:D last year format was made of 3 tiers : under 300 / 300 to 1000 / 1000 and above - now all price points means anything under 300 goes toe to toe with 1000 and above - in a single video. There is nothing in my video under 100 but the closest one is the Gravitas Pocket Pultruded Carbon - 160E

:D I think no branding on the nib is as well a no no - there needs to be a balance - maybe they will work on a bit as the brand starts to pick up more and more. Possible a stamping die that can make the nib have that extra visual touch to it, of course, combined with a balanced motif - the black is a looker

because at the moment of recording ... the only experience I had with eyedroppers where from using namiki/danitrio pens which are so well done its not a thing happening with them - or at least with mines :D thats why - anyway its a filling system that I dont like how it works and how volatile its in daily use - unless its a namiki or danitrio pen

I'd be curious to know when the ink level gets low if the pen burps ink all over the last line of a nicely composed and written letter.

why would a low ink volume be correlated with burping ink ? Usually how it happens is a large amount of ink that is filled in the pen and that has a lot of weight in the barrel that makes it flow more that usually - resulting in a burp - at least in my experience.

Well I've heard the theory that with low volume of ink now replaced by air, the air expands in the barrel with the heat of your hsnd p and forces the ink out - burp.

:D well to be honest - im not a huge fan of yellow, but every time I see a yellow pen im liking it (in person), this happen to me with a sailor kop mandarin yellow, first pics was like - its ok but nahhhh, then we had a customer ordering one and we brought it in stock, then I was like ... uhhhh that looks good! Same goes for Parker Mandarin Yellow - Same goes for this Ultem, although the ultem is a orange-ish yellow, I like that using red inks in it / orange inks - shows as translucent also the ink. A blue ink or green in - shows as almost opaque black

:)) both could be correct - quirk's are a lot of them / quarks I have like 3 :D The new Pocket launch its coming in a week or so, currently we are waiting to number the pens with the serial number

:D thank you Alexa - that was the whole point of the Neptune Blue, to have a good Blue Black sheening ink but to tone down the things that usually put me off (and possible other users) from getting a sheening monster ink. Thank you for the feedback - I think there needs to be more content that shows up a rather evolving face of the hobby and not only about purchasing more writing instruments that pile up to being too much to use or too spread to get a sense of what you actually like. Im not the best example when it comes to "dont buy too many too soon" - thats why I always have disclaimers about this, but in time the taste in pens will evolve, as well with the taste in nib sizes and inks - some channels will have a more commercial approach and will praise something that they retail and its nothing wrong with this, I cant do that since for me its a passion first, sharing it is what got me here and I identify with the person that im sharing my content/passion with, that is why you see the evolution with my collection, with inks and nibs and all that have to do with me :D PS didnt wanted to include chapters so people wouldn't jump for the top and thats it - will include those a little later so now the late viewers can just skip the line :))

Not trying to scare any Spitfire owners but it may happen, for me it started when I had it inked up with some green ink (forgot which one) and only at the section more noticeable. Then I’ve seen my barrel almost joining the section and was next to impossible to unscrew it so I started using grease - will have to contact Onoto and see maybe there is something that I’ve missed or this normal when it comes to this specific pen and its alloy

KoP all the way 😁 - overpriced or not, it’s a maki e work that considering that from the next days all the gold nib pens and urushi line of sailor will be increasing with 30%, ill make some people question what is the actual value and how time changed this since we will be so different after the price adjustments

we are trying to resolve this - quite difficult with the prices that are listed without VAT and then with VAT for users in EU - the glitch happens but once selected anything else than EUR - just a refresh click and it shows the selected ones :D

@@pen.venture I understand the value of offering multiple currencies to your customers. However, the current state of the currency converter on your website might be creating a negative user experience. I'd suggest temporarily removing it until it can be fully operational and accurate.

I take this as compliment :)) - I had people that have no idea what I'm doing with writing instruments walking in while I record videos ... those are some very funny conversations - where I need to explain quickly why 3 cameras are pointing at me ... full purple lights ... curtains pulled ... no other lights open .... at 12 noon time :))

@@pen.venture In videos on any products, the camera should focus on the products rather than the person presenting. May be it's a tactic to force the viewers to open the website and have a look at the pen 😂👍🏻

:)) it may be a point but ... on the list of things showcased maybe like 3 or 4 max pens are still available to be purchased, my intention is not to sell something - and this has been my aim since I've started the channel, its a great time spent with people that follow the same passion like I do and anything after this that may include the website and store side of Pen Venture is a big bonus that I take with a great responsibility and im thankful for it

:D when it comes to urushi they use a flat end cap with no trim and a narrower body of the Pro Gear series :D - they call it KOP but its only available for the urushi/maki-e series

You can do it! Lefties are some of the most cool people I know :D you need to get creative with the orientation of the paper and if you write up or down or diagonally - check some videos with copperplate / spencerian stuff that can help
