i want to respond to you directly about something in particular, i don't disagree with you or anything but i want you to see an issue. say sky priced items per region there would be an issue with this, and its not TGC not making cash; its the issue of cheaters. right now TH-cam is facing this issue as buying TH-cam premium subs or gifting subs in a particular region costs nothing to them (turkey in specific) and they have been scamming large TH-camrs out of thousands of dollars or pounds! for more clarification since I'm a bad explainer, say they lowered the prices per region. there would be players that would cheat, use a VPN to spoof their location and buy everything for literal pennies in their currency. i don't like how some people cant afford things and it does make me sad, but its also a war against the people who would abuse that system if it was changed. TGC has to decide what to do and they chose the safer option of keeping everything equal so they wont go bankrupt from the people who would do bad things. i do wish there was a way to lower prices to be manageable per region but I'm not sure if that will ever happen due to how the internet is. honestly this is why we cant have nice things! now about the pants, yes as a female i also see there's a drout of male clothing but i think sky is trying to create more items that are unisex and _looks back to your diagram_ 14 of those clothes i see as unisex, even i now wear the one in the middle from the new season because i LOVE long clothing. i am sorry that TGC isn't fixing this issue, but i do hope this is eventually addressed. if you want leave a message in the discord where you can leave feedback to the devs! i encourage anyone who wants to get their opinion heard, to do that because TGC does read them, and takes it into consideration.

TGC have enough money to function without making everything expensive. And yes it's perfectly fine to play F2P but it's still unfair when F2P players miss out on a lot. It's hard to even make friends in sky when you are judged based on your appearance (it's unfortunate and kinda messed up). Totally agree with you
I mean, as a company, they don't make most of their money through people that spend money on their game. Player retention earns more money, since that's all investors care about, and they'll pay 1000's if not 10,000's more than your average player will in their entire lifecycle of the game. So yeah, the 'expensive' IAP's are just pretty much pure greed.
Also something else crazy about the Days of Summer prices is that last year the capes were all EC. The cheapest being 10 and most expensive being 25- (or around that) I don’t understand how they go from that to 100+ candles for the same exact capes- not to mention the 30 hearts 😭

that is a strategy to make us feel unsure about future items, and urge players to get into a buying frenzy as soon as new items appear. TGC just want us to keep grinding and spending without giving us a break. Same with how many new special days have been appearing along all year, when in the past, we had a lot more time to farm and prep for future coming items. They are inserting the fear of missing out into players.
honestly in this case, i believe it is bc those would just be the prices assigned if they didn't start the event ticket system. Their way of assigning those was "if you cr for more than half the time you should be able to get all the new items," but people were understandably upset bc as the years went on, it meant 3 100 candle capes and usually like 20 hearts for a headband. So they set up the ticket system. I think this way is honestly better for catching up bc rather than having a limited number of regular candles where you need to choose between 10 items, you only have to choose between like 7, while the other 3 you get with no effort. Making everything be only tickets puts you right back in the same dilemma of you only get so many tickets, now you have to pick and choose items. Imma bet if you use the candle to ticket conversion from the spells (6 candles = 1 ticket), the prices would be about the same. The heart thing on the other hand, i guess if you then go 3 candles = 1 heart, but i dont like that cause everyone is struggling with hearts anyways like whyyyy
I'm female who like dressing as both 'feminine' and 'masculine' at times. I personally don't really have problems with pants, I think most of them look unisex enough. What I think sky is lacking of are good masculine hair. I'm sorry but most of them look too goofy.. And you're absolutely right about iaps. I really hate when they sell some small cosmetics separately.
Same! I switch between the two. But I guess I've only started in like around mischief last year. Haven't really gotten any good male pants, most are just IAP so I couldn't even get them, thus the ranting on my few comments here 😂 also agree on the hair, lacks male hair, I've been trying to complete the valley constellation since at least there's one there.
The prices for anything that is not season passes is *literally* 10 times what It should be. This is funny. I would totally spend 10 dollars to get the whole summer pack but instead it costs 100 so now TGC from me is getting 0 (zero) dollars

Well tbh, there's like 8 outfits with skirts and 7 pants that lean more towards looking feminine, and the majority of the outfits are unisex, which are both neither loved by males nor females and are just "okay". I agree with adding more outfits that lean more on either feminine or masculine rather than unisex clothes that tgc was lazy to design for. Not only are the prices ridiculously high, but the overall quality of these past events is just "okay" or barely worth even buying.

