Those plastic knights are nostalgic for me, had heaps of them and the China knockoffs of the Starlux poses. Recently picked up a nice batch of them, I remember many big carpet battles with them! ( and sieges of castles made from cinder blocks lol )
Im from Portugal, when i was a child (the 80´s) i bought bags of army man i think with a smalller scale that the 1/72 (i know they were smal with about 2cm). USA (green), Germany (grey), japan (light green), Russia (brown), etc I had a lot of them... As growing up i lost all of them. Now i cant find any of them on sale (with the 2cm scale) do they still exist?
I wonder, what type of plastic is used to manufacture your "Army Men"? They look like some kind of hard plastic, as opposed to HDPE. How impactful is Plastic Rot, or Brittle Plastic Syndrome, on these figures? I did notice your broken soldier. Was this down to Rot, or was this because of an enthusiastic child's battle with hard plastic toys? I have unopened boxes of Airfix Figures from the 1950s. The boxes are Mint, but some of the contents have crumbled to mere bits and bobs. When I acquired them at auction, donkey's sin, the figures were perfect. Unfortunately, over the decades, they simply succumbed to the phenomenon of Plastic Rot. No-one knows how this weird event is activated. There is no cure. Some blame sunlight as the trigger, but I store my more precious items in a dark, cool environment. This makes using these toys as an investment unviable. Instead, I collect them for my own personal enjoyment, until the day when they inevitable turn to dust. As will I. I have had success with PVA Glue and Cyanoacrylate Adhesive, in restoring many of these figures. Especially the tan, original Airfix Waggon Train Sets. (Yes, Waggons. Airfix started off with the English (GB) spelling, before they realised this was a part of The American Wild West range). Best Wishes with your channel. Congrats at the wonderful achievement of 5.5K. The Best of British to you. Cheers.
Congrats on hitting 5,500🎉!
Awesome job
Nice
I went to a thrift store yesterday I got lucky and found a bag of army men and I was able to get them no problem !
So cool
My nephew likes leggo, he now plays with the leggo I played with as a kid.
Glad to hear your channel is doing so well!
"Gotta be careful because they're 30 years old" made me feel so decrepit

Where can I still find the imperial army man
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
You got a good deal on those Pirates of the Caribbean figures. Those were produced by Hawthorne and are pricey.
I had a great time! lol ^_^
Best vid of 2024
Why is the video without subtitles? I speak Portuguese and TH-cam automatically translates videos using subtitles
I’ll look into the settings here shortly to see if it’s on my end.
