The mystery guys from the matchbox clone pile, like the guy with the tube across his back and the guy waving. They appear to be modeled after WW2 Germans, based on the equipment on them and the uniforms. Never saw them before though, neat find 🤷🏻

When I first seen those clones, I was working at target back in 2002. That’s when target started doing the dollar section when it was actually a dollar and they had bags of that type of army men, and they also had the bags of tan and green jets

Nice figures! Do they do PAVN or VC as well? I know TSSD does PAVN, but they are even more expensive than these. In my mind these sets are meant for playing, so it's always puzzling when companies do one side and fail to provide their enemies. Armies in Plastic with their modern US forces did it in a half-hearted way, with a barely functional (and in my opinion, ugly) Talibans set with a few awkwards poses, where they clearly didn't spend as much time modelling as they did with the US soldiers... They should have done Iraqi, maybe even generic "Middle Eastern" militia for the rangers to fight against. All in my opinion, of course :)

These look seriously great, but for wargaming I find the lack of good enemies. The Taliban set looks awful. What AiP should do is make a set of Iraqi militia or even better -- modern Russians.

I'm tired of all this adult responsibility bullshit, I need that nostalgia to take me back to a time when I didn't have a mortgage, or bills, or a wife and son depending on me. At least now my son and i can play bolt action so I'm not entirely without but there's a charm about army men I certainly miss.