The price varies depending on your region, So it's not really that expensive for everyone, here where I live it's MUCH more worth it than buying any IAP that cost more than two season passes.

Over the course of 20 days I got 144 season candles and got all the items for two out of the four season spirits, (and this was from casual playing vs my usual grinding, so the season pass is definitely worth it!) although I think they might mean it's too expensive for them financially, maybe? Because there have been times when I wanted to buy a season pass but I couldn't afford it 😭
Im sorry but no. Looking at all the pants on the wiki I found only 14 feminine pants. The unisex and masculine pants outweighs feminine outfits by far and we've been asking for more feminine clothes for years. You simply have male bias and that's fine but let's not act like masculine clothing is a minority.
but the masculine pants are pretty feminine. I have a bunch of the ones that he listed as masculine in the video and still, paired with the mostly feminine hair and accessories, I end up looking pretty feminine most of the time.

Exactly, I'm someone who dresses my character very girly, and I noticed that we barely have pants that look strictly feminine. We're just now recently getting dresses added to the game, and most of them are IAPs. 💀
Tgc is kinda ruining my game experience currently, because I’ve been playing for about one and a half years, and I’ve kinda experienced it getting worse over time. All the good seasons were the ones I missed, and now the seasons don’t really bring good stuff anymore, and it’s extra useless to spend an unreasonable amount of money on a season pass just to get what? A blue and pink striped carpet you’re never gonna use? Or some posters, which are pretty but also pretty useless. I could also start ranting forever here, but i feel like that’s not the best idea •~•💧 I definitely feel like there should be a few more male clothes, because i prefer to wear more masculine clothes ingame, and there’s like 4 pants i actually wear and keep switching between- But whenever tgc actually brings out good cosmetics, THEY’RE ALWAYS PAID. For example the upcoming days of style: there’s these really sick looking pants, kinda looking like a suit with pants, really awesome BUT GUESS WHAT, IT’S SN OVERPRICED IAP i can’t deal with this anymore. And then also the server issues, all the bugs that have been there for months and never got fixed, i just don’t really see the game getting better, more like the opposite even though tgc claims they’re working on it. Mood. I miss when we got a runway show of on-theme clothes or cool props. I like the props that has a use like the ones you light on fire or have effect(Rememberance ult, the tent, the umbrella, tiki torch, cool instruments, etc.) but the posters and carpets? Ehhh, no thanks.

im gonna be only putting my opinion on the clothing thing rather than the prices: The outfits you showed, that YOU personally deem masculine, do not reflect the entire of the community. Like, for example the two regular spirit pants you showed; Why are they specificly "male"? The only overtly "feminine" might be the Hide'n'Seek Pioneer. But all the others are pretty unisex. None of these clothing should even be gendered, because that doesnt matter. Yes, you can have preferences, but saying TGC is not making enough "Male" clothing is simply not true. The only reason you think this, is because you see those clothing as "Male". The only pants i would consider as "Dresses" or "Skirts" are 10. And some might even be questionable, since you showed it in the graph of the pants you think are "Male" (ancient light outfit). This is a pretty nuanced topic, but heres something to think about: Its just a game, like you said. It doesnt matter if there are more "Female" clothing, because thats just you think of it, which TGC probably doesnt. This isn’t entirely related to cosmetics but mostly candle running and other things. A few years ago there were a few glitches that could be used with friends eg “bicycle” or “rocket” glitch. These were SUPER useful because they sped up candle running or doing trials by giving us shortcuts. A great example of this is any of Astria Espers CR vids. TGC removed them and ever since they did it’s just been so tedious cring now. Keep in mind these glitches weren’t entirely game breaking and were mostly safe. Another glitch that was patched ages ago was the “Home glitch”. I fucking miss that shit it was so useful. (Basically, you press the home button but don’t confirm to leave the map, it gives immunity to krill attacks as long as you don’t press confirm or decline until after you get hit.) Every sky kid and their mum knew this glitch and now it’s gone. Barely anyone likes to cr at wastelands because of this and not everyone is willing to learn how to krill dodge if they still really want to cr there. It might sound like a huge skill issue and would be better to stay out of krill’s paths but how can you if one day one of the travel spirits is the pleaful parent?? Its pathing is mostly always going to lead you into a krill. That’s just 2 out of many of the things that keeps me from wanting to play daily. I only play every few months and even when I do I just sulk at the new updates. ESPECIALLY THIS ONE.
Yeah, small correction: rocket still exists and if you mean the endless light glitch by "bicycle", that one is also still there. TGC actually puts them back in whenever they are accidentally patched out, same with chibi fall.

