Hiii! I hope you’re doing well. I really enjoyed this video, and I think the topic is so meaningful. Discovering who you are can truly protect you from disappointments; knowing what you like and what matters to you helps you avoid pursuing things that don’t resonate with who you are. It’s a journey toward figuring out what you genuinely want to do, and it’s empowering to understand that you’re unique, with your own vision for life. Being authentic to yourself brings so much happiness because you’re no longer trying to fit into someone else’s mold. Also, I think your videos are honestly underrated! When I first watched your “Why I quit my $170,000 job after 6 months” video, I assumed you must have at least 100k subscribers. It’s interesting how viewership varies depending on the content-some people are drawn to career topics, while others might be looking for different insights. With the rise of AI, shifting job markets, lay offs and quitting, I think audiences are more career-focused these days. Keep doing what you’re doing! Your content is inspiring, and even though you might not always have the same audience, your message is reaching the right people who need to hear it. Looking forward to more of your videos! byeee :)

I kinda went through a similar situation, but with accounting. Forced myself to finish this degree, got a nice corporate job, and literally decided it wasn’t for me within the first month and left. I already had an inkling of doubt from the internship and I wasn’t even studying for the CPA, so those were big red flags! Now I’m trying to pursue something else that I think will give me the life I want I found myself not even focusing at my job in accounting no matter how hard I tried, and at the end of the day I just didn’t care for the work, the people, and the environment

Hi Dennis, Thank you for this video! I haven’t personally quit a job before because I just graduated this year. I’ve always loved art and design, and I took a step and created my first web design and it was SO COOL, but for some reason, there’s this voice telling me I can’t be like other designers (designers that make you think: why am I existing ? haha), so I started learning Data Analysis about three months ago (which I’m regretting right now, LOL). Your video literally popped up, and I felt like I had no choice but to click. Now, I’m taking it as a sign to do what’s best for me and to do what I have always loved to do, not just what others expect me to do. I also appreciate how you emphasized that quitting isn’t a black-and-white decision. It’s easy to watch short videos or stories and think it’s a quick, simple process, but I can imagine how much thought and emotional energy goes into making such a life-changing choice. Your perspective sheds light on that complexity, and it’s something I’ll keep in mind for my future decisions! Wish you all the best! Best regards, Mona

Have like 2 internships on my belt, but was really left to my own devices without a mentor, so i feel like i don't know anything to actually apply to entry-level jobs, seeing as most of them want experience (this doesn't make sense to me) So i've been in search of more internships and ive been getting ghosted (for UNPAID jobs too). So it's like... do i just go back to being a barista? I am in dire need of money, but I know I need to focus on securing a job i worked so hard getting a degree for. love the message of this vid on being with the feelings and being beside yourself during the shifts. my fav quote that helps me remember this lesson is from Rilke: “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” on top of that, the your voice and the style of this vid is super calming. Ty for sharing Dennis!!

So... I started writing my journal for transformation, but before I even began, I thought, 'This is going to be so hard...' I already have a diary where I write everything I did during the day, every single day! So, knowing what to write in the journal is hard because I already document everything that happens in my day. Also, I found it especially difficult - and I kind of had a feeling it would be like this - to write about good things. I've only written a few entries, and only one of them was about something positive. The others were about things that made me cry, frustrated me, etc. I also noticed that the sad entries are much longer than the happy one... I think I'm kinda struggling.

I have often looked at life as unfolding, but it hadn't transferred it to how I think of my self. I like the fit. It's unencumbered and natural. Growing, evolving and such words lead to assessment and judgment, skewed more toward proof than acceptance. Unfolding is more about observation and awareness than expectation. Lot less stress in that. Thanks for expressing it so nicely.

I would like to know more information about what is the self-unfolding paradigm. “What if there is a human being who falls in between of all 9 Enneagram types because I don’t think anyone fits perfectly in one type since it is human nature that we think we all are complicated beings?” I am grateful of you. Yesterday I remembered all my life experiences like a never ending waterfall of emotions ever since I was a little girl. Now I know why I feel a peace of mind when I withdrawn from university because I had a difficult time writing creative nonfiction since I couldn’t remembered any critical moment in my childhood. I freaked out because of trauma and abuse kept resurfacing in my dreams to the point where my dreams were in black and white, no color. I feel like it’s necessary to tell other people they are not alone in this cycle of pain and suffering. I am a PTSD survivor. Post traumatic stress disorder to me feels like I am scared of living but at the same time I am also scared of disappearing from this world. You made realized what I was doing all this time ever since I was a young girl. Self-enlightenment. It is hard to explain what is self-enlightenment to another person because I think the only way for him or her to experience is perceived as too rigorous and cruel. But I do want to ask these questions to you: “How much do you believe in the phenomenon of the act of dreaming is correlated to past lives/ reincarnation? Is self-enlightenment possible in the world we live in?” As always keep the wonderful work you are doing!

