I'm currently under a thirteen day ban for using mods (I've never used them I emailed them and they did respond saying that they have DEFINITELY found the activity in my account and so I'm still banned I'm not going to be able to get anything from shattering and I'm very upset about this I'm right now at 11 days left

I have seen numerous Troupe members state issues that they've had with the game but they make sure they phrase themselves in a calm professional way as they are affiliated with the company. And outside of that many cc and regular players state their complaints about the game. I stream it fairly frequently and there's always at least one discussion on bugs breaking everything, the state of the in game economy and the growing f2p vs p2p gap. Most folks are willing to look at the game they love and give it constructive criticism. However there's definitely a massive toxic positivity "this game is so wholesome so the company behind it could never do any wrong" problem with the community that does need to be addressed. The state of the discord after the most recent game breaking bugs was frankly abysmal and I really do thing TGC need to take a step back and frankly I don't think I'm the only one who'd like to see a break in schedule to allow the team to stabilise the game properly, especially if they're gonna be increasing prices of IAPs the way they have been

This reminded me, I haven’t played sky in a bit so my memory may be a bit foggy but around when the deer mask was available I was OBSESSED- I did end up getting but the crazy thing is that a damn MASK in a game cost me 40 USD. It WAS a special item for the event but holy.. $40 for a mask???

The only things I wanted from Season of Moomins will be all IAP 🥲 I think I'll quit once the shattering group is over... can't get excited for anything anymore

I haven an opinion on why the masculine cosmetics are kept behind the paywall more often than feminine cosmetics. As someone who's been a Sky player since 2020, in the year of which I have been a consistent Seasonal Pass buyer and a hardcore candle grinder, I've noticed a large "ikemen" culture in the community. Ikemen is a Japanese slang for cool and handsome looking men, and this applies to sky kids who embody those looks. Incidentally, ikemen cosmetics mostly consist of premium seasonal items, like the hair of the Rhythm Guide (bunny hair) and the mask of the Prophecy guide (anubis mask), and other IAPs like the most recent Colors tunic and cape. Oftentimes, ikemen use these accessories to appear masculine, pretty (and also expensive lol). There's also the ikejou, which is used to refer to cool feminine sky kids, but I believe that ikemen is the more popular of the two. The reason for that is probably because cosmetics were limited to pants before skirts were introduced two years ago, so while Sky didn't deliberately assign gender to their cosmetics, the community did and formed the image of ikemen. **TLDR: masculine cosmetics are much more in-demand because of Ikemen culture in the sky community, which is why keeping it behind a paywall is lucrative to the company.** This is coming from a previous ikemen who has the Anubis mask and the Prophecy pants on the season's run and has been invited to become someone's husband or boyfriend or father all on account of the cosmetics I wore. I'd like to think that it's because of my sparkling wit and conversation, but I can't help but have my doubts 😂

I really dont understand how people even still play this game, you just repeat the same levels over and over, and for what? To get a few more cape charges each cycle? People only stay for the friends they make. Not the gameplay.

on that note though, thank you for being one of the only few Sky content creators who actually speak out. I am SO sick and tired of everyone else endlessly dicksucking and defending TGC so your videos are both a breath of fresh air and a sanity check.

Not just the creators but the community in general, as far as I’m aware TGC has got to be one of the most PROTECTED game companies out there🤦‍♀️ everytime people try to speak up about how they feel even though it’s in a respectful, constructive way they’re immediately shot down by the saints in the community

Not only are the cosmetics getting more expensive AND there’s more of a gap between IAPs and F2P cosmetics in terms of quality- but the SEASONS ARE AWFUL. Remember when we got Dreams, Prophency AND Sanctuary all in less than one year? Now we have quests that add nothing to the seasonal area, repetitive quests (in duets we literally visit the same spirit twice), ALL -IAP based seasons like Nesting, no new areas with anything to explore. Nine-tailed deer was empty compared with Little Prince and Aurora. Revival was an interesting premise but ended up being a reboot for the unfinished aspects of the game, which bored older players. I’ve been playing since 2020 and it’s frustrating how awful new seasons have become, which is the only thing keeping players coming back. Give us exploration, give us new stories. Abyss, Moments, Flight, Assembly all had excellent new areas with great quests and interesting stories for the spirits. Remembrance brought me to tears with its heartbreaking stories about loss and solidarity in grief. We need these types of stories in the game again.

