You bring up a good point, I never knew anyone would ever talk about the accuracy and reality of What About Discord because i felt like the moral was really well done in that ep

"your right I'm jealous...I'm sorry.." that's this ep in a nutshell that's what this ep is. is not about someone getting jealous. is about others being jerks. but what makes this ep worse. it was forcing Twilight to make her believe she is jealous. and non of her friends even tried to tell her any details. so that was uncalled for. yes the message is there that is ok to admit you are jealous. but when people make you believe you are this emotion. when your real emotion has nothing to with it is another. that's just toxic behavior. "so let me get this straight. I just asking what were you guys doing so I can understand right?" "yes" "but you only think I'm jealous about everything. just because I missed the bonding?" "so you were jealous" "yes only on that part. everything else I just trying to understand the jokes. so I could laugh at them." "you just have to be there." "WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU?!" I’m usually jealous of opportunities they got that I didn’t. Especially work. A lot of my workmates have had internships and trips that beefed up their resume. I had to work to make ends meet through school.

I'm happy to see other types of content as well, I found you off of a more scripted and inspiration type videos and have stuck around since. Oh also-- Rarity is my second favorite, but Twilight has absolutely grown on me as I've gotten older, also since her character developed into someone way more interesting to me as the series went on. A few of my favorite 'Twilight' episodes are Trivial Pursuit and Every Little Thing She Does (as a kind mentor and Starlight growing on me too www).

Fluttershy is my favorite too ! As a kid she always had this gentle and calming presence and I still love her songs the best, such as the solo in Fili Vanili. And as an adult she is like the voice of reason we could all use and she's kind to herself and others. She knows her own limits and understands she has anxiety and makes her home as friendly and safe feeling to herself as best she can, such as her under the bed hiding spot for nightmare night, and her animal friends were supportive of her efforts too!

I played this and got so sad when I couldn't do everything

The sad part, out of the mobile games, I'd say this is the best one. It's aaaaaaaaalll downhill from here. The game's not too bad until it hits you with that progress-halting paywall. I don't think there's even a legitimate way to unlock the other characters without spending money. That's mobile games for you. Fun video, man. Very chill. I'd like to see you do more.

This is exactly why that this show to me is best cartoon because I don’t think there’s any other show that has this much impact on what it is teaching you and how the characters were portrayed. Heck like I know most people watch cartoons like SpongeBob, Family Guy, or anything else cartoon related that is most memorable but man MLP FiM is a whole new story I think more people should gave it a chance and see what makes it great.

"negative" emotions aren't bad it's what you do with them

This episode convinced me that twilghts friend group is majorly toxic. Like a spit in the face, she's their punching bag in this. They didn't learn from Lesson Zero not to ignore twilight if she's genuinely distressed? Just chalking it up to jealousy like her friends were right. They were right in always shoving it in twilight face they had a great time without her. Not bothering to explain simple jokes, discord being a major ass for no reason (well actually for a reason, he has this weirdly huge hatred for Twilight in the later seasons) I felt left out a lot and it really hurt me in my most important moments growing up, but seeing it be proven right? That was even worse. Twilight was happy for them but I can sympathize her literally wanting to learn more about their hangout given they didn't shut up about it. And putting what they said to thought? Their hangout actually seemed boring. This lesson made me so angry at how it was treated. Intentionally leaving someone out isn't good. THAT should've been the lesson. Even if twilight didn't wish to go they at least had the courtesy to ask her. But no, they kept shoving it in her face, discord was even worse. All of their performances only showed they genuinely tried making twilight feel bad for choosing to do something she loved by herself. Hence punishing her for not putting them first. One of the worst episodes to be written

Admitting to yourself that your jealous is a start it helps you let it go. Just being real with yourself and allowing yourself to have the truth of it and coming to a relaxing point. Feeling calm enough to admit it.

Ok I can see that we have a toxic Life is Strange fandom in the comments which cant stand the fact that their perfect Twilight is not perfect and she can be pretty unfair as well. Like this is her own fault that she dint go to have fun with her friends, she needed to learn that. Deal with it. Unlike your lovely Maxine Caulfield Twilight is not a mary sue which can do whatever she wants without being blamed for it.

As someone who has relatives who make me feel angry or upset (by treating me like a servant rather than a relative), I relate to this. Like Fluttershy, I've been shy to the point where I barely stood up for myself. So, I try to stand up for myself. But, every time... EVERY. SINGLE. TIME., everyone around me (mostly relatives) would tell me to drop the attitude and "You don't get (this, that and/or the other...)!!!!!!" Only to ask me if I'm upset by anything whenever I choose to go to another room to try and relax. 9 times out of 10, I'll always say "I'm fine." I know that it's not healthy, but what am I supposed to do when I constantly remind them "How can I stand up for myself without showing an attitude?" it's not easy for someone who's neurodivergent.

