FYI they make really good gel coat restorer and polish Mcguire 's. You must wet sand gel coat first. It gives direction. Good work !!

mines the blue 17 foot model with a 90 hp evinrude and it tops our at about 38-39 with 1 person. i do run 4 batteries but I still cant belive urs does 50

I have always used 15w40 diesel oil in all of my small engines, bc they run very hard. I never had any issues using it at all.

Keep aiming up . Find a little bigger fix up and within 3 or 4 boats you can have your dream boat . Took me 5 boats untill I got the one I wanted pretty much free just alot of shining and cleaning.

55 to 60 shouldent be out of the question with correct prop . My skeeter 17f 90 hp 60 was easy cruise. Loved that ol boat

$3,000 cash, right now. LOL Seriously, though, NICE FRIGGIN JOB! Looks great, if I could make one recommendation that will take this boat from the 90's to today, get that carpet out of there and go with something like GatorStep, or similar. That would be all I'd be looking to do to make it "look even better". BUT, for the mechanical side of things, did you look at the impeller? Those are recommended to be replaced like every year or every other year depending on how well you maintain and use your boat. Judging by the stream coming out when you started it, it may be on it's way out. They are only made of plastic after all. But, I'm no boat expert, just looking to get my first boat, so I been doing all the homework, so to speak. LOL

Never unload your boat that way. Start it and back it off. For two reasons. You know it will run. And if rope breaks you lose your boat across lake. My friend lost his life trying to retrieve his. Wonderful job restoring
