happy new year keep up the great vlogs you do thanks for share
Hey Will not sure if u noticed but they Yarra Valley Easter Exhibition flyer has the wrong dates
I have an ARM K class locomotive. I used the short underset shank #144 kadee coupler on the locomotive and tender. I just fitted these to the coupler mounting on the locomotive. The couplers don't pivot. But I haven't had any issues in curves. For tigher radius curves. The Kadee #147 medium underset shank couplers will be fine. Using the underset shanks won't require any modifications to the buffer beams.
Thanks for another excellent video presentation Will. Happy New Year to you and fellow railway modellers.
Thanks a great post. I cannot believe ARM produces a $300 model in to days market without a working head light.
Happy New Year. Another great video Will. That DCC EX CSB1 looks really interesting. I might get one of those just to have a play with. ps Saw your name on the latest BRMA membership list. Hopefully will see you when you're next in SA.
Happy New Year Will and to all and a great 2025
K Class?
No correspondence with SDS was answered once again. I’m sorry I can’t provide a more comprehensive report.
Happy New Year and thanks, really appreciate these news videos. I would have no hope of knowing what was going on in Australian model railways without them.
Welcome, Will, to 2025! You are fantastic, extremely-hard-working, superlative, extremely dedicated, and inspirational. I'm sure that all of us gunzels and rail modellers who have been watching your News from episode one, or later, really appreciate what you do, and hang out for the first day of the month for the brand-new episode. If you are having a bad day, think how much better your good days will be? I hope that I am correct in truly saying, "lots of love to you, from all of us". Remember to reach out if you are due for a hug 😃💝🚂
Good episode.
Will you need to go interstate and explore the other model rail stuff that is outside of Victoria. You are posting too much Victoria related model rail stuff and you keep on leaving out other rail modelers such as NSW and SA and WA. Please leave the state and try going interstate
Hello, I am so sorry I have not met the expectations of fans to this point. I still work a normal 9-5 job and do this in my spare time (which is now days no existing) I am sorry again, and I can only keep trying harder.sorry again.
@@WillJamesRailwaysmate you do a fantastic job! All the best for 2025
No apologies necessary Will. You provide a brilliant service to the Aussie model rail community that we should all feel thankful for. Your work is appreciated
Listening to DCC-EX saying they are wanting to make Railway Modeling affordable to everyone, maybe they could do a pitch to Hornby to save their company. Hornby's prices are outlandish, the TT120 isn't selling at all (just ask Hobbyco to get a vibe) and Hornby's DCC requires yet another total rebuild. Will I had a shocking 2024, ever since the Apple Studio Display blew up I'm lost in the woods, had another new low year on my channel as Google do their best to shut me down. 10 years of solid decline on TH-cam. I can't see how anything can change.
Thanks for this update, and all your hard work into this channel 👍 Let’s see what this year brings 😁🍺🍺🍺
For the first time in years I'm super excited for a model - that being the 94 class 😅
I’m sure it’ll be great!
Amazing stuff available for serious modellers.
Yes, absolutely!
Love your videos. Happy New Year mate
Happy New Year!
Awesome Will, hope you had a gr8 christmas for last year & a Happy new Year, m8.
Thanks, you too!
Will, Happy New Year. Thank you for bringing us the news, and hopefully we might meet at some of the exhibitions. I really appreciate the time you take to collate, and bring us the news. Cheers, and stay safe, Happy Modelling. Michael
A Few things to add for the D55 Consolidation, For DCC you need a small 8pin chip to fit in the tight space in the boiler. Also for the tender coupler to work properly you will need to bend it upwards to have a proper couple to alot of rolling stock.
Thanks for the info, very helpful!
Happy New Year. Hope to see you at the 'bool!
Looking forward to it!
Nothing from SDS? Does anyone know if they’ll be at Geelong this year? Their website doesn’t show any upcoming events.
Nope! They very very rarely want to be included or rather don’t reply to attempted correspondence. I can’t comment on if they’re going as I’m not involved with the exhibition. Sorry I can’t be more helpful
Hello James, a fantastic video as always, it is terrific that all these model railway manufacturers keep you at the bosom of information.
Glad you enjoyed it! Also my name is Will!
Happy new year will
Same to you!
Happy new year will 🎉from uk 🇬🇧 all the best
Happy new year!!
Nice news video Will. Looking forward to the new year and the new models that will be coming out. Hope you had a good new years eve.
Happy new year!
Thanks Will, Awesome, Can't believe we're back in to another year and on that "" Happy New Year "" Regards John
Thanks John!
Waiting for new releases from Auscision is just an inconvenience. Waiting for something you pre-oredered in May 23 for delivery in the third quarter of that year is something else entirely.
Another reason I won’t pre order!
