Trust me, I don’t usually comment, but this might be the first video that struck me in an inspiring way. I’ve always loved capturing moments and documenting what I see. I’m trying to make a living from photography, but I felt overwhelmed by the pressure to fit into that commercial, technical vibe. When I heard your way of explaining your thought process behind every captured scene, I thought, “That’s it! That’s what I aspire to do.” You put into words what I’ve struggled to define as my style. I’ll keep up with your content, dude! There’s not a lot of this out there, so I’m really glad I found your channel.

Overpriced and overrated. Quality is lacking for money they are charging. iPhone is a better choice for most point and shoot population. Don’t believe the hype from influencers.

Did you manage to get the app sync with mobile data? Cos I could only get it sync with WiFi only

Man, I've been obssessing over watching videos of this camera and the GR IIIx. I've owned the X100S/T/F over the years only to sell them later as I can just take my ILC if I want to take pics. The appeal of the GR is the APSC sensor into a truly pocketable body. What's really giving me pause is paying at or above MSRP for a used copy with the thought that a GR 4 could be imminent.

Owned this camera new, still have it actually... and just found my battery / charger last night! Pretty sure the battery is toast, tried to charge it, and the camera said it was empty. That being said, I don't remember the video being that great, but the macro on this is actually outstanding from what I recall. The only reason the macro stands out is that every "smart" phone I've had since this camera absolutely sucks at macro shots.

I tried, Did not like it. The image is too soft. There is not IS (image stabilization) so the processor will blur the image to help. Get the upgrade with optical image stabilization unless you want that soft look.

When this camera came out, it was featured in NYC Museum Of Modern Art as part of an exhibit of the best of digital art design in commercial products for quite a while. I have 2, one with the silver lens & one with the black one, also 2 very rare OME form hugging soft plastic camera covers.

Can't decide between Ricoh GR III and GR IIIx :(

It's so frustrating. I have the complete box for the SD1000 in plain view. I can't find the darned thing. Honestly, it's probably buried in something in my wife's stuff. I loved that it had the optic finder. I'm old and from the film days. So I've got a thing for viewfinders. I got on a kick collecting the Canon digital Elphs anytime I found them cheap on eBay. There's a 150IS sitting on my desk now. The darn things are just so cute. I really hope I can find that little SD1000 though. That's the one that started.

Can I see the taken Photos on the LCD?

Just got myself a GRIIIx and I am loving it so far. It's my first "real" camera. Before that I was learning on a Nikon D3100.

I'm working on my cover now. I've had my prints hanging in galleries but I'm still a nervous wreck. Just hoping each photo comes out right. You don't really know what you're actually capable of until you print your work.

cool video, I still have an SD1200IS I got new in 2011. Fun to use when I don't want to break out larger DSLR bodies. I also recently picked up for less than 5 bucks at Goodwill, a DSC-P200 7mp camera also fun to use. It even came with extra memory cards and a ton of someone's european vacation pics lol.

Man I know I had this camera, I wish I knew what I did with it. I assume it's been long tossed. It absolutly still holdes up as a photo camera in good daylight!

I’ve had one a few years … it is the most incredible piece of camera equipment. I love my XT4 but what is great about this as a street snapper, is no one ever feels threatened as they just see you as a ‘simple tourist’ with a little point and shoot … as your images reveal … how wrong are they? 😂 😊
