A common problem with these was a nice round hole in the centre piston

I haven’t watched the video yet, but I know it’s going to be a burn hole in the top of the piston because of the spark plug misfiring because water has gotten in under the spark plug cap

Had a few of these come into the workshop similar problem a usual problem was the center exhaust would coke up. Easy fix.

Never forget taking pipes off for cleaning in the early 90's an not exactly putting them back on properly😂.

Hope it wasn't the same person who did the carbs that did the top end rbld.

I don't think Kawasaki actually officially made a 750 Spectre until 1982. In 1981 it was a Kz750 E2.

Spring is setting up and I am ready to whip out the ol' bandit again. I have slightly lower compression on cyl. 1 but I think I will ride this summer before pulling out the engine. Alot of other maintenance has been to the bike and it rides perfect. I have full stainless race exhaust on it so the sound it makes it awesome 😎

what racking are you using, where were they purchased from and at what cost. also how safe are the racks and is there any danger of the whole thing toppling at high wind or a bump with the forklift

I'm not to sure now. It's been so long since I did this engine. Usually if you set the cam timing marks then set the crank to TDC it will be right. Just turn the engine by hand first.

also the main reason for overheating in this motor is poor mixture

greasemonkeypol is right. When the engine is open just replace everything like the rings, all the seals and gaskets. Then you know that it's gunna be ok... Just like mine in this vid thats still going strong.

if you have new piston and rings white smoke is burned oil from the worn valve guides or the valves body could ba a damaged valve seal also

Cyprus you can do lots of things that other places dont allow, even some illegal things you do and police see you they are like "we catch you later" because they cannot be bothered with the paperwork... I was once stopped because the van had no tax for 3 years and people inside with no seatbelts, no insurance and I could not tell them who the van belonged to and they let me go. He said if I see you again you will get a fine.
