There’s a k class at the park here in Mildura so I’d love to have a model
Pissed of as never even heard of it till now , just course I live on property outside of town shouldn't matter to the extent I never heard or seen anything about it even when I shop in town .Lilac festival is on now in town but everyone knows about it , while this railway event is on the hush hush in comparison. So is it same time next year or something different as I DO NOT want to miss what seams such a interesting fantastic event again
Sorry to hear John! I had it advertised in my month news for about 6 months, if that helps for keeping up to date with all announced exhibitions!
@WillJamesRailways need to put on FB or local paper although I don't get local paper as my local is windellama community which is only 12 pages or so , but if was in Goulburn post I would have learned of it , anyway looking forward to ya next event 😀
Its "County" "Duh ram"
Thanks for the correction!
Good to see "Orbost 1981" out of storage again. :)
Nice to meet you in person Will, I'm glad as a "Goulburnite" that it was a great show, and your coverage was Excellent. I'm tempted to show my layouts next year.
Love the Wan Chai depot. I lived in HK for 3 years, and all it all feels so familar, all the liveries are spot on, including the red taxis for HK island the green ones for the New Territories. I hope I get a chance to see this one at a future exhibition.
Not bad for a weekend junket
A really good review, thanks Will. I wonder if Gresham’s basis on 19 May 1982 is because that’s the birth date of the layout’s creator?
great vid on channewl thanks for the share thanks lere
Excellent coverage, Will, as we have come to expect! I had hoped to attend this exhibition, but it was not to be. However, having watched your video, it feels like I saw everything, just without the 4 hour round trip to get there and back! Thanks!
G'day James, You should have hitched a ride with Robbie. He was there early Saturday morning, before the exhibition opened ! Cheers, Gary.
@@Gaz3801 unfortunately, (and this is the reason I couldn’t go) on Saturday morning I was in Newcastle!
@@jamesmcinerney2882 Well that certainly would have made for one hurried drive to Goulburn ! 😆😆
My vote goes to Down Town Spur, the devil is in the detail. Scattered rubbish weathering and rusting was awesome. Also nice because you now rarely see USA based layouts, it's all so Oz now.
Thank you kindly. You may remember my old layout Industry Lane which was at the St Lukes exhibition years ago. I'm positive you made the same comment, "The devil is in the detail..." Cheers, Gary.
@@Gaz3801 When I heard Will say Gary I did wonder if it's the same creator as the beautiful planks I saw at St Lukes. And thinking how St Lukes folded and Covid was the nails in the coffin. Gone was one of the better tiny boutique train shows. My son who's older now still remembers the POWER of holding the DCC controller and controlling your layout. Anyway now I know your TH-cam channel, hopefully we will meet up at a train show. I only recently came out of my cave to see the Great Train show (ex Brick Pit) and because of various things it had been 8 years between looking over a train show. Gary you are a master model maker and believe me in my real world work I've seen the best.
@@leokimvideo Thank you for your kind comment, very much appreciated. How time flies by. It was sad to see the St Lukes show disappear, it was as you said, one of the better boutique exhibitions. Good to hear that your son has fond memories from the St Lukes exhibition. Hopefully the bug has bitten your son and he is modelling now too ! Cheers, Gary.
Billabong flat has always been one of my favorite layouts to see at exhibitions. Great video Will
That was a really Cool Video, The layouts were great and the the details to these Layouts were crispy clean Video wise and the comments on them was fascinating to listen to, It's certainly a labour of love and my Congratulations to all the Participants.... Thanks Will....
Wow so much N Scale and a Hong Kong tram layout!
footage looks so crispy
Well done Will.
Lots of N scale now. They look great. A very good show and high quality layouts.
was a great first show and was a pleasure meeting you Will
G'day Will, fantastic layouts, thank you so much for the video, the travel, filming and editing you have done, loved watching, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
Orbost is amazing. I have to squint to see it, showing my age eh.
Nice exhibition report Will. Didn't realise this was the first exhibition this club has put on! There were some good layouts on display. I especially like the Orbost 1981 layout.
Great looking show and report. On my list of shows to attend in 2025!
I attended this and it was an excellent exhibition! Well done to the organisers.
G'day Will, Great video once again. I am definitely looking forward to going back next year with my expanded Miami Down Town Spur layout. Cheers, Gary.
8:26 what loco is that? Looks so unique (both yellow). Where can I find it in real size?
They sold them really cheap but had to buy some of them back because the new trains were running behind schedule had to pay top dollar to get them back and then only keep them for a couple of years before getting rid of them for less than scrap value
Great video Will and you did an amazing job painting your new figures. You made it look easy ;-)
Thanks!
