@@WWJKD1 thank you I’ll be using yours to reference putting mine together. I’m sure none of my stuff is in the right place. It was kind of a basket case.
I just picked up a Carnival and the lights reflects off the screen on mine too much like yours. I have seen some that are closed off and no light hits the screen or lights up the bezel. I love that it lights up the bezel though. I forget about the screen reflection after awhile.

I'm just restoring an Astro Fighter cabinet and found this very useful. Did you literally just screw the rear door sections on in the end? Mine came with a one piece door but it's not original, so I'm going to cut two new pieces to replicate what you have. I recently got the cpo powder coated so I'll make sure to sand the surface down a bit to provide a key for the overlay. I've waited since March for this to arrive so i can't afford for it not to stick (This Old Game take AGES!!)
Hi there! Ahh nice. I love Astro Fighter. So yeah... my back door was in two peices. One was screwed and the other had a key. I didnt bother putting a lock in and just screwed in both pieces. If you are planning on screwing them in, be sure to predrill the holes because sinking a screw into particle board that close to the edge (3/8" in from the side) will definitely lead to the edge cracking. Yeah... I definitely had an issue with my control panel being too smooth after the powder coater... or maybe it was the paint used, or the process... whatever it was, the overlay definitely didn't stick, so giving it a light sanding did the trick and the 2nd overlay went down and sticked perfectly.
I figured out my issue. For me, it wasn't the glue on the overlay... it was the finish that my powder coating guy used. It was a like a shiny coating that looked nice for stuff like marqee brackets, etc, but definitely not good for stuff to stick to. After I peeled off the bad overlay, I scuffed up the surface with 100grit sandpaper to take the shiny coating off. Cleaned it up, and reapplied a new overlay and it was perfect.
Hi there! Yes... new video's coming soon. I took a 1-month break from doing anything game related after an arcade party that I had back in the beginning of June, but now I'm back!
Hahahaha.... she was watching some TV show, and it really struck a chord with her. She kept rewinding the part of the show and couldn't stop laughing at it.
@@overtimearcade Haha.. this is hilarious.... the show is called "The Mindy Project"... and the joke in the show that she was laughing at was about Legionnaires' disease?! LOL!?
@@TimCatZ Thank you. Oh wow.... I can't remember?!. lol. I think it was the socket on the next board itself. I remember having to buy one and I think that was what it was for.
This is cool great 80's flashback played it while dad doing laundry,
Thank you!
I can't get over that AWESOME intro!
Haha I know, right?! You did an awesome job on that intro!
Looks great Jeff. Keep up the great work.
Thank you!
At 3:55 I love how you casually apply the CPO in your kitchen. WWJKD? Ha!
Lol... It's a nice big space to work on. I do all my overlays there. Haha.
Looks great I’ll be restoring one later this year on my channel awesome job
Thanks! I'll definitely watch for your video!

Ask Slikknikk about that fluorescent light. He's got a carnival as well.
Good idea! Thank you!
@@WWJKD1 Looks freaking amazing by the way man! Great job!
@@kazelasarcade Thank you!
So good and such a great game. Were those some type of magnetic clamps you used when you applied the CPO?
Car magnets. They use them to apply wraps to cars. Jeff told me about them and now I have them too!

@@utubechannel8670 Thank you! I'm actually putting the finishing touches on a new video for an Arkanoid that I recently put together.
My repro overlay didn't stick either. I'm thinking a bad glue batch from TOG
