Innova Aviar Comparison | Aviar Classic vs. Aviar Putt & Approach vs. Aviar3 vs. AviarX3

- Historically, the Innova Aviar is the most popular disc golf putter. But today, there are many different versions of the disc available - each of which behave differently when used for putts, approaches, and full power throws.
So as to help you get a better idea of what Aviar(s) might be best for you, in this video, I compare four different types of Aviar:
1. Aviar Classic: 2|3|0|0
2. Aviar Putt & Approach: 2|3|0|1
3. Aviar3: 3|2|0|2
4. AviarX3: 3|2|0|3

Agree with other comment. Best reviews so far. As a newer player I really appreciate how much detail you give in your releases, what it's doing in the air AND when and where you'd use said shots. Helps viewers learn the lingo AND techniques. Keep it up. Mid Range discs like a Buzzz, Fuse (or pretty much any "normal person" discs) welcome!

Nicely done. Well produced video and very informative. Exactly what I was looking for.
I’m probably one of the few people who prefers putting with the star aviar instead of one of the grippier plastics. I just feel like it throws more consistent from the 25-50 foot range vs my DX variants.
I use a Star Aviar P&A for short drives, the majority of my approach shots, and sometimes to putt. It’s a workhorse that many players could benefit from having. Base plastics are great, but there is something special about a star aviar.

I have both a KC pro Aviar and a Pig, where would you put these compared to the ones you tested ? I also have a Dx Dart but i find too understable to use, it just turns over to hard. Which one of the aviar you tested would complete my setup the best ?

Great review! Can you do a review of more shallow putters like the Luna and similar discs? I have an Aviar and don't love how different it feels compared to my other discs.
Absolutely! The Luna is on my list, as are a number of other shallow putters!
Could you do a backhand form video? Your form looks so smooth and effortless and you're really good at breaking down the minutia..
I don't mean to be rude, but this is very much not a form you want to be modeling yours off of. He's grabbing the disc at the back to try to create tension and just wipping his arm to throw it with little actually body behind the throw. That's going to make for super inconsistant shots.

Definitely going to try to review some more versions in the future! Thanks for the suggestion. As for the basket: I'm using an Innova Skillshot. I'd highly recommend it. Takes less than a minute to set up, and it is very light weight.

As an Aviar fan I really enjoyed the video. And I’d agree with your choice between the four, though the Yeti Aviar is my favorite of all. Thanks for the great content. I mean who doesn’t loving watching discs fly?!
Mediocre discs. Way overrated. I started with an Aviar, and trying other discs made me realize just how bad it is. Of course, a pro can probably make a clay pigeon do what he wants it to do. But for the average folk, there are many better choices out there.
Aviar R-Pro revolutionized my putting in less than a week. Picked up 3 and hit an Ace on a 180ft hole the first day with it. I'm probably making 20-30% more putts since I made the change. Not overrated at all