Ahh so I'm a bit late here, but oh my god yes. Because of the server issues I've lost like 3 days of Cr, wich for me is like 30 or 35 candles. I've also lost my progress in seasons and I wasn't able 2 collect candles from anywhere else than the days of light area, so I was stuck there. And I also wasn't able 2 see or talk with my friends. I can't believe we got a "compensation" with a (in my opinion) a useless traveling spirit! :(

One of my favorite Sky content creators is Smolef. He to my knowledge is still making a fan animated series and it what i think Sky could have been. The more views he gets the more motivated he will be to make more. He is more active on Billibili.

I’m very sorry, but I’m starting to feel incredibly tired of your criticism videos. Yes, it does seem apparent that content creators don’t talk a lot about the bugs in the game. But you also have to realize, they likely consider this a job since they’ve essentially partnered with TGC. Basically TGC sponsors them. Of course they’re not gonna rant about every inconvenience they encounter that eventually gets resolved one way or another. They also likely realize: Sky is just a game! It’s a game with optional stuff you can unlock or purchase items, which anyone can realistically live without if they can’t get it. I missed out on the AURORA ults, but I’m not letting that ruin my enjoyment. That’s all because SKY IS JUST A GAME. If you’re not able to just move on from bugs or difficultly making in game currency (when there’s OPTIONS to make candle farming easier), maybe this game just isn’t for you?🤷🏻 You don’t need to acquire every item in the game to enjoy sky. You don’t need a flawless experience to indulge in it. It’s a chill game when you just stop and breathe for a moment, and just not take it so seriously.

i was using a program on sky (got banned for 13 days and if i use it again ill loose my account) because it got so boring, farming everyday im the same places, doing the same tasks, wainting for a new ts that will get all my candles, waiting for a season/event that will have some boring activities to get currency that will be spent in ok cosmetics while people who pay (idk about the usa but in Brazil its reeeeeeaaaaaly expansive) will get the most stylish and cool cosmetics (you get a whole world for yourself with that little prince cape) come on tgc, make things cheaper, give us some interesting gimmicks like the challenges from season of prophecy

The fact i have over $100 saved up for the next season is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to spend a lot of money on cosmetics unless i want it. I have another event im saving up for in a few months. I am tired of spending a lot of money for some cosmetics and a necklace. IAPs, in my opinion should be at the minimum 5 dollars for a cape, and bundles of cosmetics can be 10 dollars or more. The small head accs can stay their current price.

Ironically I just saw Mold mentioning a few hours ago that they're unenthused with the amount of Moomin IAPs and the event currency system for Mischief. Politely, I would recommend reading up on how NDAs work. It is not to enforce repercussions for criticism.

I think the creator at 5:05 was just finding it to be a gane not for them based on first impressions up to forest rather than a full review of the game. They're more interested in high intensity action games rather than slow paces exploration games and does not believe art based games have a place period. It did bring out one issue which is that it has trouble making a strong first impression that resonates with players. It answers the questions of who are you, where the story takes place, and what you need to do, but has trouble answering "why should I do this and care about doing it."

