Hey I'm the Sneaky Dragon, an Assassin style competitive gamer. I make a ton of content for the Advance Wars successor Wargroove, some mainstream RTS's like Starcraft (coming soon), and crazy fun indie games like the invisible bomberman-like shooter Invisigun-Reloaded.
I'm currently the #4 Wargroove player in the world (started out as complete noob as evidenced by my videos from a year ago) so I do PvP commentary, tutorials, and also just some straight up fun mods and modes that you might want to check out and play!
But mostly I like winning games in crazy or weird ways, and hey, makes for good watching sometimes!

Can HAIKU make Lickitung ALWAYS flip Heads? | Pokemon Pocket Theory
I test the fairness of Lickitung's coin flip in Pokemon Pocket and invent a crazy theory that you can make a lickitung deck flip heads in the coin flip and do the most possible damage with a good haiku! The odds and probability of flipping one heads, two heads, three heads, or any number of heads is poetry based? But thats just a theory, A GAME THEORY!

me thinking of the time i used budding expeditioner on my mew without any benched pokemon :3
Oof, haha it happens! I tried to warn people about that th-cam.com/video/hFH-Xka2R8Q/w-d-xo.html
nah bro, i'm in the first sec of the video, you're talking about this like it's a crazy thing while i did it first try with aerodactyl
Fire is always the best tipe 🔥 🔥
19:20 with the addition of the new mew with 3 energy copy you can beat any heavy hitter of other themes with their own attack and you even win against mirror matches. The only factor that makes you lose a mirror match is if you don't play perfect strategy or you go first.
I've been rerolling for all the crown rares, I've rerolled hundreds of times (from start until you complete the beginner quests and roll 10 packs at once) and my two rarest rolls have been a gold crown mewtwo, and then another account that rolled a gold crown mew, then immediately rolled a gold crown pikachu on the very next pack, it was insane. I've also rolled a god pack, with 2x 2gold star and 3x 1gold star cards. 😂
New ponyta doesnt feel so good when you flip tails 3 times in a row 🥲
Ooof, the bad rng. Sorry about that. Got some good news though: statistically you are due to get heads a few times in a row at some point!
Grass type did NOT age well
OMG true! I did say (I think?) they needed new ways to get energy, but serperior celebi hahah they took it a bit far!
@@SneakyDragoncelebi deck users ragequit when i use a mew ex and alakazam combo after taking down their celebi 😂
@@luissanchezpalacios7698 Niiiiice!
This man has been slowly spiraling into insanity since the no damage Ptero deck
Kekeke thanks! I like making things fun with a hint of nutty!
So discarding rare packs, you have 3 possible events where you get a crown card Let's say the 4th and 5th card pulls are 'x' and 'y' when you don't get a crown, respectively, and 'a' and 'b' when you do get a crown So the events would be: ab, ay, and xb So the probability of getting a crown rare in a normal pack would be: 0.0004 * 0.0016 + 0.0004 * 0.9984 + 0.9996 * 0.0016 = 0.001999 = ~0.20% correct?
Wow thats the proper notation and everything, nice! I believe you are correct, though my formula was a bit different, because what I was calculating for was slightly different (not better or worse just different intent). I accounted for rare packs, and also, I wanted to calculate for getting '1' card in a pack, so, for example, the odds of getting any 1 diamond card became ~299%, since you would typically get ~3. This was because I wanted to see how many packs to get just 1 card, or a specific card. I hope that explains it a bit. I'm psyched to see such good math in the comment section keep up the smarts!
I swear flip until tails attacking moves are more likely to get tails on the first coin eevee card has gotten me the same amount of zeros in a row u got,
Oooof bad luck! Have you tried eevee haiku? :D
I feel like atm electric weakness is its low hp, zapdos is the only tank and pika can live 1 strong hit. Most electric types hp arent past 100 besides those two and new raichu card. Pikachu also gets carry since if its partners go down, it’s not doing any dmg.
This is 10/10 feedback. I wish I had realized that when making the video.
@ I’m binging your vids and they are really well made and entertaining to watch
@@blueice7906 Thats so cool to hear! I'm still experimenting trying to find a good style and format that is fun to watch. Let me know what you like and I'll try to keep it up :)
Flip outcomes are the same in mins 🤦🏼♂️
Good heavens! I sure wonder how the TCG Pocket team will go about balancing cards in the future. These cards aren't physicallly printed so it's totally possible to push out traditional balance patches and adjust some stats. Celebi is powerful yes, but from my experience, Dhelmise is just horrible to face against with Serperior since even if I manage to knock out two of them I still haven't won the battle.
ikr! scary combo. Maybe we'll get more power creep next boosters in Janurary :O
I got 11 heads on a misty once
Wow Nice!
I think this solid evidence. Will be casting my own spells when I play my Pokémon
At the end of the day, they probably have the mic on 🤣 checking who’s naughty and nice ya know
Lolz 🤣
I've gotten 10 heads with Misty, video coming soon, what's the odds of that?
