How To: No Start Diagnosis and Fix Dead Fuel Pump (Infiniti G37)
มุมมอง 253หลายเดือนก่อน
Quick video and How To on the diagnosis and repair for a 2013 Infiniti G37. This was a little tricky as the U1001 code was not causing the no-start condition and is confusing as the FSM states that that code should be diagnosed first. However, following a simple and straightforward testing procedure we were able to correctly diagnose the issue as a dead fuel pump. We use a fancy scan tool here,...

Building My 280Z Into A Safari Car
มุมมอง 5172 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is my 1977 Datsun 280Z that I've turned into a safari car. This is a two part series where in this first video we update the suspension, wheels/tires, and complete a lot of deferred maintenance in the steering. In part two we are going to take a look at actually making this look cool, that includes the lights, skid plate, mudflaps, and then take it on a test drive to see how well it works....

Is it Ever Worth Buying a Project Car?
มุมมอง 6674 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video could seriously be over an hour long as there is a lot to cover on this topic but this is a brief overview of some common pitfalls, traps, and failures to look out for and help the decision making process of getting a project car. I feel like I have to say that this video is not financial advice, and if you did buy a project car that turned out to be a pile its not my fault.
Rescuing Our Forgotten Suzuki GS750

We've owned this Suzuki GS750 for a little over 4 years now and we initially did a complete restoration of the bike excluding tearing down the engine. Well its now sat for 2 years after moving out and its time to pay some more attention to it to get it running again. If you would like to directly support the channel go ahead and get a mug or a hoodie just in time for the summer from our page he...

