    Hey Chip, I loved this video. And subscribed. I have a few questions. 1. Do you mulch up against the trunk of the plant, or leave a gap? 2. Your row spacing looks wide. How far apart? 3. Is that so you can get equipment thru there? 4. Do you do anything to keep birds off the fruit? Thx! 😊

    • @SeedsofPromise
      @SeedsofPromise 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      When the plants are young I would leave a small gap, maybe a couple of inches. Actually my row spacing needs to be about 5 ' more than what I have them. I have them about 10' apart and they need to be about 15'. It is very tight to get a mower through the rows when your bushes are mature. If you have a small amount of bushes you will need to net them with insect netting. (not bird netting, birds will get caught up in the bird netting. If you have a large number of bushes as we do there really isn't a problem that is noticeable. Hope this helps and I'm happy to have you subscribed to our channel.

    Hello, Good morning!! I have two young blueberry plants planted this March. I noticed that there are lots of very tiny brown/ red spots both on top and back of the leaf. We had heavy rain this year. I live in Georgia. Not sure if it’s because of nitrogen deficiency or too much of water or fungal disease. Please advise. Thank you so much for your time!!!

    • @SeedsofPromise
      @SeedsofPromise 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It could be either. When planting blueberries they need a lot of organic matter in the soil. You want your pH between 4.5 and 5.5. Normally you would fertilize around late February or Early March in your area or when you buds are breaking. I would check your pH first. Do a soil test to make sure the bushes have what they need. If it is fungi you could spray with Captan. It treats most fungi on blueberries.
