Hi, today I finally can test the mods.... I only printed the "flip tray" and the "anti tip" and work great !!! in about 800 boolits I only have 3 boolits that fall base down.... this is a excelent improvement..... the case were the boolits fall with the base down is because the vibration of the reziser when a boolit is too tight and when finally pass the die the vibration that produce in certain situations can produce the boolits fall in the wrong orientation....but as I told you 3 or 4 cases in 800 is ok....is the same rate that I have with the round nouse 9mm boolits....so I am very happy.....and let me give a big thank you for this mod......

Now Alex I was wondering what happened too you. I spent many hours trying different set-ups and this was the best, now you have to spend some time to fine tune the set-up but is well worth I in the end. I’m glad I helped you on your task of reloading.

Try the anti-tip piece first it might be all you need and the other parts are there if you want to try, let me know how you make out. Harry

You have any luck with the 308-309 bullet plate? I can not get bullets to drop into the plate holes - any thoughts?

Hi Andy, I have not done any rifle calibers. All the work I have done is on pistol calibers, bullet feeders can be very finicky to say the least. When I design a drop plate I’ll put it in and run at a very slow speed and watch carefully and see were it fails and adjust. Like I said all my work has been with pistol. Hope this might help.

@Backyard Inventor Do you have an stl for for a better drop spring holder? The one in the ammo Mike's files are not the best. Thank you for your time.

Sorry I have not done anything with the drop spring holder. Maybe some day I will, I just made his design work for me.

@@backyardinventor9580 may I ask how you did? I'm working on a feeder for the Lee app press and I have no idea how the spring and holder work together. Any tips would be helpful. Thank you for your time and your response.

@@13letsgoredwings The spring slides into the upper tube then a wire feeds thru 2 small holes to lock the spring in place. I don’t like the way it is designed but it does work. Here’s a link to what the wire looks like.

Where is the file for your pull knob on the collator plate?

Hi Josh I abandoned the use of them, they actually started to hinder the way the bullets would slide back down. I thought it was a good idea at first but as I ran the machine it was causing jamming. So I never put the file up, in the video I just used it for demonstration.

Sorry Tim the Ammo Mike files have been taken down for sometime now. Some still have them and hold on to them. It was an patent infringement deal from double Alpha that took Mike’s files off the internet but that’s all B/S to me.

I just pulled your files yesterday.
    Thanks for posting them.
Now...to find a motor that will work.
    any links/ideas on a Motor?

Hi PB, well I ended up getting a Greartisan JSX950-370 12 volt 11 rpm from Amazon. I think the torque is a little low and the shaft is only 6 mm you need 8 mm, I did do a video on an adapter shaft I made. It works well but you need to make it yourself. Time will tell if the 370 motor holds up but it’s an ongoing search for the right motor. Now I look back maybe a 6 rpm would have been better, a little more torque and you'll never run at 11 rpm anyway hope this helps

Hi Harry, I sent you a message through thing verse because I couldn’t figure out how to get a message to you through TH-cam. I sent you my email to see if you could help figure a solution to using the square deal b’s second station (prime, flare and powder stage) as a through powder funnel to manually drop black powder through the die ... this would really speed black powder loading for cowboy action shooting...

Sorry for not getting back to you till now, I just found this today but some how need to make a stop to replace the hopper when remove. It may take a little work but it can be done, as I don’t do black powder I never thought of doing anything with it. If you have metal machines you should be able to come up with a hollow cap that will let the flare happen and drop powder. I hope this helps some, if I get an idea I'll let you know.

Backyard Inventor thanks ... I was given the idea to epoxy the funnel inside the die ... I’m gonna try that with a funnel I’m ordering from Dillon soon
