this probably wasn't the response you were looking for.

@@RCS_716 I appreciate the info, bro. How has your experience been with the leds and the headlights so far? Have you encountered any issues with the headlights or bulbs? O and main question, do the headlights have the adjustable motor inside that works with the adjustable scroller inside the car that makes the lights go up and down?

I haven't had any issues with them so far, they have been alright so far. Yes, it's got the motor inside so it works with the adjustable scroller. ( I just went outside and checked cause I wanted to know after you asked 🤣 )

@@RCS_716 it took me a couple of months but iv finally completed the look I was going for on my pepper grey polo and the gloss black looks beautiful dotted all over, due to mileage being 110k, I'm now thinking of just getting another polo 6R in either white or black but I don't think gloss black will look good on a black car as the 2 colours will cancel each other out.Thanks for all the advice you've given and making the videos. you've been a huge inspiration. I never knew you could do these things to a polo or else I would of done it years ago .🤦‍♀🤣