If I've done the math right, its about 1/2048 (the chance of ten heads, idk the odds ill do a misty video)
Lickitung is dead got Maxed damage (990) today with Celebi EX! New best card for damage records!
You are not wrong. I do maintain however that lickitung is the silliest card for damage records :)
@@SneakyDragon True, most i got with Lickitug was 11 Heads xD
There should be a secret mission with this challenge
ikr!
Used Marowak. Attacked 6 different times with it (which equals 12 coin flips). I got 11 tails back to back to back. At the very end I got one heads. I don't use this pokemon anymore and I also don't use the Eevee coin anymore.
Ooof! Sorry for the bad luck!
are those theme apply to the regular tcg ?
I'm not sure, been playing this a lot but surprisingly wasn't as into the regular tcg. I collected the cards for a while then stopped, but never did PvP with the physical cards.
Now do Misty next
Perhaps iambic pentameter for misty?
Fun Fact: The coins scrolls down after 9 coins so you can keep watching the coin storm and it keeps scrolling every 3 coins after that. Source: I've seen it happen because of facing Misty. Multiple times. There comes a point where you're not sure if the game hates you enough to put you through such massive overekill on you or if it loves you enough to let you witness the coin storm.
HAhahaha Awesome!
Just so you know, 1% is not "REALLY close" in statistic terms. Just had to mention it because you kept saying it. And the "Only reason this happened could be because of the haiku!" thing is just wrong, the "only way" it could've happened is simply because you have a demonstrably low sample size. No offense on that to be clear, but like... You are just wrong, I'm sorry to say.
You are absolutely right, but I'm 99% sure they are joking
@@ecowo57 yeah yeah i'm just a statistics nerd so i needed to point it out
statistics nerds are welcome here :) I mix jokes and math a lot so I love having folks clarify in the comments which is which. Its good engagement, and keeps folks educated!
To claim corelation with haiku quality let people unaware of any context rate them. Then calculate corelation and p-value
That......is a super reasonable response!
you’re funny
Thanks!
Gen 1 miss at the start of the stream
Let's compare them Gen 1 miss: adds 1/256 chance to miss using 1 attack. Neglegable in 50% accuracy attacks Here: 8 of 50% accuracy attacks (with damage scaling) which missed and more afterwards
ooo neat tidbit! I didn't know gen 1 had a 1/256 thing!
A short written hope Leads to the haiku frenzy I attend fun stream Felt like it's appropriate to reply to this video with another haiku. Sneaky starting the haiku shenanigans ended up making the stream very funny I did not expect the stream to evolve into this when I tuned in lol.
SPARKY!!!!!!!!!!! Hey, yeah that stream was super fun thanks for the awesome haiku(s)!
@@SneakyDragonI’m only here to boast about my 11 heads on my misty
i cant wait to see the video going over the new steel cards, cant believe they got a lot of support with the new pack
rip I should do that vid as a joke
The coinflip is physics based and deterministic. Getting 8 tails in a row should be incredibly rare, but multiple players have been reporting such cases, WAY TOO MANY players according to statistics and probability calculations. Japanese players have found that if you drag your coin all the way up to the limit the game lets you, no more and no less than the limit, you can drag your finger up to the pokémon's image on the card and it will always flip heads if everything goes right. They only RNG based coinflips are the ones that happen after the first coinflip.
good news! flipping tails 8 times in a row is just 8 different 50/50 chances!
(yes i am aware "the exact same result consecutively" would be 1 in 256 but each flip is still 50/50)
lol! Technically correct :D
Getting at least one exact 420 damage in 50 trials is 17.7% likely to happen. The chance of 420 or more damage in 50 trails is 34.4%. Rare, but not like super rare.
Oooooo good maths! I should have checked that, super counterintutive and very cool! yeah 1-255/256^50 =~17.7 wow thats wild! Thanks!
I've got a 480. Enjoy playing this guy a bunch. Anyways, notable things. Enjoyed the video!
what was your godlike haiku?
Nice score!! and Thanks!
1 in 256 chance is not THAT improbable...
yeah i once got the sword of kings in earthbound in as many attempts (1/256 drop rate) 1 in 256 is not that bad, in the long run!
Same odds to encounter a Fiend in SMT1 and SMT4 vanilla. Its supringsly more common than I thought
I like how many times this comes up in other games :D
Salazzle seems to be very Situational. She helped me to kill Celebi and push my rival to change (Cuz Poison) so it could be helpful against Grass Decks.
oooooo nice!
sure i'll integrate this into my belief system
:D
8 misses...My man, I used moltres ability for 6 turns straight and only got 1 heads. I'm yet to see someone beat that. 17 tails and one heads.
Oooof thats legendarily brutal luck!
@SneakyDragon To you perhaps...But to me, it was Tuesday.
Coming from mtg and seeing the pokemon player filtering his deck that's great
Thanks!
nobody: my brain for some reason because of the thumbnail: Blaine ED
the way to get the decimal places on the percentages, would be to make your testing range larger, in other words, test longer, that way your end results are more precise❤ great video though. hope it was fun
True enough! and thanks!