I reached out to them and got a refund as I was sick of waiting. I told them they need better communication 🤷♂️ I found out the Cls were delayed for the 100th time (exaggeration) from a group on Facebook and not from them. Look at other manufacturers in Australia they constantly update you and if it gets delayed they tell us or if it arrives early then it’s a celebration
I paid for 4 x Eureka 38 class locomotives, which I was able to pay for in regular installments. These are fully funded by October 2019. Thus far, nothing has arrived as yet.
Great video Will, those A2 are coming along fantastically, I’m definitely looking at getting one
Thanks! I'm glad you like them!
salutations for 2025 bro!!!
Thanks!
7:49 Uh... that's the works plate for Clyde Engineering. The NSWGR emblem is very different in appearance.
My mistake. Thanks for correcting it
CL class, DEB, MGFH,NPHH models are.all awaiting a ship to transport the container to Australia.
Would love to get confirmation on that!
It's on their Facebook page.
Do you know anything about the SDS K classes Will? Nice video!
So as this is an ongoing comment and I’ll just keep addressing it. I have had no correspondence answered from SDS. If I knew or had any information I would have put it in the news. Sorry I can’t do better.
@ ok all good, thanks mate! Happy 2025!
I was wondering what was going on with Auscision's releases this month. I know I'm not alone when I say I'm still waiting on the release of the CLP/CLF class units. I definitely have my eyes on CLP-9 if that one is in the pipeline. Since it seems Australian trains also use Kadee Knuckle couplers I can do mix-n-match consists, thus I'm thinking CLP-9 might make a nice running mate for my model of Santa Fe 5704 (Santa Fe's recently fully restored 1976 American Bicentennial Unit) from Athearn: Genesis. To that end when I bought that engine from my local hobby store that was the day that those guys became aware of Auscision Models' existence.
Great video will can’t wait for Januarys model news keep up the good work
Thanks
what music did yoy use in the Intro?
No idea I just pay for music license from different sites
A now defuncy private college in Peterborough (UK) used images from Peterborough (Australia) including from this museum on their website.
That place turned me right off 24 years ago when I took a visitor from Canada to show her some of our history and after paying the substantial admission price, walking around for a couple of hours before finally returning to the entrance tables and chairs for the included ‘cup of tea’,..I was amazed to see that the cup of tea did NOT include a two cent biscuit. I even jokingly mentioned the Aussie tradition of the traditionally included biscuit with the cup of tea,….. only to be bluntly told “We don’t supply a biscuit”… WOW,.. see ya,….and I’ve never been back to that miserly attitude there since.
Hi all, just interested in venturing into this hobby after many years of absence. I would like to start with small portable lay-out 1 metre by 60 cm approx, N scale, using DCC equipped locos. I would like to know are their plans readily available for layouts, also where is the best resource for purchasing flexible tracks. Only just found this channel and subscribed have only seen USA videos so far. I live in a regional area in southern NSW not close to any shows unfortunately. Cheers Peter... Thank you...
Thanks Will, what is the music for Yendys?
As a person living in Wales and a manufacturer of Narrow gauge model railways (all be it in SM32), this is a fantastic video, well done 😀
Remember it’s the fake Kadee 😂 it’s a European style means you can pull the coupler out and replace it with a real Kadee European style .
I noticed that the 800 Class models are not happy working on hand laid track that has gauge issues due to humidity expansion/contraction. The fine scale tread width demands perfectly gauged track or else! Not a complaint, just an observation, as they are gorgeous models!
I love narrow gauge amazing video will the layout looks good
All those buildings were bought from Victoria
Will, thank you for sharing, it was, sorry still is. an impressive layout. I can remember it from a while ago, it is awesome in real life. Please pass on my thanks for letting you share with us. Cheers, stay safe, and Happy Modelling, Michael
Will, great news as always. Thank you for taking the time to collate and bring it to us. It is always appreciated. I hope that you, and yours, have a merry and festive Christmas, and a safe and happy New year, and Santa is generous with lots of railway stuff. Cheers, stay safe, and Happy Modelling, Michael
Great video, Will. 😎 And fantastic review of the Auscision XPT set as well. I too are very happy with their sets. although mine's only DC (will convert to DCC later) they are very good to have in the collection. I got the set that has 'City of Melbourne" on XP2017. I also got all 3 special livery from that Mid-late 1990s era too. XP2009 in the 140 Years of NSW railway Tilt Train livery is out of all my favourite of them all. XP2000 in Sydney 2000 Olympic Games livery is another, recently got XP2001 in The Centenary of Federation livery. They are absolutely great to have in the collection. Thanks to your video. I've gone ahead and got the dummy couplers for my 38 class models made by Sixcoupled Engineering from Trainworld. keen to fit it onto my models. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you, Will. 🎄🎅🏻 Best regards, Josh
