The laminate match for the Centuri cabinets is: Pionite WO862SD Hearth Oak. For all your laminate needs, contact John Alvelo from Top Cabinet Hardware. Super nice and helpful guy. He will get you what you need. Tell him Jeff Kinder sent you! :) Phone: 888-509-6883 Websit...
Phoenix Restoration (Part 2)
มุมมอง 734ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I get back to work on the Phoenix cabinet that I picked up from Joe Szabo back in October. After looking over the cabinet closely, I decided that cutting new sides would be the easiest approach, rather than splicing new pieces in at the bottom of the cabinet. Watch as I cut, sand, seal, and paint the new wood sides for this cabinet. Enjoy! For the sealer, I used Zinsser Bulls Eye ...

In this video, I bring Del from DeLuSioNaL's Arcade on a road trip to Massachusetts to pick up a Sega Astro Blaster arcade cabinet. The machine was in really good shape but needed a few things and a really good cleaning. Check out Del's awesome channel here: www.youtube.com/@delsarcade
What is Jeff Kinder doing RIGHT NOW?!
มุมมอง 1.1Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video I try to cure my boredom and make a small video about nothing. Lol. We look at the current state of the basement and play a little bit of the laserdisc game Cliff Hanger!
Major Havoc! Tech video?!?!
มุมมอง 297ปีที่แล้ว
Haha.. ok this is something new for me. A tech video! So, I've had a Major Havoc machine for a few years now and there has always been a nagging issue with Major Havoc (the character) not moving fast enough on the screen. Was it the PCB? Was it the spinner knob? Was it something else? I finally took the time to look into the issue and it was something pretty simple.
Food Fight Restoration! (Part 2)
มุมมอง 676ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we continue to work on the Food Fight cabinet. Bondo, sand, Bondo, sand, Bondo sand, etc. After many passes the cabinet was finally ready for laminate and then artwork and the outcome looks amazing!

I have been looking for this cabinet for many years and one finally showed up for-sale in my area, so I jumped on it. Part 1 of this video covers the first stage of the necessary woodworking required for this restoration.

Hello from Ireland. Great work just binged all your videos.
Checking out these vids. I have a Centipede Cab myself. Couple things. First, the original arcade did have a hinged door on the back. The inside of the back had a wiring harness blueprints for how the arcade was setup. I would have liked to have seen the back and a slower video on how you applied the side art. Also, most people always like to see behind the marquee. There's just a light and a pull out slot for the single speaker, but those are always nice to see.
Hi Jeff I m in Florida and have become an amateur arcade restoration guy. I watch your channel also Mike J, Charlie G, and Troy L. Love the work you do and how it turns out . I’m currently working on a vanguard game with wood grain sides. I was wondering if you would be able to share Johns information. I would love to get some sheets of laminate. Not sure where he is in Florida but I’m in the central area. Thank you for all the knowledge you share with your viewers .
Looking forward to seeing the battlezone one.
Gotta love paint pens!
new subscriber overtime sent me here
Thank you and welcome!
Congratulations on the new baby, Jeff. I thought I started late with my first being born when I was 35. I don't know what I would do if I started now at 55. Thanks for the video. Major Havoc is one of my grail games.
Thank you! Yeah, I would have liked to have started at 35, but it didn't work out that way, but it's all good!!!
looks great!
Thank you!!!
Best TH-cam channel out there…
Thank you!
Great to see you back Jeff, you’ve been missed. Congratulations to you both on your little bundle of joy 😊
Thank you!
Missing the vids man, also hope your shoulder is better
Thank you! Yes.. shoulder is completely healed!!
I absolutely love that game, great video.
Wow, looks like a really nice game, nice catch!
I really wish I had an empty galaxian cabinet, I want to make something cool out of it as well.
Great job.
Thank you! Cheers!
I wish I had so much room to fiddle. My 35m2 apartment fills so quickly when you add 3 cabinets a pinball and wife😅
Great tips with the magnets Jeff, looks amazing! great job 😎👍
Looks really nice Jeff! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Star field looks terrible 😮, is it because the brightness is too high ?
Yes, that and a few other adjustments. I didn't have my mirror with me that day, so I couldn't adjust the monitor properly, but it's all good now.
Wow, turned out amazing! Awesome work as usual!
Thank you, Brad!
Gorgeous! ❤
Thanks, Jerry!
Looks awesome great work and game!
Thank you!
What an amazing work! And you have freeplay and hiscore support too! does it run another game.. like Pleiads?
Thank you!. This one is just the HSS kit... no multi, but that would be cool if it did play some others!
Looks better than new now 😎
Thank you!
Beautiful work Jeff, is the marquee original? Back in the days my friends Dad actually purchased a Phoenix new from the Centuri factory in Hialeah Fl. for his Birthday & we’d play the game for hours. Unfortunately I lost touch with him & he moved away (not sure where) but I’ve always wondered if he still has it.
Thank you! Yes, the marquee was original. Wow.. that is cool he had the machine brand new! Would be interesting to know where the machine is now.
@@WWJKD1nice! Most of the marquees on Phoenix are in poor shape. Wish that TOG or PA would reproduce it. Yeah, I wish I knew were the game ended up. I lost contact with him in the mid 80’s as he moved away.

