This was actually really helpful. I was looking for meals I could take on a plane that don’t contain wheat and there are almost no MRE’s that don’t have tons of wheat in them. I might just have to try the chili. Great review.
Hi Peter. This is a pretty good menu. I like the cornbread, but not in chili. Crackers for me. The cornbread is sweet, so I just eat it by itself. Glad you like the cornbread. Beans in chili, that's the way to have it. Not spicy, that's the best. Combo's in chili, with the cheese and crackers is delicious. Great review buddy. Take care and have a great day.

I had a case of 2017 MRE’s. This one was one of my favorites. The chili with macaroni is good too. We had a 2017 beef brisket MRE that was bad though. Either the main or potatoes packet had burst and that ruined the whole thing.

Very cool Mate. This one of the simplest meals, however, very popular here. I appreciate your knowledge. You knew if double packaging, Ameriqual did it. Most would miss that. Very solid components. Combos, are what we call them as well. I see A lot of good food Hopefully, you will enjoy. I know, we are from different continents. I wish to explain something. What, the MRE'S, call cornbread, is not exactly, cornbread. LOL. I have tried, and , it is A lovely snack. I like it. Being from Southern U.S., real cornbread, is , well, savory, or, salty, not sweet. Some do add sugar, I admit. They are wrong, LOL. I enjoy, how you do your reviews, very relaxing to watch. It brightens my day, every time. I wish , my voice, could be as smooth as yours. I just wish, I could get over the stutter, LOL. I am glad, you found A decent meal, courtesy of, U.S.A. , LOL What you said, about the cinnamon gum, at end of review, slightly confuses me. It is not that hard to find over there, is it? I believe you, just, Different cultures , countries, vary. I am blessed to talk to people like you. Australia, Scotland, England, Poland, New Zealand , Croatia, Russia, and many more. I am glad, to have met, and, talked to so many different people and countries. Most , have not had the privilege. I hope, you consider this, A decent meal. There are2, new, 1 sort of , civilian, new, and, one old Brown Bag, I have hopes for, but, 1987? vintage, according to friend who sent it. My 1988, was , well, foul, besides coffee and A couple of side items. The 1992, most survived. I do know, this menu, is between , 1981-1987, unsure until I open? No outside date codes back then. Whichever I decide to post, with me luck. Glad to talk to you friend, Peace, John. I did one vintage, last week or so. Any preference?
Overall a nice filling meal. Too bad they did not pack a cookie or brownie instead of the crackers. A lot of we Yanks like to put cornbread and cheese in our chili with beans, so the meal is very complimentary with each other.

Small things in videos can accomplish a lot. Transitions between clips, sound quality, lighting and angles.

This is my very favorite duo. Chili and sweet cornbread. About 3 times a week, I make this at home. Winning combo!

Here in Texas, we break up our cornbread in our chili. Not mre chili necessarily. It's just how we do it.
