That's quite disappointing, this was one of the aircraft that weren't retrofitted back in 2019 as they were supposed to be retired soon. But of course COVID came, so they had to hold out on them- interesting. Perhaps they'll skip the 2019 upgrade and retrofit the cabin completely with the new config this year. I'm guessing BA kept the cabin from BMI.
Gosh, that's really disappointing indeed. The slow check-in experience, the lack of hot food in the lounge, the tired and worn cabin, dirty washroom on the first sector of the day and the cabin crew not offering you any rolls during the service. G-DBCB is an ex-bmi aircraft and really showing its age but it's worrying that a BA business class flight scores less than easyJet and Iberia Express in your ratings. One of the reasons why I prefer to avoid flying BA whenever possible.
Yes absolutely. While BA is a better experience than those other airlines product wise, the marginal benefits they provide are usually not worth the extra cost, especially if you have status or something which can already grant you lounge access and some priorities.
