The Perfect Grilled Burger Carnivore Style
When it comes to burgers I say go big or go home! I start off with 1 lb of ground beef from Dude foods. If you did not know they are your source for high quality meat direct from Independence producers and processors to your doorstep!
I seasoned this beautiful beef patty with Fire & Smoke BBQ Company Brisket Rub. Fyi, this rub is for way more than briskets. It's also amazing on fried eggs!
To keep an eye on the internal temperature of this burger, I used my thermomaven P2 wireless Bluetooth and Wi-Fi BBQ thermometer
You know here we're burning nothing but high quality. All natural jealous devil charcoal. To get it going. I use my grill gun from Grill Blazer, This is a real Time saver.
Today we used the SnS kettle with a fire basket for this cook.
You've got to have some high quality knives and Grill tools. For this I go for my american-made Lamson Products.
Finally, for a couple finishing touches on this burger, I topped it off with some grated Gouda cheese from gardeners Wisconsin cheese and sausage. Then just the right amount of RED hot sauce from FYR

@@RustyBBQLamb I already have a lodge Dutch oven for baking bread , its well seasoned by me and can use the cover as a frying pan/skillet for meat or chicken .. What I need is a pot to boil water and sauces for pasta etc ,might have to go with a 5ply all clad. Cast iron isn't the best for acidic foods like tomato sauce hence the reason for a Al Clad 5 ply. Nice to see someone else use the dry equilibrium method as I do. Easy when measuring in grams. I use a smoke generator and cold smoke my bacon. I don't own a fancy smoker and repurposed some items. Then I sous vide it to 150F, followed by partially freezing and cutting. I usually leave the rind on as it's a preference. I made a excel spreadsheet to calculate my spices, salt, and pink salt.

@@TaraB1134 if slice agency the grain they are tender enough. Think like a sirloin steak. Not a ribeye. Definitely can be variable depending on a piece of meat.

It appears that you only need one. Otherwise it's going to limit your indirect cooking area. That's something I would want for a 26 inch kettle.
They work well with one in each side of the kettle great for high heat indirect cooking
why did you cook direct. I always thought chicken was for indirect?
@@LoriSaunders-o5e normally cook chicken indirect because the skin can burn easily. The melting chicken fat can create flare-ups. However, being this far from the charcoal worked out absolutely perfectly

That’s raw😮. Save money, don’t buy fuel at all. I do like a rare to med rare burger cooked at home with quality known beef but that’s a tar tar samich. I know why you didn’t want to squeeze it, more than juice be running out. I know where you are coming from though, don’t burn the spices and maybe a little more time on the indirect. 8/10 for instruction.👍