Ummm, only 21? Well then again as you said people have different prefrences but I think you just didn't count some of them because of your own prefrences. For example, some in season of 9 colored deer, season of passage, season of assembly, boogie pant, Yeti pant and almost all the Rythm pants beside one you counted are masculine. And to be honest we haven't had many dresses. Most of the other pants were gender neutral like season of perfornance. However, again you could have a different style in mind for the masculine outfits that is different from these. But, of course, I'm also aware of the fact that TGC usually ignores what the players need and just is that greedy company XD

I don’t think it’s supposed to be called “male” clothes…it’s too stereotypical, since there’s not a gender in sky actually, sky kid have no gender unless they tell you about it, so the wordings of “male” or “masculine” doesn’t really apply to the case here. Also, please don’t ignore to the fact that not all male players in sky are always wearing “masculine” outfits just because of their gender, it’s an option for yourself to change and style the sets of clothes in your wardrobe, not just dressed according to the gender. Also, the thing I really dislike about your video is that how you stated “gender neutral clothes all goes into a feminine direction”. Sky is a gender neutral game as it provides people with the opportunity of they can dress freely in game. But I really don’t understand what is feminine in your opinion…dresses? Long sleeves? You already stated that it’s gender neutral, then it is gender neutral. To have a wide variety of these cosmetics for your character? You can't deny that cosmetics play a very big factor in playing the game, thats the whole point of candle runs and daily quests! So how does it make sense that a big part of the game is slowly becoming unavailable to the majority who don't want to pay crazy prices for an item CODED into a VIDEOGAME 😭 also if everything just starts costing real money, then in game currency will just be obsolete or too hard to get enough of in time for what you want before it disappears and you have to wait years for it to return (anyway now this got me ranting lol)
According to the designers, the point of the game is socializing and meditation, for which the cosmetics aren't necessary. However, by focusing so much on the cosmetics in their promotion material, they kind of lead people to think the cosmetics are important. Doesn't help that the entire progression system is based on them. And now people are bombarded with cosmetics for prices so high they encourage grinding, which is going to take up time that could have been spent on socializing and meditative stuff, and typically leads to burnout so.......

The main point of the game is socialization, but I’d say exploration and cosmetics are very close when it comes to what’s second, that’s why it just sucks that things become so expensive in a video game where a big part of it is making your character unique to you! There are no "male" or "female" clothes. They are masculine and feminine or both. How you want to present yourself all depends what you pair it with... I feel like hairstyles have the biggest impact on what gender you look 🤔
This. I don't disagree with him, but male n female clothes aren't a thing. A lot of the spirits are androgynous anyway (depending on the country). But it really just comes down to how you style the clothes you have ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
7:00 I think it was 2 years ago that everyone was purchasing this yellow umbrella and funny thing is that half way through the event a traveling spirit came and it was the umbrella spirit and people were getting so mad they spent $20 on a damn umbrella! 😭