Great work as usual Will!
Thanks again!
Ross. Auscision release estimates at 14:54.
Excellent presentation. Much to look forward too.
Thank you!
Thanks for your very interesting and informative video presentation Will. Some high quality models available for the Australian modellers.
Thank you!
I have read there will be no Sleeper Carriages on the new Sydney to Melb XPTS. Why friggen not ? That's a bloody joke. Maybe the airlines are involved in the decision. So to make people use airplanes more.
There wasn’t any sleepers on the XPT whilst they transitioned the day trains, it wasn’t until they decided to cancel Melbourne/Sydney Express they built the sleepers, so it might happen the same way again! I guess we’ll see!
My grandparents took the train to Portland to the old station. They always took the older diesel locomotive. I reckon it was an F7.
What a time that must have been! It would have been a real hive of activity then!
They used to take the train to Port fairy to
great vlog thanks lee
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice news video Will. I pre ordered the Auscision N class rerun I'm looking forward to it arriving. I ordered N475 City Of Moe in V/Line orange and grey.
Good choice!
Still waiting for an RTR MZ 😢
You and me both!
When are the Sixcoupled items available ? I had a look on Trainworld , also googled , nothing ?
I searched for : trainworld powerline Y class steam Using Google and found some of the shops standard model info and ordering system. Not the greatest way to launch an expensive new model that I have seen.
Hopefully the glitch with them appearing on the Train World web shop will be sorted soon. The current lineup is all available in-store though!
Brilliant video Will James
Thank you!
only 50 per number of the N classes? what?
Yeah seems to be a common thing with their re-runs now!
@@WillJamesRailways damn lot smaller than I thought it would be
great update Will... so many exciting new products coming out
There certainly is!
Will, great news as always. Some interesting items now coming out, thank you for the updates. Cheers, and stay safe Michael
Thanks, you too!
I'm glad I found these monthly updates. Been waiting since May 2021 for my CLF/CLP order from Auscision. Subscribed to your channel too.
Awesome! Thank you!
Has anyone got links to the Haskell puffing Billy coaches? Can not find a link on their website, cheers
I think you have to email them directly!
I'm glad you can sneak Thomas The Tank into the video, daring to do considering how rogue the TH-cam systems are set now. The appeal process against a Kids video has a new twist to it. When you appeal you get a instant notification that the appeal has failed. Very obvious to me the videos is not being looked at now. I always had that suspicion and now I can confirm it. As for the model Telecom pillar models make sure when you set them on a layout they are tilted over. Just about every one where I live has been hit by a car or vandal attacked. Will I see the XPT heading north out of Sydney and honestly it's looking VERY shabby, lots of rust stains, dirty filthy and looks like something from a 3rd world country. I hope the modellers who will be buying the next shipments dirty them down to their current state of disrepair.
bro your spider videos scared me a lot back then lol
The telecom pillars are definitely ready for some weeds at the base and a bit of graffiti scribble! The prototype up the street, used to measure up, had the top cap loose!
@@SixcoupledEngineering Where I live the NBN Node Boxes have all been graffitied and sticker slapped. When there's a power failure generators get attached to the Nodes. They get stolen within a day. The criminal activity that's happening these days is far worse than say 20 years ago. If something is not totally locked down and it's in a public place it's going to be stolen. The metal theft post Covid is rife now. RSL Memorial plaques are a prime target. Copper earth stakes anywhere in a public place never lasts long as well. This is not the Australia I grew up in.
Thanks Will, What a great Show for the Whole Family to Read and Listen to. Cheers...
Cheers for the shoutout will!! Thanks for the news!
Thanks again for the help with this one!
@@WillJamesRailways anytime !
I'm really looking forward for the K classes, thanks Will!
Me too!
Another great update, really looking forward to the K Classes, looks like it'll be well worth the wait! keep up the fantastic work mate!
Thanks, will do!
In addition to the CL class engines, Queensland railway locomotive eating their yellow and red(ish) paint job caught my eye too. Oh and those vibrantly painted steam engines (I think they were K Class). Outside of the UK it’s not often you see a steam engine so vibrantly painted. You definitely don’t see that here in America.
yeah they are pretty cool, two greens, red, blue and black (sometimes with red highlights)
Yes, the Steamrail preserved K class 2-8-0 vibrant liveries certainly enthused their travelling public customers when they introduced them after using the Victorian Railways black for the earlier preservation era.
@@johnd8892 very well said!
Thanks for the update!! Hope to see you in Sunbury.
Thank you! I’ll be there!
