When you did rear axle swap. Did the old excursion speed/abs sensor work perfectly in the newer axles? Tried finding video with you saying it did or didnt. Thanks for the help
No worries ask any thing you need! Ya the 06 will plug in BUT that’s why I had the light, they don’t talk to our computers, swap the excursion front abs sensors Into the new axle
I'm about to go from a 3" lift to the v/c codes on my '05. What part(s) did you use on the front end to level the truck? Any thoughts on what else might need to be replaced going from a 3" lift to v/c codes?
I used ats v/c Springs, and a leveling shackle similar to this(amzn.to/3YEX5BO) As far as steering goes I have XRF tie rod/draglink and PMF track bar. None of which you should need to change with your swap. You might check if you still have a stock track bar and pitman arm tho, I dont think they need to be swapped for 3" but someone may have.
How do you like the v/c code compared to the coil conversion? I have one vehicle already coil conversion, but debating saving money and just doing v/c springs. Thoughts?
The v/c are good but…. I have an 05 front axle in my yard… if that makes any sense the bobbed truck drives as good as this one on 40’s. That’s enough to make me start gathering parts
So you would prefer to still do a coil swap? I definitely like my coil swapped excursion. It was done previous to my ownership. Just debating have done to my wife’s or just v/c springs
Ya i think just overall it seems to be better. You know from experience how much of an improvement it is. the v/c code is a good middle ground but I'd put the coil swap higher.
What spring leafs do you recommend for my 2000 excursion? I am just want to replace front and back but where to get them? Keep doing videos man, you are awesome!
Interesting. It looks beefy and well designed, but I don't see any reason to do that swap, in the 343K miles i have put on my white truck I have never once experienced bump steer. Maybe if you had big tires but at that point I'd rather upgrade to the 05+ axles to gain that steering geometry. that way I get way tighter turning, bigger brakes and coil springs. (also I have already in the 10K miles I put on my coil swapped truck felt death wobble and bump steer)
I need to find a replacement front and rear bumper for my excursion. I would order one but I live in Alaska and the shipping is insane
ah man thats rough...

Also would you know a part number? I will just get a new one
And sorry since asking. What about front abs sensors? Do they need to be swapped from excursion axles? Or do like 2006 sensors plug right in?
Yessir just swap the sensor in the rear, fronts too
Check the Amazon store, bobbed excursion build parts I think the sensor is in there😎

Call JR at ats (auto and truck springs) that’s where I got mine. He’s a great dude that can get you exactly the codes you need for your use.
Can you list the part numbers? 02 4x4 ex. My suspension is tired.
Give jr at ats (auto and truck springs) a call he will set you up with everything your need.
Have you seen the far from stock for steering upgrade with this?
I can’t say I have. Can you enlighten me?

@@Geeks4x4 Dana 60 is definitely the better way to go
100% and if installing that kit is something your comfortable doing yourself then you more than capable of doing the coil swap.
