Power powder trickler
I needed a trickler for loading powder, I was doing by hand before and was tedious so I made a power trickler with a vibrating motor from a cell phone

88 Sportster Blinker Mod, Latching switch
มุมมอง 1.3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The one thing I really hated was the blinker switches on my 88 Sportster. To hold the switch was ridiculous, and you can’t buy latching switches. So I came up with this idea, turns the blinker into a push on push off system. There are many switches that will work just make sure they are 12 volt. And you need two of them. www.amazon.com/Locking-Switch-Trigger-Module-Button/dp/B07P917YK6/ref=sr_1...

To have some people willing to try, I showed them that it could be done and they took the idea and made it their own. I’m proud to see Michael and Nick do this. Thank you both for sharing this with me.

Dillon Square Deal B Case Feeder Measurements
มุมมอง 8464 ปีที่แล้ว
One of my viewers (Roy) had some questions of measurements on the Case Feeder. So I did this short video to go some idea of what I did. As I said before there are no plans I did this as a one-off design and just worked it as I went. This is only what I did to make it work so the measurements are not set in stone.

EVAP tester with well style manometer

I’ve spent a lot of time testing my well style manometer for EVAP testing and this what I came up with. It’s very accurate reading a .020 hole and that’s the number you need to know. And a way to make any manometer more accurate. Great info coating and wrapping the bleeder valve. That worked like a champ. I wish every car enthusiast could see this video. Thank you!
I'm glad it worked out for you, I've had mine for 6 years and still use it. Thanks for watching and your comment
Amazingly quick without annoying music, thank you Sir.
Thank you for watching Henry, all you need is to see how it's done then it all makes sense. Hope it helped you out.
Greetings congratulations, excellent work Could you please provide me with drawings? Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial video. You did a great job explaining what you were doing and why. I am incorporating the slide lock notch right now😊
Thank you for watching, once in a while you just need to be shown how to do things. Then you'll always have it.
Sadly I experienced so much trouble trying to see what was going on but the lack of any real "light" for the camera images made viewing this video not very good & so I gave it away!!
You did a good job with the video. I have this tool, and it worked well on my 2005 Mercedes C230 which has one bleeder screw (single piston design) on each caliper. It did not work well on my 2000 Boxster which has two bleeders (two pistons design) on each caliper. I think the reason it didn't work is because the air compressor I had did not create a sufficient volume of air to work on the Boxster. I totally drained the volume of air available before I could finish bleeding each Boxster caliper. If you have a large capacity air compressor (at least 5 gallons) it should work well. Rather than replace my air compressor, I opted to by a system that pressurizes the master cylinder with a hand pump attached to a container that holds the brake fluid.
Thanks Kevin, I still have it and still use it. Now you may be right that your compressor didn't have enough volume. Mine is a 30 gal. tank with 5hp 220 volt, and has always done the job. Well glad you got the a system that pressurizes the master cylinder and works for you. Thanks for watching
Cool....I have Jacks set up....Nice....I like this video
glad you liked it, hope it helped you out
I bought a cheap 18mm gasket punch off eBay to cut my 12 gauge cards. Works OK for my purposes.
That's a good idea, as you see I just like making the things I need when I can.
You made this 7 years ago, I hope you are doing well. I have a MK9 which is all stainless and a lot heavier. The slides seem to be identical and I really learned from your video and I enjoyed it too. Thank you.
Well thanks for watching, age and lack of funds has slowed me down. Have been shooting 22 benchrest for awhile now, haven't shoot hand guns for a bit. Take care and be safe
@@backyardinventor9580 I have never fooled with 1/8" music wire. Can I bend it with pliers or do I need a bending jig?
You can bend it, but not with pliers. When I did mine I put in a vise at tapped it with a hammer. Bend it slowly it can be brittle, don't use heat. Just do a cold bend.
Yesterday, I finished a complete front end on my 380se Mercedes 126. Brakes, calipers, bearings, steering, ball joints tie rods, etc. I am unable to bleed any fluid after several hours 2 man pedal pumping. I think the ABS module has air in it. Do I need to bleed the ABS or just do standard procedure with the HF bleeder? I have a 20 gallon compressor, 4-5 CFM.
