COVID-19 made 3D Printer Filament Suck! Hatchbox is the way to go.
Over the past several months I have had issues with usual go to filaments. 3DSolutech and DIKALE PLA have failed me. I am constantly dehydrating new filament and it is still causing jams. Pretty frustrating. I thought I would share my experience and let you know, it's not your printer.
I believe we are getting the old stuff from the warehouses as COVID-19 slowed shipping worldwide.
So, save yourself some frustration.. it's not your printer it's the filament.

Ender 3 XT60 Connector replacement
มุมมอง 6885 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a walk through on how to replace your faulty XT60 connectors on your Ender 3 or Ender 3 Pro. Many Enders are shipped with crimped connections rather than soldered connections. Additionally, the XT60 connectors are poor quality and tend to deform, melt and can lead to fire. This is a relatively simple and inexpensive fix that can save your Ender and your home. How to clear a blocked hotend on a 3D Printer
มุมมอง 8K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Here is a relatively quick drill every Maker of 3D Printing will need to know. Blocked hotends, also known as under extrusion, plugged, jammed, or mucked, can happen from poor quality filament but, often happen because of movement of PTFE away from the nozzle creating a void. This causes a plug to build up and when your printer retracts, it pulls back successfully but not enough to fill the voi...

    Bro this is pretty useful because I got a 3d printer for Christmas and I did not know so when I was doing my first print I wanted to change the filement mid way so then I tried did not work did not know how to take it off the filement so I cut it off so the. That finsh and when I was trying to put the different filement and it did not come out did not work and this u stop the print too it off then try doing a new print with that filement and then it did not work me and my dad are trying to fix it and it did s not working and my dad said the next day I am going to help her m and my grandpa with chairs and then i am going to be able to mess with fix and have fun with my 3d printer but the. That same night he got hung over so then we could not go to the house and I fell asleep for the entire day and the next day I am going to Mexico and I can't bring it so I only have played with it ounce so then I have to wait a few days till I go back home so then I can play mess with it and fix it all I want t and do all of that even in the night if I wanted to so yeah this video was pretty useful so then I am able to switch out my filement a bit better and I am still watching videos on how to swap filement a and how to unclog a 3d printer and a bunch of other videos on what I think my issue is on my 3d printer:)

  • @jacksutherl

    Sorry for being critical, but you said “select bottom option” without saying what that option was. Not all printers have the same options or option order. Also, nothing about hotend temperature? In a real run-out situation, it would have cooled and not pull filament through, and if you reheat too hot it will cause a jam and ruin your print. Advice… address more scenarios that people go through, as they’re likely watching this while experiencing them.

    I wouldn't use them at all. Just get longer wires and connect directly with properly terminated ends. What's the point of them anyway other than quick assembly out of box? Once set up, much safer to just eliminate the connector all together.

    My Ender 3 Pro must have different firmware. I just did my first mid print filament change and when I selected 'Change Filament' in the 'Tune' menu, the printer did not finish the current layer but instantly went to XY home and retracted the filament. After doing the process, I see I need to devise and implement a mechanical Z lock so it will be impossible to move the Z axis during filament changes.

    • @makersteve934
      @makersteve934 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Maker Steve, please revisit this video and add subtitles to everything that can be identified. Specifically, all menu items you are navigating and what you are looking at. I really need that information as a beginner looking to solve a problem: running out of filament mid-print and though I paused it, the job cancelled out. I changed filament (from sample spool) to new, found option Continue; option to recover at break. But the print head went to the top, is just moving back and forth and no filament is coming out (It did not come out at loading when I pressed, 3x). I know, I should have stopped there... I was really hoping your vid had the answer for me...almost! (Lotmaxx SC-10)