But witch pants with the jumpers seems male to me. That's surprisingly my favorite pair of pants that always go back to since I started the game back in October ❤
@@amaimonpheles8depends on your preference but on my opinion, boogie kid is gender neutral, too puffy to be masculine though can be designed to be for females, the yeti one leans more to feminine, I've tried dressing it as a male and it looks girly 😅 The black rainbow pants is actually on the list and the frightful one looks puffy too but unlike the first one is actually so hard to style with either male or female cosmetics. Just my opinion but I half guess that's why.
@KasumiLin I don't know, the only time yetti pants seemed feminine is with the sassy drifter pose. But usually I have the whole set for yetti. The hair, the Horns, the cape, the days of love hat or the bird and it always seemed masculine. As for rainbow cloths. It depends on the cape and hair. The pants, shoes and cape are neutral. It's the hair and ribbon accessory that makes it feminine
I'd understand IAP's being a bit expensive if they were a collaboration or a charity item as a part of the money goes towards the collaboration or charity. But otherwise this is just a bit much. We got mad when TGC was about to put a snowboard for days of feast as an IAP and this time they actually listenedm yeah itll cost a lot of candles but at least it's f2p accessible. Same with the floatie too. If there was a barganing system we'd all learn from barganing masters and use our learned skills to the fullest.
I completely agree that this game is way too overpriced It’s so overwhelming to start as a new moth in this game. I can’t even imagine the first event that I had in this game was about five years ago and by now, if you were to buy every single item on the shop from that event, it would be like almost $250 on top of the fact that they had 2 to 3 items every single time two of them costing 15 and one of them being cheap like that is absolutely insane
Ranting videos r the best 👌 And yeah, there's not enough male clothes, it's getting frustrating. Things in-game are just getting more and more expensive as time goes by, not only in IAP. Free capes from events are so goddamn high (like the 2 capes from days of rainbows, or the capes now from days of sunlight). TS are the same too (but ig that's because now the spirits have more stuff than in the earlier seasons). Combining that with the fear of probably not seeing stuff again until a year passes (2, if we take that days of music didn't happen this year), and candles being difficult to get, you just get pushed to buy stuff. I mean, if they're not up to lower the prices of iaps, at least they can lower the prices of in-game things. (IAP capes being 15$, I can take it, I mean, they look nice, once you look at the price, they're not that nice, y'know. But remember the cape from the valentine's event? 17$ for practically nothing. What? It's just purple, it has no special ability to justify it almost being the price of 3 season passes) Back to the male clothes, just gotta wait till days of style (and mischief, perhaps) comes around, then the argument of 'not enough male clothes' and 'things being ridiculously overpriced' will merge. I looked at a lot of the pants, and I gotta say... most of the ones that are gender neutral can easily pass for something masculine. I honestly see far less strictly feminine outfits compared to masculine ones. Like, dresses are just now becoming a more frequent thing. Before then, we were stuck wearing the default dress. Y'all have options. 😭😭
(Speaking as an afab nonbinary person) I like to come up with OCs and get cosmetics to wear to look like those characters in game. I only have 2-3 pants to share between the masc presenting OCs. (Not counting the flamboyant male OCs that I could put in more androgynous or fem outfits.) We definitely need a better balance of male vs female vs androgynous styled outfits and a good variety within each of those categories. AND MAKE THEM CHEAPER! These are digital goods! There is no cost for materials or mass producing!

Even though sky has players from different ages a lot of players in their late teens cant afford to get IAP stuff. Depending on the currency difference between countries, it's crazy to think someone could afford such expensive cosmetics, heck 20$ could litterally be my salary cause it all depends on which country you play from. And why tf do free cosmetics cost so much when the max amount of candles you earn a day is 20, it doesnt help, its way too lie and candle running has to be the only main thing in the game atp theres no way to earn hearts if you don't have around 20-30 friends and you haven't bought any of the hearts from seasonal qests and past quests.

I started playing this game a week ago. If I have to spend real money (IAPs in my country are 5 times more expensive then their price in USD) or wait for months to get a proper male outfit with candles, it's better to find another MMO to play.
Ive been playing for almost 4 years and I almost exclusively wear the Sanc masculine hairs and rhythm/samurai pants bc nothing else is super masculine AND visually appealing to me. I know theres the cargo pants but theyre just not as visually appealing as the rhythm pants and samurai pants. I feel that lately even when TGC adds masculine clothing its just really not visually appealing to how I want to dress. One of my fav pants are the kissy emote dude's pants, and even though they're unisex they have a fairly small waist and the proportions are leaning more towards the feminine side, as opposed to the very masculine-proportioned samurai pants. Not saying that people who dress feminine in sky CANT wear the samurai pants, it just my observation on the model proportions when wearing specific outfits
They don't focus on male clothes because that's not their main demographic. 70% of the players are female. They stated this in the Skyfest and they act so proud, as if they broke new grounds, that' it's some kind of accomplishment when it's to be expected...
For the summer stuff if it's expensive it's for the candle like the umbrella is kind aoay to win since you can be protect by water in the hidden flrest

I seriously really do want more male clothes. I am genuinely kind of sick at this point of wearing feminine cosmetics cause they are almost everything i have and i can barely find anything masculine. Especially that i can get before it goes away for like 2 years. I am not saying that the feminine cosmetics are bad but i just wish we would have more masculine cosmetics.
Every event and season over half of the items are IAP they made the only 2 cinnamaroll items OUT OF 4 AIP’s same with the Olympics?! The only items they don’t make IAP’s are trash or from the beginning of the game bc they know they can’t 😭😭

