Totally different side of the world here, but flying BA is slightly worse the seats arent as good (just a usual 3-3 with middle seat blocked). I’d only fly business domestically😢 on qantas or ba for status points. Also hold your mic further away, sounds like youre holding it too close to your mouth

A very disappointing experience in my opinion. The ground experience in Brisbane was definitely good but the cabin really needs an overhaul and a good clean. The meal looked very dry and unappetising too.

Why does turbulence always occur in meal service :) Food on this flight seemed to be slightly better than their average catering service. However, I admit that I really like their hard product. Liked and subscribed

You definitely lucked out in my opinion... United Polaris is lightyears ahead of Qantas Business in terms of comfort and service. I can't believe you missed the ice cream sundae trolley! Shame about the turbulence and the interrupted service, but kudos to the cockpit crew for putting the safety of the passengers and the cabin crew first.

Great trip report. The Embraer 190 is a really comfortable aircraft to fly on. I hope REX do introduce better onboard service so they can compete with Qantas on this route. It would also be great to see the Embraer 190 painted in the REX livery as the National Jet Services livery is quite uninspiring.

Ruined by loud and unecessary noise

Great thing about BA is their crews. They are friendly and delightful most of the time. However, I find BA catering on long haul needs improvement. The portion and presentation is not something I would call business class. Their bedding is too thin compared to many other top tier airlines. Overall, BA is still a decent airline to fly with, but nothing special and nothing to look forward to really.

A350 is my favourite plane, however BA are my least favourite airline, and coming from a Brit that should never be said but they've gone downhill so much over the last 10-15 years that I only use them now if I have very little other option. For me, Finnair are the best European airline.

Looked a fantastic flight probably helped by a relatively new aircraft, some of BAs long haul fleet are pretty ancient, but even if that is the case the food and cabin service should be of a similar standard. BA certainly seem to be trying to improve their service standards. Agree with you comment on having to walk back from the B gate lounge you are correct

Waist of money

I used to love BA and was Gold for a number of years. Sadly, regardless of the aircraft and layout it seems to have gone south in recent years.

Great video. The Admirals lounge looked good in Phoenix and the economy service onboard this flight was ideal for a short hop like this. I know Americans seem to hate the CRJ700, but I actually really like flying on them.

Sorry dude - the T5 train is 2 way, not one way as you indicated (otherwise how would disembarking travellers get to A where Immigration etc is

We used to fly BA Club World for many years :London to Cape Town v.v. But after the Brexit the prices are so incredibly high so we.had to chose for another airline.

This video wakes my memory of taking J-Air (Japan Airlines subsidiary) E190 between Osaka and Sendai. Also same great scenary of snow mountains, etc. Keep going and cheers!

That's quite disappointing, this was one of the aircraft that weren't retrofitted back in 2019 as they were supposed to be retired soon. But of course COVID came, so they had to hold out on them- interesting. Perhaps they'll skip the 2019 upgrade and retrofit the cabin completely with the new config this year. I'm guessing BA kept the cabin from BMI.

Gosh, that's really disappointing indeed. The slow check-in experience, the lack of hot food in the lounge, the tired and worn cabin, dirty washroom on the first sector of the day and the cabin crew not offering you any rolls during the service. G-DBCB is an ex-bmi aircraft and really showing its age but it's worrying that a BA business class flight scores less than easyJet and Iberia Express in your ratings. One of the reasons why I prefer to avoid flying BA whenever possible.

Is Eco seating suitable for 6 plus Ft? Or maybe if not, boost up to Premium Eco??

Looks any cheap seat but with more leg room. It is worth extra $3000.00, not for me.

The real time best IFE can be found outside everyone's window seat, far better than a tv screen !. Awesome flight report as always👍✈

Another great trip report, thanks for posting. Seat 2D on the BA Cityflyer Embraer 190 is definitely the best seat on the aircraft and who needs inflight entertainment when you have views like you experienced out of the windows. Hope you enjoyed your time in Florence.

A really comprehensive trip report with some great footage at Fiumicino Airport as well as on-board. Personally I found your score for ITA on this flight a bit harsh- the competitor airlines on the FCO-NCE route are easyJet or Wizz and neither of those airlines offer a reclining seat, complimentary inflight service, power ports at the seat or entertainment via an app. ITA aren't planning to use their A320Neos on flights longer than 3-4 hours (they will use their A321Neos on flights to Africa and the Middle East) so in my opinion they have designed the cabin really well for their planned route network.

ITA Airways with the full blue livery always gives out an exotic feel, and i think the cabin too represents it, although IFEs would have been nice

A Lot of new high speed lines ar under costruction here in italy open for 2026 . New etr 1000 trains are coming too(new interior, general restyling)

Nice trip report. My understanding is that BA Cityflyer class PMI-LCY as a Band 3 route and as such only offer hot meals in Club Europe on flights departing before 9:30am or after 5:00pm. Also, if there are more than 24 passengers booked in Club Europe they only offer a cold meal as there is only oven capacity for a maximum of 24 hot meals. You should try and bag seat 2D on BA Cityflyer's Embraer 190- best legroom in the air and two windows to enjoy the views from.
