У меня сестра в аварию попала, в коме была, для меня эта песня, как молитва, каждый день ездил к ней в больницу, и на повторе слушал.

Iron Maiden слабее в плане вокала и соло. Одна из самых надоедающих чёрт Iron Maiden - это их нудность. Одну и ту же музыкальную тему они играют на разный лад по 4 раза, а Ария ограничивается двумя разами. Из-за этой нудности и Iron Maiden слушать не интересно. Это как смешной анекдот, который всем понравился, но который разказчик продолжает обсасывать так, как будто только он его понял правильно, а остальные глупые и им надо разжевать, где тут смешно.

What's worth mentioning that Romanian as language and blood goes well beyond the current borders of Romania. The version of Angra is very good. Andre Matos singing is amazing! And the guitar solo is very better than painkiller Death verson. But the drums, the sound and prodution of Death is much better!

The cover has the virtue of reimagining the song, whilst staying true to its spirit. It is a bit like Iron Maiden meets Manowar with Moody Blues sounding keys. I like it but I love the original. Cudos to them though for taking this song and doing something of their own with it and doing it well.

Just now seeing this vid, but the Epica version of this song is so freaking good. I blast it in my Jeep (which has an amazing sound system) and you feel the power in the song. I love epic powermetal metal. The female vocalist makes this more of an anthemic song. Also, the epica version has a couple of modulations that add more energy and evolution to the song. The orchestral parts also bring out that anthemic feel. Makes it a real battle cry/rally song. The child singing is okay, but it’s not great. Either way, the song absolutely slaps. One more thing about the female vocalist: if she had just a little more rage in her voice like the female who sings “A Rose For Epona” by Eluveitie, then the song would be completely unrivaled.

Arch Enemy did a cover in 2019. It was on their Covered In Blood cd.

I am not a fan of Death, and I certainly enjoy Angra a lot. I do think Angra’s version is good, but Death made the song their own so it’s my preferred version here. Although it’s so intense sometimes I’d rather listen to Angra. I still find the original to be the sweet spot for me though but Death really has a great take on it. No surprises many prefer their version.

How I miss those days of Shaman, as well as Andre. You could see his passion for music in his eyes, as well as interviews. Anamaria is so knowledgeable about both Angra and Shaman. She seems to genuinely be a fan of them, and very open minded about what they bring to the table. I wonder where that started! Albums like Holy Land and Ritual is something a bit lost through time, but there’s still so much good music coming everywhere both in Brazil and abroad. I hope the channel continues to do well, and that your passion for music never wavers.

For this song the vocals of Death is better for the aggression this song deserves. On the other hand the guitar work of Angra is better and the guitarplayers of Angra are amazing. No doubt Angra had a great singer, but this kind of song is not what he does best.

There are several covers of Iron Maiden "Powerslave", you ought to pick a few. British band Anaal Nathrakh does a version that is insane. Definitely different, but very recognizable..