Yes, I really appreciate this video. I’m probably going to be replacing my convertible top soon unless you’re for hire ???😊Im a sous chef so I can cook you dinner for you and your wife every night❤ until it’s done--I got this car about the same time you were doing the video -it belonged to the Mitchum family --yep her Uncle was Robert Mitchum her father, John Mitchum her aunt Gloria Graham, so when she left me the car, I had a new engine put in. It’s still has a five year warranty, and I haven’t even driven it but 800 miles in the first 3years on the new engine, gonna make it a Hollywood silver screen car, I only drive with top down, sheer bliss --except that I had 2 go back home 2 Oregon ☔️ 🌧️ 😢.
Thanks for your offer, but I do things out of necessity. Wow that car has quite a history , I enjoy this car and sounds like you really like yours. Thanks for stopping in and telling me your story. Harry
So do you press the trigger on the vacuum pump before breaking the bleeder valve loose? Also seen people use grease instead of anti seize. Idk what your take is on that.
Yes I started the vacuum first, as for the anti seize vs grease. The anti seize is far superior, I have used both and the anti seize outs lasts the grease by a lot.
Great job
Thank you, the guy at the shop told me $1200. No way was I going to pay him that for a one day job. I did it for around $400 plus my time and that was about 3 or 4 days. I had the time and a place to do it.
Only commenting here on the dry-firing nonsense. This is only true for rimfire, not centerfire. Modern firearms (post-1960) suffer no damage from dry firing. As a former US Marine who spent half of my career as an armorer, I can tell you from experience that dry firing does nothing but good for a soldier and civilian firearm owners. It's called "snapping in". The firearms that go through thousands of boot camp cycles and experience hundreds of thousands of dry fires throughout their service lives, see very little component failures, for any reason. Theres a big difference between wearing out from stress of use vs component failure from manufacturing flaws. If a component breaks during dry fire, then youve found a flawed part that you didn’t want in your firearm to begin with. High wear parts on the other hand, have a service life and will need to be changed out periodically. If you feel better buying snap caps then by all means, do so but don't buy them because someone told you that you're going to damage your firearm by dry-firing it. The same goes for letting the slide slam home on an empty chamber. These things are standard operating procedures for service weapons.
I've both two of these pumps and I can get anything to come out of the bleeder screw but if I gravity bleed them it works?? Wtf am I doing wrong
I ordered the NOYITO version because they were cheapest and have found they don't work. The NO/COM/NC block doesn't work? The only way to switch the relay on is through the pigtail, and it didn't work long before it melted in my hands, lol. I'll try the exact ones you used next.
Hi Chris, I hope you have good luck with the new relays. Like I said to so many folks before , I only did this for my own. So it takes trial and error and understanding of the wiring, Good luck brother!
All this time I thought I had a wiring issue! LOL! I've got mine torn apart to delete my turn signals and use a LED brake light with integrated turn signals. I knew that I needed a new flasher, but now I know that I NEED THESE!! Thanks!
Hi Chris, it got to be a real pain holding the turn switch so I id this. Glad you liked it and thanks for watching
The best video I ever seen THANK YOU FOR THAT SIR
Just used it not long ago, so nice to be able to do it with out help. Best $20 some thing I spent. Thanks for watching
KILLER TIP ON THAT TEFLON TAPE BROTHA!!!
That cheap little tool has done a lot of work for me. Thanks for watching
Just fill the res up after sucking it out and don’t bother with the stupid filler
I used this kit instead of a pickle jar this time. It bleeds pretty slow but I like the auto top off. I pumped the brakes on top of using this and it worked much faster.
Now I had to buy the one I have and get nothing for this video. It's just a useful tool and makes it so one man can do it. Thanks for watching Stew
Iam glad I found this video, I have an 88 sportster and it's a headache holding in the turn button. Thank you.
Hi Michael, I did this as a one-off project. No plans to work off of, just some notes on my bench. And you are right it was a pain holding the turn switch. this works good. You just have to be good with wiring. Thanks for watching
Thank you dad. Very helpful video
it's a cheap tool but it helps do the job
I like to clean in and around the disassembled primer seating assembly before every use, especially when having problems. I rotate the "cup" 90 degrees when having issues, before taking apart. Sometime that helps. I like to use a "C" clamp to hold the primer seater down while screwing in the Allen Set Screw.
Psi?
been running 100 psi