I guess I'm jealous of my sister, because she's the golden child. To my mother and step-father, she always did everything right and they give her all the support and money she needs to succeed. But me ? I'm the scapegoat child. I always did everything wrong in their eyes, and as soon as I didn't pass my class and had to dropout from university because I didn't find anywhere else to go, they stopped pretending to care and sent me to live with my father's place. I'm jealous of more popular writers or creators sometimes, because due to the way my parents treated me, I always felt like I wasn't good enough. I still know I have passions and talents, but I always feel like it's not good enough to get noticed. Because I don't get noticed, no matter how hard I try. So I tell myself that it's not fair. Why do these other people get to be loved and acclaimed for the things they create, and I don't ? Are my parents right and I'm actually worth less than people like this who are actually skilled, and people don't care about me because my content isn't good enough ?

At least that movie gets that right.

Thanks for this video! Really brought some insight, because I was extremely confused the whole time watching this episode. I don't know why, it just felt so random, I was 100% sure that Discord was up to some shenannigans just to troll Twilight, or her friends were pranking her? But then, it turns out they actually did hang out without Twilight, and Discord wasn't joking. And idk why, but I found that really weird? Especially Twilight's friends behaviour was strange to me, they all seemed so out of character? Idk

When I was a pre-teen on 2018-2020(on a time before being a brony 3 years later on 2021),I remember being jealousy to some Powerpuff Girls fans because I wanted the merchandise of the show,like the toys(I only had Buttercup,later lost)and the DVD of the movie(and I didn't have the comics). Back on that era,I was hooked to PPG. However,I learned about my feelings and saying that I'm not inferior in one,but some things: First off: because of the forced praises on PPG,Mom was tired of me talking about the comparations on October 2019. No suprise that I didn't talk about PPG for her again until late 2021. Second,my interest on PPG reached its downfall on February 2021 after stopping being friends with a toxic fan called Levi Bryant. This was more intense on April and later June when I quitted being a fan and later became a PPG hater and blamed the show because of this chaos. Though I don't diss the show [PPG] like I used to And third,it's better to stick with the things that I like in the past and recent,like Sonic. Plus,on July 2021,I got interest on anime,and got a lot of T-shirts,action figures,manga and more about my favorite Japanese animated series. 2024 by the way was a strong year for this.

MLP is such a great show with good morals. I'm just a bit sad that despite it's qualities people overlook it, just because it's a supposedly silly 'children cartoon' and any adult that likes it is considered Weird or a... you know. Just hate how stigmatized it is to like MLP, even in Gen Z there are a lot of people with this mindset.

Yes, it is okay to feel jealousy, which is not at all described in this episode in any way shape or form. Have you ever been afraid someone is going to take something from you? If not, you've never been jealous. Does Twilight fear Discord is taking all her friendships away? No? Then she's not jealous. ENVY is the desire to possess that which someone else has. Twilight is envious of Discord because while she was being a shut-in with her OCD he was having fun with her friends and she missed out.

Thank you so much for making this video! Jealousy is such a complex thing for me to identify for whatever reason, because I confuse it with general spite, and being rude. It came to me that I might be an envious and jealouse person, so seeing this on my feed really helped ease me. Its only now I realize that the concept of jealousy is always demonized, or played for laughs. :)

I really love discord and huge reason why is he always helping the mane 6 in his own way like when he helped rainbow dash get a gift for Fluttershy that was actually a monster but he knew that so then Fluttershy was able to be the hero who saved them I also like him the most in this ep he helps twilight to learn how to deal with jealousy

4:14 and shows other than Mlp don’t exactly help. The characters will react with “ooooh someone’s jealous” which makes it seem like their jealousy is invalid

I don't like this episode. She wasn't "jealous" she just felt left out. I feel if they wanted it to be about jealousy, she should've been spiteful towards Discord specifically. I thought that's what would happen since it seemed specific that Discord was there. It was as if he replaced her.

Seeing my best friend being better friends with other people than me makes me jealous, but I also get happy by seeing her happy. It’s so mixed:’)

Sometimes i need a reminder that its okay for me to be jealous of other peoples families, even though i know their families aren't exactly perfect (far from it). I just get so wraped up in my own head about it that i forget that that feeling is normal and okay. It even gets a little funny (in a HaHa sort of way) when i hear them being jealous of ME! What i saw as loneliness, they saw as freedom. What i saw as bonding, they saw as smothering. What a twist!😂
