Can i have your number? Because i want. To. Start. Make a modern natural building... Tq mister.
same question as michael birchall, What is the prosess for maturing nhl in water without it setting?
What is the mix of the skim coat?
What about the lime in my tequila 🤷
Thanks, a nice tip is to round off the corners of the trowel, they're pretty tough on skin otherwise :)
Can you tell me the ratios you used for clay, sand and straw? Also, do you add water?
Great info, please, could you tell me if i can render a concrete wall only with lime and sand mortar, needs some special preparation? will it last on concrete, any advice? thank you!
Thank you mate
Are you still active in the lime trade?
Can you paint over NHL 3.5?
Nice videos, friend.
Liked the video. Was curious how hard lime mortar dried to.
All NHL lime is terrible for restoration of old buildings or for brickwork, mortar, plaster, render. It is best to use lime putty made from quicklime. All the misinformation about NHL put on the internet by those invested in NHL. ONLY new buildings that will ONLY have lime or hard stone should use NHL.
Great video, thanks.
Not how you apply it at all, do figure 8 brush patterns or Xs. Never brush in straight lines with limewash. Also should only take 3 coats, not sure what he is doing. Also, if using a pigment make sure its designed to be used with lime as not all are by any means.
these were an amazing set of videos. thank you.
any videos of how to add texture into the strokes so it creates shadow and bright area etc?
I can promise you no one watching this wants to use plastic anything
Nice video. What is the mix ratio?
So Rhino powdered hydrated lime - please explain how could use on stone - as it is described as pure lime.
Hydrated is sold powder form also ????
100% sustainable But then again it isn’t a private
Can I hemp top coat over old lime if its secure.
more info pleaseeee :) Lke when to use what? im trying to learn what to use to replace cement pointing that is causing damage on my victorian red brick house
What would be the mix ratio to mix this up with nhl?
Is this from fruit lime?
I've seen hay near the hydraulic lime... Isnt it harmful? Can you use the lime for animal bedding?
How to mix if not ready mix? Meaning what is the ingredients? And how much in contrast to each other? As if we baking a cake. Im surprised this is not more talked about. Rhis ahould be numeral. Uno. Remember the reason we have not been doing this for hundreds of years is because of greed. Its crazy. The story is sad. Now let us allow the information out to everyone. Let us not hold back any information. Lets not make the mistakes of our past. Amyway. You make it by mixing lime and hemp that has been cut up into like wood chip texture. Or even sawdust i suppose. Or can use bigger chucks depends on the application ... at least this is my guess. You cant really mess this up. 😂. So cool . And do you use a lime base paint? That would be Great for this. Perfect. Lots if air. But dont seem like your getting total benifites if hemp if you simply useing woid chip shape piece. I mean so whats the difference of simply useing chips? 😂
The most common for sale is hydrated lime but nobody ever mentions that !
Yes, true
because it is not good. The best is to make lime putty by slaking quicklime. It is better than all NHL lime for restoration of old buildings and for brick work.
Can you apply Venetian plaster over the hemp?
Could you mold this into stones! Faux stone?
Is that wall scored, or wired?
Thank you very much. Cool! Great! More and more R&D! Standardization Unification Modularization
wow how awesome Where can I buy this?
which type of lime can you add to soil to make a soil roof waterproof? and what percentage ratios would you use?
شكرا لك على مجهودك، هل ممكن وضع الترجمة ولو كلمات مكتوبة بالعربية ،وشكرا
Better not to let the wall dry out in the first place.
Could you please demonstrate the way the limewash itself was made?
What would be the difference between "lime render" and "lime whitewash"? And, can you use a cement and lime mix instead of the clay daub?
As a right handed person I was taught to work left to right wherever possible.
Leaving your trowel edge side up is definitely a no!no! A dangerous practice.
Who taught this man not to wet the board and to have his handboard and trowel standing like it is? Why does he play with the material on his handboard (hawk)? Different to how I was taught.
Thank you for these great videos
Don't sweat looking for hazel...willow works as well. There's multiple ways of locking the tails of the weavers in. Loads of ways of making limewash too.
Would it be best to notch the end pieces and rest the horizontal willow into the end pieces? Same for the staves too?
@@tgetty18 the branches are soft enough to fold the end back and weave them in.
You absolutely are not putting 1mm coats on.
Traditional hotmix user here. Is this a high calcium lime mortar with added pozz?
How much a square foot on doing the plaster work and exterior stucco ???
I'm pretty sure dung is an important ingredient for daub
Dung is used for the fibrous content. Not necessary considering we can get fibers from many plants.
@@lenorelee4249 I believe it also has insulating properties
I would trade my house for a wattle and daub hut anyday
easy on the eyes as well. lovely presentation. I am enjoying learning how to plaster.. thank you
