in a real encounter don't skip as many sw3s, they are good damage, generate self-quickness, and allow you to enter forge with lower heat which gives you more leeway to do your forge rotation without overheating.

The statcalc on the sc website shows 10% too high critdamage, probably a typo. exactly same setup I get 235,4 and website says 245,4

this is pretty fire, no longer have the time to grind rotations and this is basically great dps for just facerolling the keyboard, forge under 100 heat, end forge before 150, press 3/4 in fordge and any non weapon buttons you can find and fit in time then roll face over keyboard even harder. Hurts my feelings to play like this but holy hell the damage at 0 thoughts.
damn, is it that easy? I'm looking for a medium armor dps to play instead of rev...guess I'll give holo a go.

The benchmark is slightly inflated because of the immob, so youre closer than you think.

yes, it seems like you would experience a marginal loss from running DH runes -- however, don't take the dragon's pieces if you do that (run full berserker instead)

Still wish I could manage hitting all those buttons T_T if profession skills didnt exist, i would totally play this class, but since i cant hit for those shit (no matter how many times I rebind and try to come up with alternatives) I am just trolling by even trying.
I used to struggle with the same issue, but my solution was to bind the profession skills as Alt + 1-5, so they were basically the same as my weapon skills but if I needed profession skills, just to hold alt and press the same buttons, if that makes sense

Having two more buttons on your mouse could help for that. There's also the old hammer build on Holosmith that is still working well and is clearly less difficult to play as you're going for the overheat.
How do you cancel the aftercast of sw2 and p4 when switching to grenade kit? Cant get hang of it, its all green in my logs and makes my every loop consist of two p4
you don't have to "cancel" an aftercast of either of those two skills -- you can press your button to enter grenade kit as soon as you start either sw2 or p4; you can even queue up a grenade skill as one of the aforementioned skills start casting. just make sure you don't over-queue and lose sw2/p4 when you do this.
Can you estimate how much DPS you're losing with hammer?
I have not tried hammer pbm this patch, so I'm not sure -- it's possible that hammer ECSU is viable now too. I'll try it out and get back to you.

Hello sir, is there any special reason why you cast first and detonate mine/mine field after further into rotation? I am not talking about precast but when you use mid rotation (0:43) and detonate after (0:49). Is it for faster animation time or is there any special reason besides that? It doesn't seem to get any passive bonus from high heat..tx!!

blade burst (the toolbelt skill for laser disk) sends up to 5 projectiles to enemies around you, all of which can be intercepted by enemy hitboxes. each projectile does the same amount of damage and you only get one hit per cast on the golem. in this particular golem pull, it hit 5 times for an average of 11361 per hit. if you were to get 5 hits per cast (25 hits total), it would have done 227220 extra damage on this golem pull, which would have increased the ending number (approximately) to 42148=(3984214+227220)/99.921, an increase of ~2.2k DPS. some examples where you can apply this in real encounters, every one of these examples also applies to gs5 on guardian: 1. vale guardian (stand inside hitbox when seekers are close) 2. gorseval (adds around boss) 3. sabetha (add spawns) 4. slothasor (slublings) 5. mursaat overseer (statues and soldiers) 6. siax (when the hallucinations walk in) 7. ensolyss (when the hallucinations spawn on the second part of the slam/shockwave attack) and many more. regarding burst access; check out the player summary - graph section to see which skills contribute to your damage spikes. the idea here is that you can enter forge and do a forge burst combo at intervals between ~15-20s depending on your initial heat level. this means that you can manipulate your damage curve on a phased fight to line up your damage peaks with phase lengths and allow you to dissipate heat and recharge cooldowns during a phase transition

I know condi mech is not good at CC, but how would you increase your CC without sacrificing DPS as much as possible? Would the changes look something like below (from the least to most DPS loss)? 1. Use the J-Drive build and save F3 2. Take Variable Mass Distributor and save F2 3. Go mace and save mace 3 4. Save Superconducting Signet + mace 2 (leap in the lightning field) 5. Replace the kit with a cc utility

That was very enjoyable to watch, thanks a lot! One question: Is it better to use Mine Field before Photon Blitz? You do this, so I take it it is, I'm just surprised that it doesn't make more sense to Blitz first and have Laser Disk earlier tic at higher heat levels and cast Mines afterwards. (Like at 1:18)
that would be better, you're right. I think I was worried about entering forge at higher than usual heat there and casted mines first thinking I could slow down the heat generation... lol

@@velkix.8283 usually can gives u like 3-4k food and the infusions like 1.5k so its not too much the stopwatch is a really good idea to practice this class but maybe there are other things that u need to consider if u share ur log maybe we can help u and is cody's video not mine <.<

not too hard if you have a comfortable jade sphere/attunement swap keybinds that don't conflict with each other

for whatever reason my exiting forge into sw2 into grenade kit is not as smooth as yours. I read the description of this video but I dont get what I need to do. enter exit photon is on my mouse button so easy to reach and still sw2 into grenade kit is choking. am I just garbage gamer or what I'm not seeing here :(
if your input is smooth and without delays, check your ping, if you have high ping (100ms+, roughly), it will be harder to time your button presses to get a smooth forge 3/exit/sw2 combo. casting shrapnel grenade after sw2 should be easy though, sw2 has quite a long cast time and you can queue it (enter grenade kit and press 2 while sw2 is casting)