MAGNETS -- HOW DO THEY WORK?!?! I just ordered a set of those installation tools, so I'll find out soon enough! Great video!
Thank you! Yes, the magnets work excellent when working with metal control panels. You will love them!
First!
Jeff, where do you get the felt roll from?
I just get it from Amazon. I've been using a microfiber felt lately that I really like. Here is a link: a.co/d/9ySPguF
Hey Jeff. Do you have a model number or anything for the black 3M vinyl you used? Also, is it gloss or matte black or what? I want to start using more vinyl on my games instead of painting everything but I'm not sure what is a good one to use. Thanks.
Hi there. Sorry for the delay. For the Black vinyl, I will use either Matte or Satin and get it from MetroRestyling.com. In this case I used the satin which really gives it a nice sheen. Here are links: Matte Black: metrorestyling.com/products/3m-2080-matte-black-vinyl-wrap-m12 Satin Black: metrorestyling.com/products/3m-2080-satin-black-vinyl-wrap-s12
Looking Sweet! Thank you Jeff.
Thank you!
Great tip with the Velcro!
Yeah... definitely want to change it every time. I have a few different types of squeegee's. One with a soft felt, one with the soft side of the Velcro, and another with a really smooth soft rubber texture. Trying to determine if one is better than the other.
Beautiful work, as always!
Thank you!
I just subbed. I wish you were my neighbor. Kit. 🎮💪
Thank you for watching and subscribing!
@whatwouldjeffkinderdo, where did you get your wiring from?
Amazing work! Looks fantastic!
Thank you!!!
i have some centuri parts if u need them just let me know
Hi there! I'm looking for a Time Pilot control panel and any other oddball Centuri stuff. Send me an email @Jeff.Kinder@Outlook.com
Looks the balls Jeff! Thanks!
Thank you!
Beautiful work, Jeff! Thanks for sharing all your tips. If you made just a few more pieces, you could build and sell complete Phoenix reproduction cabinets! 😃
Thank you! Ahh... hehe I did that about 25 years ago with Dragon's Lair cabinets. I was building empty cabinets and selling them. It started out fun because I was working on games, but quickly became not fun because it turned into a "job" with actual "work" and I got totally burned out from it and didn't do anything arcade game related for almost 15 years after that :( I know a lot of people out there try to take this hobby and turn it into a job... but unfortunately that's not me. I learned from that mistake :)
@@WWJKD1 It seems like it would be a dream to turn something you enjoy into a job, but instead, when it becomes work it sucks all the fun out of it! 😄
Looks great, man!! good tip on the drill blocking.
Glad it was helpful!
I use quick clamps on the blocks to prevent splintering, and accidentally making jesus holes in my hands.
Good idea!!!
Greetings from Nottingham U.K. Recent subscriber and already binge watched your entire collection of videos. Hugely educational, incredibly entertaining and really scratches my nostalgia itch. Many thanks.
Awesome, thank you!
Awesome work Jeff!
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks great Jeff, I enjoy all the content you put out. Looking forward to part 4, and the other restores you have coming up.
Thanks 👍
Awesome, watch that hair around the router. 😀
Yeah when I watch the video, it looks like my hair gets close to the router and also looks like the sleeve of my red jacket get really close to the table saw blade... but in both cases they actually weren't. But you are correct, as a precaution I should have my hair in a bun or something.... and I should be wearing actual safety goggles... and I should be wearing a mask! I guess I need to up my safety!
Love your vids, I need to be motivated like you, I’m just stock piling at min 🤦♂️ Keep up the awesome work Dude 👍
You can do it!!
Such beautiful work brother Jeff.
Thank you!!!
