    Great work & project but what do you do when you need to make miters? Good bye zero clearance!

    • @TheEndGrainWorkshop
      @TheEndGrainWorkshop 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you for your comment! When it comes to making miters, I actually use a different approach to maintain the benefits of zero clearance. I keep a separate set of zero-clearance fences for common 45 degree miter cuts. This way, I can switch them out depending on the type of cut I need to make. It helps to reduce tear-out and keeps the cut clean. Additionally, I sometimes use a sacrificial fence on my miter saw to achieve a zero-clearance effect for various other odd miter cuts. I hope this helps! Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

    Two big mistakes. Net is lower for pickleball, you should not use tennis net. Second, color is wrong. Yellow is too bright, it will distract both tennis players and you if you play with yellow balls. It is recommended to use the color from the same family as the tennis court (light or dark blue in this case). Otherwise, good job.

    I believe you said a couple of times that one revolution of the adjustment ring is equal to 1/64" of depth adjustment. As you rotated it, it looked like it moved WAY more than a 64th. I looked up the manual for this and one complete revolution actually equals a half inch of depth. The 64th you are refering to is what each mark on the adjustable scale equals.

    I see how the lock works but how do you actually open and close the door since there’s no handle?

    • @TheEndGrainWorkshop
      @TheEndGrainWorkshop หลายเดือนก่อน

      The lock replaces your traditional deadbolt. You still have the existing door knob that you use to open and close the door. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    Hey, do you have neighbors? I'm curious how much that foam insulation helps cut down the noise from using a grinder, table saw, jointer, sanders, etc. The last thing I want to do is tick off the neighborhood with metal siding screaming like a banshee at 10pm.

      I’m on an acre and a half so workshop noise for the neighbors not an issue. I installed it primarily for the cooling factor but there is some noise reduction benefit just not sure how many decibels. Hope this helped and thanks for watching!

    Very nice video. Where did you find the brass piece for the coin slot? Also the decal for the P.O. Box number.

      @TheEndGrainWorkshop หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can get both the coin slot and the decals on EBay. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    New subscriber , nice work , I don’t have a router table to make that cut , What can I do to make this cut pop ?

    • @TheEndGrainWorkshop
      @TheEndGrainWorkshop หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can chamfer the edge with a palm router without the router table or you can cut the 45 degree chamfer with the table saw, bandsaw or jig saw. Hope this helped and thanks for subscribing!

    What is the distance between your trusses? How much of a difference did this make towards keeping your Temps down?

    • @TheEndGrainWorkshop
      @TheEndGrainWorkshop หลายเดือนก่อน

      About 40 inches between trusses. I’m not sure if the plywood ceiling had any impact on the temp. Before I did the ceiling I insulated the ceiling and walls with R-7 rigid insulation and that lowered the temp appropriately 7- 10 degrees on average.

    Hi Rick, great video and an awesome project! Did you know….. ( i was surprised to see the Levi’s shirt and then an NRA shirt. You’re clearly a hunter just know Levi’s is a publicly held company mostly owned by heirs, that are very Anti 2A and spend wildly on any anti gun cause and candidates, and get none of my dollars.

    Good review but can you tell me what the distance is between the center of the ball to the center of each hole that is on the receiver end.

    • @TheEndGrainWorkshop
      @TheEndGrainWorkshop หลายเดือนก่อน

      The distance from the center of the ball to the center of the vertical holes on the receiver is four inches. The adjustable vertical holes on the receiver span 8.4 inches and the holes are spaced on 1 inch centers. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

      Thanks but I'm asking what the distance is from the center of the ball to the center of the horizontal holes where it connects to the tow vehicle. I'm trying to determine if I'll be able to lower my tailgate while my camper is attached.

      @TheEndGrainWorkshop หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@johnrebarchak7058 The ball has a total drop of 6 inches. Hope that helps.