I feel like I do have to share my take on all of this because I don't typically share about problematic topics in the Sky community. I've played this game for somewhere around 3 years so I've seen a lot of cosmetics. I started during Season of Assembly and did lose my account and stopped playing for a bit. Looking back, I feel like there were a lot of masculine hairstyles but not as much in other categories. And pants definitely showed a lot more feminine energy. As for the other topic that was mentioned... Like I said, I've been playing for years. I didn't start buying things until after I lost my old account. I've had this new account for about 10 months now and I've probably spent several hundred dollars. This was my choice, and I'm okay with it because I love this game and I feel good when TGC does a fundraiser or donations or something positive with the money. I also hope that a good portion of the money is going to TGC employees because this game is amazing (I said hope.) I do see the prices going up, and it is frustrating considering it isn't like I'm buying a physical item and I hope whatever is causing TGC to raise their prices so much gets solved so more people can afford IAPs. But that's basically my take on things.
Honestly you know TGC is going through a bad path when they managed to fix a season candle bug in MINUTES (Because people got more season candles than they should have for a couple of hours), but the grandma event and many others like the geiser and AFK zones lasted A LONG TIME bugged. And, of course, the game with each update is even more broken. I'm all for giving the dev team time to fix stuff, but if you can repair a bug in minutes and then take away the candles people got during the bug in a couple of days, then maybe they have more than enough time and capacity to fix bugs and double check their updates (Cuz tbh, it feels like they're not even trying anymore)
I spent 44 candles on the days of summer hat, got error messege, my app crashed 😕 they still took my candles but no hat so I wait until the next week to get it so practically it was 88 candles.. still did not get my candle refund rip
I 100% agree with you, I'm not the only one because I've been talking about this with my sky family. TGC has the money to actually do something to make the game experience better, the products ect BECAUSE WHERE DOES EVERY DONATION, IAP MONEY AND ECT GOES IN? They have funds from Disney, people who donate for their projects and other games yet NOTHING. They simply want to put their money in their pockets, turn their backs and block out every need and words of the community. They just stopped caring
TGC really needs to do something with the prices its genuinely concerning you can literally get a new set of clothes with the price you pay for the cosmetics including the seasonal pass💀
The prices are just getting worse and worse as time goes on. A lot of male clothing isn't even available to get because they haven't been shown as a TS or people who didn't get the seasonal pass missed it, or you just weren't there for it, I've played Sky for almost a year, and a half and I think it's time to get more male clothing for us, or if not, more unisex clothing but on the male side, Tysm Moose for your rants man, Hope you get your orange cape and male outfits soon!
I am so glad I got the sunlight capes from last year, they were dirt cheap. I don't know if the hat has changed, but that was also very cheap too. The new prices for the capes are ridiculous. Sky is becoming more and more greedy with each event and season they do. I don't spend money on games like these so I usually just ignore going into the shop anyway, but when I accidentally clicked on the store and saw the prices for candles ($5 dollars for 100 +60 candles) my jaw dropped. Ain't no way if I ever did spend money on a game would I spend 50 smackeroonies on candles I could get in 2 weeks.
1:58 even some of those are a little feminine btw you are completely right there are very little masculine clothings and since Sky’s system is so frustrating and you have to wait for them to come back it feels like impossible to make a masculine appearance to your character
Well yeah I agree with overpriced, I mean I wanted pants from color's event, but they are to expensive for my heart and wallet... And I'm working at factory. I mean "don't buy if it's to expensive" are nit the best advice because in that case you can feel real pain if you really want something (especially if tgc made it more expensive by add season or regular candles with that item)

The umbrellas from traveling spirits are better bc they provide the exact same convenience and aren't iaps

I'm so upset about the season of duets specifically heres why, you have 4 outfits 2 male 2 female but 3/4 are locked behind a pay wall 2 of which were male options. I would've happily accepted the basic guys outfit instead of something like the shoes or even the cape because if you have a season where there are going to be both male and female clothes respectively why only offer up 1 of the the 2 genders outfits (mind you I don't mind wearing "female" clothes but still I would've loved to have the choice as to which ones I get)
The lantern, fireplace kit thing and umbrella cost 23 euro each, i did the math and if i would want everything IAP from days of sunlight it would cost me 125 euro, i don't want everything tho, right now I'm thinking about buying the cape and the bunny accessorie thing.
I am very excited for the two embers but when I saw comments like they increase the prices because of that I get really annoyed with the animation. Just like you said no one asked for an animation, people probably asked for more but IN THE GAME. I think they can even come up and say nah this is just like a side story, isn't relevant to sky lore that much. Because it probably is, generally when companies make animation of their game it's just like that. But those companies has a proper lore story for damn sake. What sky has? I am digging in the game for lore and I can barely find anything. Apart from your first playgame the lore isnt there at all. Why they didint add more lore into the game instead of making an animation and even increasing the prices because of that because they're a tiny broke company. Just improve your game if you cant compensate an animation. And yes cosmetics are overpriced. Season pass is fine even though you still have to log in every day to get what you paid and it's hard when the game is drowning in bugs and can cause you lose ultimates even though you tried to do dailies. But still season pass is fine. Events though, they came straight out of hell. With both prices and the bugs they brought like their sidekick. But let's say you don't have to get everything. You can just shut up about prices and take everything like a good girl. Okay to thay too. But what about the free items? Im looking at that 140 candles TOWEL CAPE. Like that's not enough they even made the pink one 30 hearts. Being pink turns out makes everything more expensive. They didint have to make them this expensive. I would think fifty time if i want to but some damn towels even if it was half of the price but this? I'm not giving a towel more than 100 candles. If youre gonna make something more than 100 candles at least make it worth for damn sake. Also they should first fix the bugs instead of adding fancy cosmetics. The game is in shambles.

