Mike, I moved to Walt Williams Rd. Because when I came to look at a place for sale I got off at exit 33 and that's the first thing I saw that lake. I have lived here almost 4 years ago and never fished that lake because I can't find public places to fish that isn't all weeds or lily pads

I always loved swimming in Crystal springs. I can't believe.they shut it down but maybe it's because some people dont try to keep it clean or selling the water is more important .

For the swamp I'll stick with my 16' tin can boat. Hard to beat a mod V jon boat for all around utility and stability. For salt water I'm looking at a S16, LT25 or Carolina Skiff.

This used to be a major attraction in the mid 80's and 90's. Loved this springs.

This is the best river to take your family anywhere in Florida. Swim with the real wildlife in crystal clear water. We love diving with the gators.

I would not try to take a trailered boat in via that ramp. I'm just saying. They do have people on the lake with motors from time to time.

Lake Hartwell is where to go for anything watercraft. Good hotels, good eats, great people.

Lake Alfred? A little too noisy for my liking. There is really nice access and safe parking.

GO HIGHLAND LAKES CONFERENCE CENTER AND ADVENTURE CAMP. We love that place. It is Dec 2023 and lake is at about 30% water right now.

You gotta love the Gheenoe boats. Any model is a winner! Our family has had four of them.

Small lake, but real calm and easy to fish from the Kayak or Canoe. I have heard of some nice Bass coming out of here.

Mike, I got my New Gheenoe LT25 Friday and took her out today to break in the motor. I was able to get her up to 29.6mph but I know she will do 30mph easy. It was windy today at the Debary St. Johns River Boat Ramp.

Pretty and primitive launch area. Water moves swiftly. Hold on to your kayak.😊
