มุมมอง 20K2 ปีที่แล้ว

Innova Mako3 Review (Champion and Star) | Innova's Most Neutral-Flying Midrange Disc
มุมมอง 47K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The Innova Mako3 was initially released in 2017, and it is still one of the most neutral flying midrange discs available today. With a flat top, low profile, and a rim depth of 1.4 cm, this disc fits comfortably in the hand, it is easy to throw, and it will hold any line you put it on. Løft Hydrogen Review: The Straightest Putter in Disc Golf?
มุมมอง 14K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The Hydrogen is a brand new disc from Denmark's newest disc golf company - Løft Discs. Flight rating: 1|2|0|0 The Hydrogen is an extremely neutral flying putter. It is very slow, it has very little glide, and it is resistant to both mid-flight turn and late-flight fade. Løft claims that the Hydrogen is the straightest putter in disc golf, and in my opinion, they may be right! As a thrower, or a...

Dynamic Discs Witness Review | An understable fairway driver you need!
มุมมอง 3.5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The Witness is an excellent understable fairway driver from Dynamic Discs. Flight rating: 8|6|-3|1 While players of all skill levels will be able to execute a variety of shots with this disc (including a pure hyzer, as long as you give it enough hyzer on the release), its understability makes it a disc that excels especially on hyzer-flips and turnovers. For beginners, this might be your furthe...

Great video with good info. I bought a light one and the thing is as beefy as a Destroyer I usually bag heavier discs. I can’t get it to fly correctly. It’s very domey and dumps easy. It tends to hyzer out to the left way too early not getting much distance. My 7-10 speed disc out drives them any time with way more reliability and would only give it a 5/10 on my scale. Great videos keep it up.

I've been playing disc golf for about 20 years, give or take. I will say for about the first 15 years I played, I had absolutely zero ideas what i was doing. I had never watched any videos or tutorials as far as form or grip is concerned. I played with a group of coworkers initially, about 8 of us. Only 1 of us was realy any good(not me) so I'd try to emulate him as best as I could with no luck. He would throw it probably around 400 feet on his drives with what looked like minimal effort. It was so cool to watch but at the same time I'd get a little aggravated internally because he was a smaller guy, probably 5 and a half feet tall and maybe 140 pounds, and he would launch the piss out of his discs, and while I'm not a huge guy, I was a good bit larger than him and I could maybe top out around 275-280 feet on my drives. Of course I knew absolutely nothing about choosing the right discs, so I was buying Destroyers, Bosses, etc. basicaly anything with a speed 10 or above. And since my form is so busted, I cannot generate that loose, whipping motion in my throwing arm necessary for getting the proper speed on my discs. About 2 years ago I finally got to the point where I realized as, for as long as I've been playing, I really still haven't improved, sad to say. I still can rarely throw past 300' and my form I know is bad. I started watching a ton of videos, trying to pick up on whatever I could, hoping something would stick, and I'd have that "Aha!" moment where I would figure something out that would drastically improve my throws. While I'm still searching for that tip that will markedly improve my game, I have learned a ton about choosing the right discs for my abilities. I've ditched all my high speed stuff and don't really bag anything higher than a speed 8, well other than my Mamba, which is one of the very few distance drivers that actually seems to work well for me. My go to disc I use for driving now is a Teebird, has a fairly flat, predictable flight pattern. I've started to bag more midranges as well. Was using primarily a Buzz and Meteor but had someone tell me the other day I should look into a Mako 3. Watched a few videos and just watched yours. I'm now convinced I need this disc in my life. Just ordered a 180g Star Mako 3, can't wait to give it a shot. Seems to be ultra versatile, and the fact that its stable should be the perfect go to disc for me.

I am a HUGE fan and user of the Star Tern. It is my favorite disc in my bag by a mile. I can only go about 370. I saw your video on the Star Shryke. Is the Star Shryke just a further flying disc. I heard you mention the Shryke was going further like 400 and I saw your avg on the Tern being about 370 about my average. Do you recommend a Shryke?

This is an incredible disc! I bought it hoping it would make an easy turnover disc, and it did just that. Straight into the bag after one throw. Mine is a Star Mako3 with a paper thin flat top. Is the paper thin flight plate typical for this disc, or did I receive an oddball?

Love the Mako3! Great presentation in the video, dude. I carry 5 molds: Aviar, Roc3, Mako3, Teebird3, Shryke I choose ALL of my discs based on their performance in my one-disc rounds. Sadly that leads to a closet full of Destroyers, Blizzard Bosses, Firebird, Firestorms, and even a very overstable Thunderbird that I just can't quite ever choose over any of my Roc3s yet just for a lack of ability. I'd go as far as to say that I'm at that ability level where: if I need a Thunderbird/Firebird type of throw, the best thing I can do is let off of the Teebird3 and put it on a good hyzer for a 270 foot hook shot. Or give 100% to a Roc3. I say all that to say: those are some great drives your consistently making with the Mako3! It's nice to see their potential when thrown by someone that might be just a couple pegs within reach of my current ability. Of course, I'm just speculating. You might even be a pro. I hit 2 personal bests the other day. I threw my Aviar for 255 for the first time, and I got a Shryke to go 365, which is 45 feet further than my previous best. Of course... the tailwind was really great at that moment. I hope to get on your level one day. Currently I can't get my Makos to go much further than my Aviars. Maybe 270 on a good throw.

some of these videos crack me up. People claim to be throwing 350 feet when obviously it's more like 75 or 80 feet. 300 feet is a football field. I know there are some pros that can throw that far, ever farther, but there were no 300 ft throws in this video.

Mediocre discs. Way overrated. I started with an Aviar, and trying other discs made me realize just how bad it is. Of course, a pro can probably make a clay pigeon do what he wants it to do. But for the average folk, there are many better choices out there.