I'm not surprised creator troupe members are more quiet on certain issues. 1. NDA: as a sky creator troupe member you may be given confidential information that shouldn't be said to the public either at all or before it's officially known by the public. This gives creators time to make their videos and then release it once the actual update occurs. However it can also limit what they can say about the company, however it by itself cannot limit your expression of the opinions you have about certain things, if anything it limits when you can say them, as an NDA mainly says "if you reveal information that is confidential before a certain amount of time after your job ends, you may lose your job and potentially blacklisted from the company. 2. Alliliate=representation representation=can't mess up their image ANALOGY TIIMMMEEEE: SCHOOL EDITION Students represent their schools univerrsities, colleges, (and cegeps if you're in quebec yes I see you lol), as a representative you have a responsibility to present the school as a valuable place that is generally good. This means you present the school as also a place where discipline, integrity and hard work are involved. Same logic with many jobs, other places, and certain important groups of people. This also means you gotta follow several policies alongside not condoning breaking these policies unless it's for a very good reason or absolutely nessecary, and when your institution does f-up, to figure out how to express these concerns grace, elegance, and assertiveness with certainty that something will be worked out hopefully. creator troupe members unofficially officially (As in they aren't TGC staff but are affiliates) represent TGC. As an official unofficial TGC representative, you have the responsibility to represent TGC (aka your volunteer/work place) in a generally valuable and good light. In this case it means you represent TGC and Sky as a place where things such as community, connection, humanity, integrity, and respect are valued. This also means following the ToS, and condemning breaking the ToS. When TGC does f-up you much like the student need to go about it with grace elegance, and assertiveness and be certain that something good will come out of this. To all the sky creators who wish to join creator troupe, please read your actual terms, read the NDA, etc, before signing. If needed, read with a family member or someome you know who understands law in the united states and whatever country you are operating from. If there if something you are unsure about point it out to TGC and ask why this policy is in there and ehat exactly this means or at least state your understanding and why you have issue with this. But like with any scenario where an unjust policy or application of policy is present, attack the policy instead of the people as a bad policiy≠a bad person. 3. Specific niche in the community: some content creators just focus on certain parts of the community. E.g. some are just focused on out of bounds (or OOB) content, some focus on the music part of Sky (e.g. making music sheets and tutorials for how to play songs), some focus on another thing entirely. If a content creator focuses on those niches you're less likely to see complaints as they likely don't fall in their niche.

I believe that CC's that are way more recognized can't afford to speak up too much, because it's a risk of losing that connection with TGC. Companies *love* people that promote their game without badmouthing it. It's just fake positivity, or an NDA. Who knows, maybe people just enjoy this game so much they ignore all of the issues present in the game.. sounds just like genshin. I honestly want to criticize this game for the abandoned lore. This game could have been a DIAMOND if they continued to progress the lore that it had. After eden, practically nothing happens. Season of shattering barely had anything to add. I have never been indulged in any seasons since performance, and since performance is my first season maybe I have some nostalgia bias. But I really do think it was good. In the recent seasons, I could not get interested in any of them. Everything feels so slow and repetitive, they're barely adding any new dark or light creatures. Seasons always felt like a chore to me, but that's just my opinion. All you want a season for is the cosmetics, nothing else.

Another content creator by the Name of YOUVIEW did a review on Sky and stopped playing because players were too toxic to newcomers, everything is expensive so most players with expensive cosmetics will make fun of others for being poor. And everything is just the same which gets boring over time and competitive. My other reason is the controls suck, you can't do anything during cutscenes, players are toxic for no reason, and it is a burnout since some players grind to do candle runs, doing and collecting stuff for events, and once the event is over TCG quickly make new events not even letting some players rest or take a break. But yeah, hope this helps. Sorry for the long comment or grammar, lol.

That's not a thing, Nastymold for example, weeks before she announced to be part of the creator troupe, did a big rant about last year's mischief event, and the creator troupe announcement said it has been a thing for a long time, but they were only able to reveal it at that time.

Perhaps some people want to stay on good terms with tgc, understandably, nastymold did rant once (yay ty nasty) but that was a while ago, b4 the troupe was a true thing. Some smaller creators aka my friends do um rant at tgc sometimes, just saying respectfully :)))

Last time I hear about complaints about stuff in Sky was a channel “Sky Baby Children” but I’d take whatever they say with a grain of salt because the channel became a drama magnet/content milker, which soured my opinion about Sky and burned me out with the channel for a while. It shouldn’t have to be the big creators to do the call-out work for you. If it matters this much to you, speak up. The fandom got stronger because people spoke up. Even big creators screw up now and then.

