Welcome the my review of a Jomipsa 24 hour C.R.P Combat Ration Pack Menu #3
This was menu #3 western which had 2 mains in retort pouches, and a muesli.
This was a pretty decent ration, except for the drinks they are pretty terrible.
Was the ration made for the French Special forces or for UN Peace Keepers?

Thanks Jeremy, it's not a bad ration just a few bad components. Be interested to see if you like the drinks or the proteo plus, we are travelling and I found that stein in a house we were looking after, it came in handy for sure. Cheers mate

Very cool Pete. I am old school, so I like the boxed rations, even if they are older. There are always leftovers after the meal. Good looking components. I miss the D&E coffee, and Hot Diggity Dog sauce in these rations. Rombouts is good, however. I love the sesame bars, even if they are rough on my teeth. All mains and sides looked good to me. I think you ate well friend ! Awesome ration, awesome review. Peace, John.

Note that the hot chocolate was for 500 ml (canteen cup), not 200 ml (coffee cup) - no wonder it was a bit strong!

Having worked with West African militaries, I can tell you what you tried is uncommon. Most of them will mess in the field by cooking rice and beans, with some meat in regular pots. The rare field ration packs are donated by France or the US through military assistance. It woud be intesting to see where this was sourced. I suspect it's from China.
Gee you would be a bit pissed off if ya mate was eating a French RCIR, and you had 600 grms of rice lol. I am sure they probably cook mre than eat rations. I just found it odd it was a Chinese ration. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers mate

Hardly surprising that a small country outsources ration production. They look a LOT better than what the Chinese give their own troops though!
