    I test drove this and the Blazer and I prefer the Prologue. This is a larger electric SUV and it looks normal and has normal door handles and the knobs and switches you’d want in any car. The horsepower on the AWD is adequate. This might be a nice car to lease because I’m not sure how long Honda will be making them and supporting them.

    Can't believe they are turning beautiful classics into evs ....not cool...not cool at all . They are making enough crappy new evs as it is without places like this taking great classic cars and destroying them by butchering them up to turn them into a electric vehicle. Just hate what you are doing to the classic car culture. Again not cool at all. Hate your videos. Hate what you do !

      The future is electric, and gas is a thing of the past whether you like it or not. These guys didn't "Ruin" their classic cars by getting rid of their ancient internal combustion engines and turning them into evs, but they gave their cars a new and better soul by doing so. Many people are embracing electric as the right path forward and ditching that ancient dinosaur of Rockefeller's legacy.

    the term "hybrid" should not be used for any vehicle that does not plug in... And you should not be sloppy by using the abbreviation "EV", when you should be specifically saying "BEV" and "PHEV".

    • @greencarshq
      @greencarshq หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi @Panameradan6860, hybrid electric vehicles do not plug in and cannot be charged by external equipment. EV by modern definition stands for "Electric Vehicle" which by classification incorporates BEV, PHEV, HEV and FCEV. As you can see, all acronyms have "EV" and are represented as such. They are all electric vehicles in varying degrees. Thanks for your comment!

    I fell for this scam the last time around. Been an electrical/software engineer 25 years now. One of my first realisations was we cannot power the country on solar panels and batteries. Even without EV's (not even close). I wondered why we weren't going with nuclear. Then, when they put every single one of us out of business that used to repair Electronics,(I used to make $1500/day straight out of college), it became apparent. They invested while giving it all to China so we could have cheap junk to toss in landfills.(Where is all the concern for the planet in THAT?) Now they're going to do the EXACT same thing with solar panels and batteries (ever notice how LED light bulbs don't last as long as the old incandescents?) Those panels and batteries aren't going to last near as long as people think. This is all about enriching the elite and consolidating govt control over American energy. The "renewable" part comes in 15 years when there are thousands of acres of junk panels and batteries needing replaced. The elite will "renew" their bank accounts! And since recycling will not be profitable the govt will subsidize it so we can pay for that too. This sham has infuriated me for 20 years!

    We'd need to double the energy density of batteries. 800 miles of range would require 200kWh of energy in a car the size of a Camry. Right now, that big of a battery can only fit inside a vehicle the size of a Hummer. We'll get there but not for another decade or so.

    The gas savings is nice but not even close to the things I love about my EVs. Leaving the AC or heat on when I'm away from the car, not having to go to the gas station only to burn part of the fuel getting there and back, one pedal driving, instant power when I need it, there are all kinds of good stuff. Long trips do take longer so if you need to cannonball rent a gas car for those vacations. My electric bill did go up about $30 but the bulk of that bill is still the house AC, everything else is small compared to that even charging two cars.

    We have had a Tesla model 3 since Jan 2022 and we have had no repairs after 30k miles. As for tires we didn't see extra wear in fact my 2013 Cadillac ATS used the exact same model and size of tire and they only lasted 20k and we got almost 30k out of them on the Model 3. That may be because the PSI is more on the Tesla. The ATS ran at 36PSI and the Tesla is 42PSI. Both wore the tires very level but on the Tesla they lasted longer. The only things we have done on the Tesla is the cabin air filter I replaced myself and washer fluid. We just replaced the tires a few weeks ago and they were technically still good on the tread gauge (tiny bit of red showing) but we wanted new ones for vacation this year.

    I have a new Chevy Bolt EUV, I did not qualify for the $7500 tax credit. Here is my experience with this car I have had since August 2023, It is super fun to drive. Now for the negatives, the range is not that bad in the summer but in the winter the car is not practical, I get about 120 miles in the winter because compromised battery and heater which burns lots of energy. I have to charge every 2 days. I am going to New York soon as I do every year but I won't take my EV. I would have to find a DC charger that is working and charge for at least one hour, with an I.C.E car 5 minutes to fuel up. Now that the government subsidies are gone no wants to buy EVs making my Bolt worth about 50% of what I paid. I believe within a year or so EVs will be only sold to a few, I.C.E. and hybrids cars will be sold. It is in my best interest to keep my EV for a few more years so I get some use out of it and then go back to I.C.E. car.

    • @kujo49
      @kujo49 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you can, trade it to a dealer for another car. . I realize that may not be possible. In the US there is a $4000 tax credit for used EVs under $25k. I've had 2 Bolt's and the last year or so of sales prices were cut by GM created a value hit for depreciation. The Bolt's were a good value for me and trouble free. I did keep them in a garage that didn't get as cold as the outside during winter. I sold the 2nd Bolt to my son and he'll pay for the car in gas savings with a 100+ mile commute in about 5 years. I turns around and ought a Kia EV6 awd that charges faster than you can eat takeout from 10-80%. The new Bolt in 2025 will have a lot of new technology that will make it a more comfortable car with more consistent range and faster charging and the $7500 tax credit. And Cevy is likely to give you a better deal for a new Bolt or Equinox EV.

We a way to identify all cars that have a tailpipe no matter what combination of other power they have so EV is reserved for electric cars. In my mind that is an "attempt to deceive" when tailpipe cars use those terms.
