Agree 100%, and while I imagine the folks running Evernote now probably plan some customization of the home, to not include shortcuts or 'recent notes' or something demonstrates that they either don't understand a large part of the Evernote user base, or just want to turn Evernote not into a better version, but something different. I give them credit for better performance and synchronization. But I've been using Evernote for more than a decade on a daily basis, and this new home screen just gets in my way. And IMHO, tasks and calendars have no place in Evernote, I have task managers and calendars that perform those functions well, I do not want to manage tasks in Evernote, I just want to file and store information easily, find it easily when I need it, make simple edits in the moment. This is it for me, after months of consideration and research I'm going to try Upnote, which feels pretty close to what Evernote was like a few years ago.
Tana does two separate apps, one for capture and one for browsing, managing, etc.. I like this idea and think EN could do that well with this approach. That said, I prefer the new home over the old.

How do you customize the new mobile home page? I deleted the scratch pad, but how do I add a widget?
It's not possible. That's the whole point of the video 😉
