Hello would you be able to let me know if i want to swap a used camshaft in m278 engine which is similar to this design, would i have to replace the roller rockers and lifter? Does it matter in this design? My camshaft reluctor wheel is no longer in sync with the camshaft markings and i got a used camshaft in good condition with low miles. I am just unsure if i can just replace it in my engine without changing the rollers. Does wear matter in this design. Much appreciated

sadly you did NOT show how to remove the steeing fluid pipe(and the fluid itself), which prevents the cover from coming of the motorblock. Beside that it's a good video, thanks

Never ever felt so swindled buying a mercedes. Thought I was doing an upgrade, buying a premium product. Even gave them the benefit of a doubt a second time. Biggest mistakes I've ever done regarding vehicles. Utter pieces of . Issues and problems left and right. Cheesy plastics EVERYWHERE. Dealer network is a joke akin to Apple. The fanboyism is rampant and unbearable. Never ever again in my life.

Hello! I believe this may be the issue with my daughter car. She has a 2014 Mercedes c300 and the numbers have worn off of the timing so we can set it. I am in desperate need of trying to get the numbers for they can be set and align correctly. Any feedback will be great. Thank you!

Mercedes gave me 15 years/150K miles warranty and fixed it for free. Please check with your Mercedes dealer. It has a known issue they will replace the head ( with better head and valves)

Isn't this an interference engine? The piston won't touch one of the valve?

What can cause these valves to leak or not being able to seat correctly. I ask because I have M278 engine with 70k miles I keep hearing people say this exact issue can happen.

Great job. Imagine you have to do this in your garage with a few jack-stands. I had a guy replace the rear main seal on my 1989 Jaguar XJ6 in my garage years ago. It was quite challenge, but he pulled it off.

Have to change the M55 - intake shutter motor - from now on I totally hate this NAZZI cars. Use to repair a lot of them, every time I discover - THEY MADE EVERYTHING to repair HARDER as it is possible - THEY MADE THAT FOR PURPOSE - to have MORE and more money from the owners. So after 150 000 km those and all of the models are FINISHED, DEAD, course the plastic they use, the gaskets they use are just made to last max. 10 YEARS, maximum. I quit repairing those cars. This will be the last one. Merc, BMW, VW - absolutely 👎.

Hello, I had the same problem on my CLA 250 2020. But mercedes didn't replace the cylinder head, they repaired the valve that had the problem. Is this the right solution or will I have this problem again in the future? Thank you