I’m gonna stay here now. I was one of the players that were on mobile before it became a switch game when I was still in high school. I really really really wanted to get every season but after the fifth season, it just isn’t worth paying money for. As much as I hate to miss out on a lot of things I just can’t continuously pay for these passes and stuff, even as person who loves to collect things.

i get the capes that add donations to charity being £10-20, but when its EVERY single cape and EVERY single decent looking item for that much its ridiculous. i am MORE than willing to grind candles for the f2p items, but when all the f2p items SUCK its so demotivating. those days of sunlight earrings?? 100% shouldve been f2p??? £2.99 for a pair of tiny simple shaped earrings is INSANE. plus tgcs timing of events atm is incredibly stressful, sunlight, moonlight, shattering spirits ALONGSIDE travelling spirits, AND then the new collab season coming out just after, with days of mischief right around the corner too?? its insane

Absolutely agree. I've been playing this game for more than 4 years now (Season of Enchantment, so Android moth - ooof I'm old 😂) and it's a shame what Sky has become. Back then, I think the prices for free items were definitely not that extremely high as in hundreds of candles for just one item that's relatively okay but nothing special. The range concerning prices wasn't as big, as in 30 hearts for a cape and then 140 for the same cape in a different color. (Now I personally can't afford a cape that's 30 hearts or items that are even more bc I don't have many friends to heart trade with since many of them are inactive. Mind you, you can only heart trade ONCE a day. Hell, I'm still trying to complete the constellations after more than 4 fucking years. (Ok that's a me-problem but still.) And whereas 140 candles is def more doable for me personally, it's still insane.) Also, TS's were definitely not as expensive. IAPs were still there, but like ... they didn't cost multiple 10s of euros/dollars (except candles and Adventure Passes, I think). I remember buying the beginner's pack back then and even though I don't remember its exact price, I also don't recall it being pricy - same with the green plant cape. Back then I thought "TGC is great and I want to support what they're doing". That thought stayed the same even when the prices became ridiculously high. I spent literally thousands of bucks on IAPs. But now I'm really questioning whether I want to support this company anymore. I mean, yeah, great, they've created a beautiful game that is without ads and ftp for everyone and of course they have to make money somehow - but the pricing has become insane. I think I would have quit the game by now if I wouldn't have literally invested in it. Also: skip cutscenes and unfriend a friend are functions that I've been waiting for for a loooong time 🕰

Thing about the male and female clothes is, we have had almost no feminine clothes for the many maaaaany years prior. All I wanted was always a dress that isn't the default dress. There are a BUNCH of Pants that look masculine or unisex. I am absolutely thrilled that we are FINALLY getting dresses because for 3 years i have only had the default dress and it sucked. Last year's Halloween dress was also cute, but it was too gothy for me. But. BUT. I hate that they are behind Paywalls. This season's white dress? Money, The dress from the tournaments? Money. THE OTHER MISCHIEF DRESS? MONEEEYH. I am glad the gray dress was free but let's be honest, it looks similar to the Fire Trial guy pants. I am so happy we are getting more dresses now, so I *really really* disagree on that. We have an overload of male clothes, you just have to catch the right time. But in everything else I totally agree. Their Prices are shameless. Absolutely rediculous if you ask me. Items being up to 30€? That is insane. 20€ Would be the ULTIMATE ALLTIME HIGH LIMIT I would still be able to understand if the item had a special use. For instance the 9Color deer cape. I was thrilled, excited!! 35€... I bougth if reluctantly, turns out it is actually useless in function. You get TPd to an area everyone can access, but you see the deer. That's it? No interaction? No event kr anything? This was the biggest waist of my money EVER.

I quit playing Sky:CotL after a few years when they started getting too much in-game purchases in it. My acc is now sitting at about 6k candles and 800 hearts. I have no way of spending them though, since they implemented that ticket system

for events they release less and less ftp items wich sucks we used to get way more and for less candles as well also the quality of the free items is so bad like with the cinnamoroll collab the only two ftp items altough cute had not that much to do with cinnamoroll and it made me so sad that this company doesnt care about their players who cant afford to spend 10$ on a tiny cosmetic in a game where everything you do is basically endless boring grinding although i had fun when i started playing and bought a few seasons passes that i really liked i wish i never even supported this company bcs it just makes them more greedy
