Hey man, I just came across your channel by accident and my opinion probably doesn't mean shit to anyone but I've been an opiate addict for the past 21 years of my life, since the age of 15. But as counter-intuitive as it may seem, I have nothing but respect for what you boys in blue do. I've seen you guys save lives first-hand, I've seen you try to save lives and fail to no fault of your own. You guys have even saved my life a few times, the first time I ever had experience dealing with the police I was 16, in miserable depression, and decided to hang myself from a tree in the woods. I jumped, and just that second an officer randomly came down the trail and just happened to have a knife and cut me down, saving my life. It was literally a one in a million chance that he would be walking back there right when I jumped, I still don't know how or why he was there but he was and one of the things I regret the most is having that officer save my life and still make nothing of myself decades later. I don't even know what his name was. The talk he had with me while driving me to the hospital changed my life and I haven't even thought of suicide since. Just know that you've done by far an immeasurable amount of things to change peoples's lives for the better in one way or another and try not to let the hardships bring you down. Some people are just beyond saving, and by absolutely no fault of your own. Your story has inspired me to try to get clean for the first time since grade 10. You may still be saving lives. I've subscribed and I'll be back. Maybe you could look into going to talk to kids at schools and change more lives through sharing your stories and experiences.

Thanks for posting this. My truck already has a 460 but they really hacked in the accessories..booger welded brackets from a couple of different engines. I’m now swapping out this tired engine and I wanted a serpentine type accessory drive. There is nearly zero info on the forums except for “get a donor truck” or “junkyard” neither of which is possible here. There are no pick a parts and no way I’d trust some yard guy to get all the stuff I need. Thanks to this video I was able to piece together a system with a combo of new and used parts off eBay. And rock auto. Not the cheapest way to do it but still less money than an aftermarket system. The only thing I’ll need is some bolts which I can probably salvage off my current engine and some locally. Any way you could list the bolt lengths and sizes.

I always use a parts compatability chart to help me better understand what im about to do.

That will be a good truck engine! If you can fit long tube headers that should get even more torque!

Why is the deck clearance 36+th..It doesn't matter how much you shave the heads, it doesn't reduce the piston to head clearance.. , to take advantage of the Quench..You need 20th off the deck, and 20th the heads.. That will give you .039" deck clearance with the head gasket at .023" and lift the Comp ratio.. = more Torque + less detonation..

Tbi the gas is a heat sink, that truck is mpfi and the gas dont drop the iar charge temp.engine masters have shown how the fuel cools the air down.

they are the nuts to the bar end weights. whoever swapped the grips wasn't careful and fully unscrewed the weights and didn't go through the effort to retrieve them Nice job on the bob. That is my exact bike, was looking at the blue collar kits but damn they are expensive. Nice alternative here using the OEM parts.

My daily driver: 93 F250 4x4 extended cab - stock 460 with headers - 220,000 miles, 11 seconds flat today running non-ethanol fuel. I'm not getting the shift lag, I think that's your problem.

My 460 EFI is in an E-350 motorhome, you F-350 people don't realize how good you have it.

Those things sure do shift like junk haha, i have had 2 460s now same year as yours, 97. And the trannies shifted just like that, sometimes a little worse though

Rule of thumb when buying aftermarket parts is ask yourself why the manufacturer didn't do it. Also the video title is misleading. I clicked on it thinking "let's see why this guy thinks efi 460's need redemption". Last thing: You did not test the Dodge TPS sensor. You showed that your Dodge sensor's range is different than a good Ford sensor's range, but you did not test your Dodge sensor against a known-good Dodge sensor. You could have replaced an intake to fix a TPS. On the other hand, 460efiguys could have designed a new intake to fix a TPS.