A pickup truck is lighter in the back when not loaded, but snow tires do make a huge difference
DO NOT skimp on cheap gas. My 2012 GX now needs a new catalytic converter due to 4 years of filling up with 87. Costing me $2800. Also, that barn door handle is a pain and will stick. Cost me $300 to fix.
Now tell that to all the guys making videos about how their trucks ford dodge chevy out preform the rest it's the tires not the truck
The land cruiser weighs more so it would have more traction even with all season tires. Should have put 500-750 lbs in the Tundra and see what happens.
learn how to check the steering head bearings; you just lift the front wheel up a little, and shake / twist the forks on their pivot; there are two bearings in the assembly; MOST youtube mechanics are overlooking this inspection; it is a vital safety check....tks for fun videio.
Will definitely have to take a look. Thanks for the tip
Apples to oranges. The pickup has less weight on the rear than the SUV. A better test is swapping the tires to each vehicle. Not to dispute that winter tires are better, but use a real comparison.
So cool, great job
Surely there is a vehicle weight difference
Run the tires on the same vehicle. Snow tires are good, yes. But to get a better data point, you should run the same tires on the same vehicle.
You are testing with Two different vehicles, different weights and distribution. Yes snow tires are better but... Two different vehicles.
Not good need identical vehicle
This is a valuable lesson I learned when living in Germany
I do agree ,better tires work better in bad conditions. My problem is the pick up has less weight over the rear tires ,so less traction Not a good comparison.
Get some tracks lil Tundra... then stick out your tongue as you go over a snowbank
I bought a 1985 Japanese-spec Serow 225 back in 1997. I've had other more advanced bikes since and even before but call me weird if you like, that Serow is my favorite bike ever. I don't race. I just play and I play within the limits of the bike. I also used it for simply strolling around and for commuting to work. I had the most fun ever on two wheels on that Serow.
The Lexus SUV is not only heavier but has a more even weight distribution than the Tundra. However, winter tires have a significant advantage over MS tires.
I enjoyed this. I had a 72 KE 100 as my 2nd bike and this brings me back to it. Great editing and production BTW.
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed!
if the fork seals are shot, then the new oil wont stay long in there either, replaceing the seals is not resto, its maintenence
When everything needs work it very quickly spirals into restoration. I have the fork seals and will do them in a later episode, this was temporary just to set a baseline
that colour tune is a cool tool. I have never seen that before
The last owner was obviously a fastidious motorist! 6 speed manual is the good bit..I have had a few cheap Mercedes and I have had a good run out of them, bought an ML430 while I changed the motor out of my diesel truck, and love it and it goes anywhere!
shinko 244 are cheap but also really great tires
Great video! I hope I have the time and place to do a restoration like this at some point. I also really appreciate that you didn't clean the bike and make it look new, it has some charm to it when it looks old and rusty.
Thanks a lot! That's the vibe I was going for, so I'm glad to see someone else enjoyed it!
ALSO WEIGHT THE LANDCRUISER HAS WEIGHT OVER THE REAR AXLE AS THE TUNDRA JUST HAS EMPTY BOX WEIGHT ON THE BACK....PS...WHY THE HELL DONT YOU HAVE THE DOG IN YOUR TRUCK??
He likes to run in the yard
Whats the oil for the engine?
Any 10W 4T motorcycle oil safe for wet clutches will work. Not sponsored by any so I'm not going to name any specific brands
And for the oil tank for the oil injection I just used a standard 2 stroke oil
deport them all. if they want in there is a legal way.
Can I ask you why you would buy that.
Bought it, fixed it, used it for a year no issues, made money on it when I sold it
@Dan_And_Daves_Garage that's great just looked like it needed a ton of work. Good job fixing it.
500 dollers all day long
Why not clean all the oil and grease and crap off everything as you go?
This wasn't a restoration video? The whole purpose was to see how much effort it would realistically take to go from sitting in a barn since 1985 (according to the seller) to going out and enjoying it on a trail.
@@Dan_And_Daves_Garage How much did you spend getting it to where it is now?
About $400 with purchase price and all the new parts you saw get installed
That is lexus LX, not toyota land cruiser
That's awesome 👍👍💪💪💯💯
Thanks!
For $160 id take that deal
Ummm...of course.
Big difference in stopping too
Amazing
Thanks!
Blizzacks are garbage compared to real winter tyres. Those are simply over marketed and pushed in your face and you're "told" they are the best. They don't even test them with the best. The best brands are not included in testing because they outperform Blizzacks and X-ice etc.
Not to mention the difference in weight between the two vehicles. Do it right. Same vehicle. Different tires.
The best si 2005 , 2006 and 2007 series 80 in Venezuela
A plus . Ialways I keep a set of chains . You never know when you will need them.
Not an even comparison. Suvs have more weight on rear wheels
That Lexus SUV looks like a Honda pilot 2007
You should be cleaning and lubricating everything while you’re in there!!!! Use some locktite where needed.
Good call, I did clean and lube a lot of stuff off camera. I can't show everything or else this video would be 2hrs long
You might need to check the crank oil seals might be sucking air or oil into the cylinder. I recently replaced the seals and bearings in my 1981 Montesa trials bike and it made a big difference.
Thanks, I had a suspicion that this may be an issue, and I wanted to hear what others thought. Will definitely look into getting this done
Little bikes like that are so much fun!!
Part of me really wants to go wild with it with some porting, propper exhaust, top end rebuild, and some head work to really squeeze out as much power out of its 100cc's. But I'll enjoy it for what it is now
@ I love doing stuff like that, project bikes are so expensive here though these days 🙈
It's rough out there
Ke100?
1974 Kawasaki G5, just an earlier version of the KE100
@ I had a 77 ke100 I had a it175 carburetor on it happened to disappear after I got hurt on it
FIRST
Congratz!
I live in the south never have to worry about that
So fours paws on a German Shepherd are better than tires🤔
Also a reliable truck that first gen Tundra 4.7L
American primary care doc here from Oregon. A set of dedicated snow tires on rims is cheaper than a crash w insurance deductible and medical bills.
ITS ALL ABOUT THE SOLID AXELS FFS.
Yes, but some people may want to also consider safety, comfort, age, tech...