This video is perfect. Saved my a$s at work after I tore down the shops 1911 and could figure out the sear spring.
I'm glad this helped you out Josh, I knew some people needed a little help now and then. Harry
Thanks for the video! My CM9 was both gritty and a jam-a-matic. Dropped the complete slide into the ultrasonic cleaner at work and a whole bunch of metal chips washed out of that little pistola. That was 12 years ago and it has yet to experience a single malfunction after the bath. It is also one of the most accurate pistols I have ever shot.
They are a production gun sometimes you have to smooth them out a little, thanks for watching
Hey I have a question my convertible hood is old and peeling which k believe is making it leak on both the driver and passenger side is there something I can do to stop it that doesn’t involve a new hood . Having an operable hood is not important to me
Hi there, once the top gets old enough it starts to curl. I know you said you don't care if the top goes up and down. But if you have someone handy they might be able to do something with maybe some Gorilla Tape to reform the edges to keep the water from getting in. Sorry best I can say to you, good luck
No need to apologize, thank you for the suggestion. I was using tape for the moment will try gorilla tape or flexseal next.
@@bettiepugh9823 Got the same problem. How did it work out for you?
Polish then dry lube sparingly.
best video i've seen on complete 1911 takedown. thank you!
Well thank you Mark, I'm glad this helped you out. All you need is someone to show you how. Now you have for life, good luck and take care. Harry
Are you just doing each wheel until clear clean fluid comes out?
Yes one wheel at a time, now you do pull air through the bleeder threads so you will always see some air coming out. Just had to do my wife's car again last summer after I did some work to it. I was so easy doing it by myself, thanks for watching.
Nice video my man.
Simple fix and works well, thanks for watching
I put the mag catch in, and cant pull the trigger
That's odd, something is hung up. Remove the mag release and move the trigger back and forth, if that's good then put the mag release back in but make sure the trigger is pulled towards the muzzle.
Just used this video to take down my Tisas Commander 1911 9mm to replace the trigger. Kudos, sir.
You're very welcome
Very nice. Can you share the file
Perfect video demonstration. Thank you. Makes me wanna buy a builders kit.
You are welcome, hope this helped you out
Thanks so much for this 👍
anything is possible if you try hard enough, thanks for watching
That happened to me with .45 Colt cases head stamped blank. Worked like a charm for that with no primer set back as blanks.
I sort all my brass now and set aside the large holes.
The biggest problem I had was that (fill in with bad language) disconnector and sear. ). After that no problems. Very good very clear how to do video and it thanks.
Once someone shows you how, you'll have it forever. Glad it helped you
great information! i think the sharpening rod is ceramic! gonna get the cw45 been watching every vid about kahr.
Yes the rod is ceramic and very fine. It did make a big difference on how it felt, smooth wise. Thanks for watching
Cool video. I found one like this today in a storage unit.
Great video, thanks for taking the time to post this!
Sorry I'm so late getting back, thank you for your comment.
Thanks fot sharing, now im more confident bleeding my break
Hi Al, this just a tool I bought for working one man on a car. It worked good enough that I did this video. Some say that they still see air bubbles after bleeding for awhile and that is normal, and talked to my friend who is a professional mechanic. He said even the high end bleeders do the same thing. So I'm happy with it, hope it all works out for you.
I bought one. It sucks. Pump by foot works better
Thank you so much! This is the best 1911 disassembly AND RE-assembly I have found; some videos don't even show the re-assembly. Thanks for all your tips too!
Glad to be a help to you. When I did this years ago I wanted to help folks out. Thanks for watching and the good reply.
A person shouldn't have to go through all this crap with a gun. Kahr's are a Chinese POS weapon
this is especially useful with smaller loads for pistol or revolver. Great choice.
Legit video
Thanks Dan, just passing on the things I know, and thanks for watching
Very nice. How do you figure-out compression height for a specific spring weight? Is it different depending on the pistol type?
Hi Patrick, I have only done this with a full size 1911, the height I have set for 5" 1911 and the height stays the same and the pull gauge tells the weight. I'm sure you can find different compression heights for other firearms they'll be listed just have to look for them. Thanks for watching!
Great demo thanks for explaining 👍👍
You're welcome Adam, there was a time when I didn't know how to this many years ago. So I put this together to help others
