Hi i have same 5th metatarsal fracture my dr.cast my foot my question cam walk with plaster will it delal the healing process or not. Currently m not feeling any pain
All depends on how the fracture looks on x ray and how stable it is. Your dr will probably give some advice about walking on the next follow up. 🙂

Hallo und SOS. Habe seit vier Monaten krass viele Lipome bekomme. Sie sind klein, aber liegen dicht an dicht fast mittlerweile an jedem Zentimeter meiner Oberschenkel, Beine, Bauch,arme und sogar Waden. Wie ein Netz. Die Beine vibrieren. Und Schmerzen auch. Was könnte das sein ?

I have comminuted intra articular fracture involving posterior anterior and medial cortex . There is no significant displacement of fracture fragment - I am on cast for 4 weeks. Do I need surgery . I am 32 yr old. Scared since it’s my dominant hand
Surgery depends on many factors, it can not be concluded over the internet. 😔

My proximal pole non union went untreated for 1.5 years so had a bone graft (distal radius vascularised bone graft) and screw fix. The fracture line was still visible at the 6 month post operation x-rays but I dont have pain so my doctor said that this is a good indicator of healing but he said it can take up to a year for it to fuse. Its almost been 7 months since surgery now and I still dont have pain but my wrist just doesnt bend back. Is it normal for it to take this long?
Yes, it is normal for the healing to take time.

Definitely not the only reason, when bone heals slower or not at all, it is a multifactorial problem. But the main problem in younger patients is fracture stability and in older fracture viability.

This is amazing. I fractured my scaphoid and just had a CT. This really helped me understand so I feel ready to talk to my doctor at the follow up. Plus I'm an architect so the drawings were very helpful.

@@atharvakorde5468 Actually, no! The CT came back clear for scaphoid fracture, so my doctor changed my diagnosis to a sprain. More than 2 months later, I'm still struggling a bit with pain, though.
I got a hair line waist fracture 2weeks ago and I am in a cast right now
I hope it heals on its own because I don’t want a surgical scar on my hand , I am 24

I’ve just been diagnosed with an Intra-articulate fracture that is now over a year old. Instead or believing me, multiple providers have tried to punt me to pain management for complex regional pain syndrome. I can’t wait to find out how much a year’s worth of not treating this fracture is going to make surgery even more complicated.
Will be a complicated process of healing.

What are the chances of a positive prognosis on a patient with a non-displaced intra-articular fracture of the fifth proximal phalanx (hand pinky finger)? I'm scared it won't heal fully, and your comment on "needing a skilled surgeon" worries me because how do I know if my surgeon is a noob or not.. :(

What about if there is a scaphoid fracture and a radial styloid fracture at the same time? That's what I have, its supposedly rare?
You've done the most easily understood video of this that I've seen.
It depends how dislocated it is. If there is more then a few milimeters of dislocation of the styloid it can be fixated with a mini invasive operation. Also for the scaphoid if there is singnificant dislocation in can be fixated. That kind of injury requires a hand surgeon to give you all the answers regarding what an operation gives you and what conservative threatment can give. To cut the story short if there is dislocation more than 2 mm operation should be considerd.
@@picturemedicine Thanks so much for the reply, yes I'm thinking they will probably do surgery, Im wating to hear from them. I read online that fracturing both at the same time is very rare. Not sure why given those bones are fairly close to each other.
Mostly one fractures, yes, but if the force is to great, of course, many bones can fracture at the same time. The machanism of trauma is very important. It happens more often than you think.
@@picturemedicine Yes, I read that it normally happens with a fall from a ladder or roof, or car accident. I fell while running.

Amoxicillin is very good for bacterial sinus infections and well tolerated by most people. I have a deviated septum which has caused me to have problems over my lifetime with allergies. I am 56 and have had and ENT look at images a few yrs ago but did not think the septum was deviated enough to have surgery. My problem now is that I used Afrin too long as steroids sprays did not work very well. The rebound was very bad and I was able to get away from the Afrin but unfortunately I am dependent on Phenylephrine spray. My primary dr. prescribed Prednisone but I am unable to tolerate it do it causing a high heart rate. I was trying to get in to another ENT but he lives in another state. Is there any advice you could give me to help with getting away from having to take the Phenylephrine spray.? Every few hours I have to take it due to bad rebound and after I have slept I wake up breathing thru my mouth and it causes me to have to hack up and throw up phlegm stuck in my throat. I have been taking Guaifenesin but if I could get away from the spray I know it will help all of this but I understand getting away from decongestant sprays can be very difficult. I really need some help.
I do not have real experience in that field. But you definitely should consult an MF surgeon.
