I got 3 minutes into the tutorial before I had to post my earlier comment. I'm continuing on 'mute'.

I'm really wanting to get thru this tutorial because organic shapes are tricky in Tinkercad. But I may not get the full benefit because I,ll have to do it on 'mute'. WHY oh WHY on earth did you put that utterly terrible and pointless music track in the background. It adds nothing but an annoying distraction to your tutorial. 🙁

Right at the beginning, there is no "Featured Shape Generators" on Tinker CAD, nor anything similar that I could find. Stopped there.

Hey! I'm a grade 10 student learning this program for my tech design class, we have this one assignment to make whatever we want in tinkercad so I decided to make a model/figure of this one character from a japanese show called Attack on Titan. His name is Eren Yeager. At the moment I've finished what I want so far, just working on the hair. I have a bunch of thinned and strentched out spheres for the hair strands but when I have the shape I want and try to group, it takes forever and it's just been red for the longest time. Is there a better way for me to group?

If I were to 3D print this lobster, I'd either stand it on its end, or better for this design, the side, then sink 50% of it into the slicer bed, then duplicate that, and turn the other half topside. Print them in 2 pieces, then glue them together. That's how I attack odd shapes that don't really have a designed flat surface. Thinking about it, maybe it would be better to print one end in one piece, then the other end in 2 pieces... That's not clear enough. Either that, or I'd import it back into TinkerCad and do it there. It's really a piece of cake if you attack things by splitting them. You have to determine the method that gives you the fewest parts that need support structures to print. And if I do need supports like this one will, I use "Tree" supports in Cura. Best design in a slicer I know of. Sorry that I'm so late to this party, but I have only been designing for a few months, and got my first 3D printer about 10.5 months ago (November 2020). Very nice content. This really helped me because I'd never heard of the extruder until this video. One thing: How can you extrude an object, then round it off? Does extrusion have a bevel setting? If I wasn't supposed to be working on a DVD for my wife right now, I'd go check. I'm in enough trouble taking the break to watch the video (I watched 100% of it)...