Holy tongue divine, Bless these coins with heaven's grace, Ten heads, perfect light
This comment is currently in consideration for best Haiku. Final results have not yet been calculated. Congratulations on making it to the finals!
winning Pokémon without dealing damage? ~visible confusion
Bro said dark, Salandit is poison. You can’t be serious
In Pokemon Pocket, poison pokemon are retyped to dark! So Salandit is NORMALLY a fire/poison pokemon but in this case it is fire typed BUT acts like poison type which means it would have been better as a dark type! It goes deep lol!
Ex speed?
Great card to run! I thought I mentioned it in the vid, if I didn't major oops on my part!
What happened to Blaine's arm in the Thumbnail though?
Whoops, must be the ditto version of blaine! I'll try to find the real one next time I use him in a thumbnail!
where tf is promo jiggly
9:20 in addition centiskortch one shots mew
Fair point!
I feel like starmie and/or electrode would be definitely more beneficial to the deck than alot of cards like caterpie, porygon or the card that makes you see the op hand, as it virtually gives you more copies of x speed.
A few folks mentioned that and I think you are right. I hadn't been considering stage 1 pokes, but something to look at for future challenges.
The issue with Blaine decks is that unless you set up Ninetails, absolutely ZERO decks lose to Rapidash/Heatmor/Magmar/etc.. Even the new grass decks will be able to deal with the new Rapidash assuming average luck. Blaine NEEDS 90 base damage per turn to finish out games, which means whatever shiny new versions we get will always take a back seat to the core of 1-energy attackers plus Ninetails.
Ninetails is definitely the blaine carry, you are right about that. After playing with the deck a bit more I've dropped mamgar entirely, but I like rapidash for a 'rapid' response to finish something off. It can be a good start while I power up ninetails and the new one has a very nice threat of the 100. Its still not best deck but it does win games. I might improve it some more then run it in a tournament to see how it really stacks.
The new rapidash is cooking and i don’t use anything other than rapidash and ninetales and i win probably 80% of the time
As volcaronas number 1 fanboy, I've dedicated myself to making this sadly pretty mediocre volcarona card work. Here's what I cooked: Your core is moltres EX, arcanine EX and volcarona. The reason you pick arcanine is cause you want the most damage available that isn't discarding energy. You also want to run 2 leafs: leaf reducing the retreat cost by two is crucial in those cases where you start off with a growlithe or larvesta in hand and you draw, pokeball or oak a moltres - both growlithe and larvesta have a retreat cost of 2, meaning having an x-speed in your hand over a leaf in a case like that slows you down by a turn. The gameplan is simple: you give your arcanine 3 energy via moltres and as much energy as the situation allows to volcarona (from my experience, 3 energy on arcanine, 1 on volcarona before you switch to arcanine is usually enough). Then you rock out with arcanine, who often won't quite do enough damage to kill high priority targets, but this is where volcarona comes in - you're more than happy with letting folks switch out their mewtwo EX with 30 HP, because you're later gonna snipe with volcarona. And if you don't have anything to snipe, you also run 2x poke flute, which feels like it was made for volcarona - as long as your opponent has some basic mon with 80 or less HP in their discard pile, thats a free point for you.
This is a very creative and clever plan! Just the kind of stuff I like trying! I've been trying to get my blaine deck to a better state; maybe I'll try adding some ideas you mentioned to it!
@SneakyDragon cool! Out of curiosity, do you run old ponyta/rapidash or either, maybe both, of the new ones? Also, do you run magmar?
@@TheMike0088 I started by running magmar, but I found that with ninetails eating energy its hard to also power up magmar. Since then I've replaced magmar with colorless basics that have low energy cost, and I'm playing around with it to see what works. I like the new ponyta best but I'm not sure which rapidash. Using both atm. The new one is more threatening, but the 2 energy is hard to obtain.
@SneakyDragon interesting. Personally, I'm running a pure blaine deck - new ponyta, new rapidash, vulpix and ninetales, thats it for pokemon. I've gone back and forth on it a bit, but ultimately I think new rapidash is better - many of the frequently used early game tanks (sigilyph, dhelmise, druddigon, kangashkan,...) can withstand a blaine'd old rapidash, so the one advantage old rapidash has imo, the scenario where you go first, you draw into ponyta, rapidash and a blaine, meaning you can kill something right away with 70 damage on turn 3, now typically also requires your opponent to lowroll on what basic they get in their starting hand. Its too situational, new rapidash is so much better imo.
The new exeggcute actually just makes exeggutor ex more “splash-able” in decks. Because its attack can be used for a colorless and attaches a grass energy, that means you can run a 2-2 evo line of eggs without dedicating your energy zone to grass.
Exeggutor-Greninja fans rejoice!
Ooooooo Thats smart! This is giving me some ideas for a silly deck challenge :D