Enneagram can be a helpful snapshot, but I'd agree no one is perfectly one. Too many multitudes of who we are and how we relate in the world. I don't have a particular belief about your first question. To your second question, yes.

So, I've been watching your videos for some time now, and throughout this period, I've constantly been thinking, 'I need to start journaling.' I didn't finish watching the 'How to Journal for Transformations' video because I wanted to really pay attention to everything. Additionally, I was conflicted about journaling the way you show in the video or starting a different self-improvement journey I saw in a video from another creator, which basically involves writing down what you want to improve about yourself and working on it. I thought both 'methods' were kinda the same thing (the ultimate goal was being happy), but I only noticed the difference by watching this very video. It seems so obvious if I think about it. And you described exactly what it really is: trying to become a person you are not, and never feeling like it's enough. I felt like crying, actually. Well, I don't know much about this self-unfolding paradigm, but I think I need to finish watching that journaling video of yours. Oh and thank you for these videos :)

Thank you for making this video. Two days ago I spoke my own truth about my unthinkable past out loud to myself while blubbering and gasping for my breath. Because of the emotional abuse and a lot of psychological trauma I endured, I forgot my most important dream I wanted. If I became a monster in order to survive, I want to be human again with a human heart. Because I want to save others.

Music meditation is choosing a song and focusing on nothing else besides the music. Whenever a thought comes to me, I let go of it and continue listening. As always a good reminder for eating meditation! For myself and for others: a playlist filled all types of songs I listen to. I really do hope everyone finds their own way of meditation because it is essential in being in tune with the mind. Playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLlNrdVHfeSqWaS2o7CO1oBusCz0YSq2v6.html

Extraordinary awareness practice when eating. Only extraordinary in the truest sense as most people aren’t practicing this. But it’s routinely practiced at monasteries and Buddhist centers and other awareness centers. 🙏🏼

As always a profound yet wonderful video! I am always interested in seeing how much an individual is willing to listen to people with an open mind. “Wouldn’t it be more beautiful to witness the different perspectives instead of fighting over who is right and who is wrong?” You mention the question: “Am I good enough?” I would like to rephrase it into “Am I going to live my own truth in the face of adversity and judgment?” Since I picked “Yes”, communication drastically improves in my relationships (ex. My parents). More importantly, with love.

I think I will never forget your interesting concept of healing. Coincidentally, I had been thinking about the classic fairytale of “Beauty and the Beast” and reflecting on how much I relate myself with the Beast. You are absolutely correct about “love is within you”. This year, I have decided that I am tired of hiding in the darkness that I find comfort in. I don’t want to abandon my shadows because they are important to me. What I want is to allow conversations between my light self and shadows. They both need each other to grow - just like yin and yang. Thank you for giving me inspiration for a new idea! A short fiction story about two beasts finding out they are actually a prince and a princess sounds both exciting and challenging to make.

Excellent concept! The hero’s journey is a profound and enlightening transformation that is completely endless. I think all the life experiences and obstacles I went through provided me one simple gift: learning how to get back on your feet again. And that’s why the anime and drama series “Hikaru No Go” holds a special place in my heart. As always keep up the wonderful work! th-cam.com/video/QbQfvnyvr78/w-d-xo.html

Yes. You say how you move yourself by this medium of writing. Brilliant. Sometimes I use the medium of music, and sometimes the medium of interaction with fellow humans. How many more media are employed to this purpose of clarity? 🙏

It is very thoughtful of you for sharing your wisdom on rewriting your story. I understand the feeling of unworthiness. For me, it comes from being in an environment where family relatives normalize emotional abuse. Those life experiences shaped who I am at this moment. A human being is who’s willing to guide others through the darkness to the light. “The Karate Kid 2010: Disqualification scene” gave me hope and pain. It is so powerful when you make use of fear as fire for love. Love people without needing anything in return. Video: th-cam.com/video/iEwFBRbdPyM/w-d-xo.html