i want to respond to you directly about something in particular, i don't disagree with you or anything but i want you to see an issue.
say sky priced items per region there would be an issue with this, and its not TGC not making cash; its the issue of cheaters. right now TH-cam is facing this issue as buying TH-cam premium subs or gifting subs in a particular region costs nothing to them (turkey in specific) and they have been scamming large TH-camrs out of thousands of dollars or pounds!
for more clarification since I'm a bad explainer, say they lowered the prices per region. there would be players that would cheat, use a VPN to spoof their location and buy everything for literal pennies in their currency. i don't like how some people cant afford things and it does make me sad, but its also a war against the people who would abuse that system if it was changed. TGC has to decide what to do and they chose the safer option of keeping everything equal so they wont go bankrupt from the people who would do bad things.
i do wish there was a way to lower prices to be manageable per region but I'm not sure if that will ever happen due to how the internet is. honestly this is why we cant have nice things!
now about the pants, yes as a female i also see there's a drout of male clothing but i think sky is trying to create more items that are unisex and _looks back to your diagram_ 14 of those clothes i see as unisex, even i now wear the one in the middle from the new season because i LOVE long clothing. i am sorry that TGC isn't fixing this issue, but i do hope this is eventually addressed. if you want leave a message in the discord where you can leave feedback to the devs! i encourage anyone who wants to get their opinion heard, to do that because TGC does read them, and takes it into consideration.

TGC have enough money to function without making everything expensive. And yes it's perfectly fine to play F2P but it's still unfair when F2P players miss out on a lot. It's hard to even make friends in sky when you are judged based on your appearance (it's unfortunate and kinda messed up).

I mean, as a company, they don't make most of their money through people that spend money on their game.
Player retention earns more money, since that's all investors care about, and they'll pay 1000's if not 10,000's more than your average player will in their entire lifecycle of the game.
So yeah, the 'expensive' IAP's are just pretty much pure greed.
Also something else crazy about the Days of Summer prices is that last year the capes were all EC. The cheapest being 10 and most expensive being 25- (or around that)

that is a strategy to make us feel unsure about future items, and urge players to get into a buying frenzy as soon as new items appear. TGC just want us to keep grinding and spending without giving us a break. Same with how many new special days have been appearing along all year, when in the past, we had a lot more time to farm and prep for future coming items. They are inserting the fear of missing out into players.
honestly in this case, i believe it is bc those would just be the prices assigned if they didn't start the event ticket system. Their way of assigning those was "if you cr for more than half the time you should be able to get all the new items," but people were understandably upset bc as the years went on, it meant 3 100 candle capes and usually like 20 hearts for a headband. So they set up the ticket system.
I think this way is honestly better for catching up bc rather than having a limited number of regular candles where you need to choose between 10 items, you only have to choose between like 7, while the other 3 you get with no effort. Making everything be only tickets puts you right back in the same dilemma of you only get so many tickets, now you have to pick and choose items.
Imma bet if you use the candle to ticket conversion from the spells (6 candles = 1 ticket), the prices would be about the same. The heart thing on the other hand, i guess if you then go 3 candles = 1 heart, but i dont like that cause everyone is struggling with hearts anyways like whyyyy
I'm female who like dressing as both 'feminine' and 'masculine' at times. I personally don't really have problems with pants, I think most of them look unisex enough. What I think sky is lacking of are good masculine hair. I'm sorry but most of them look too goofy..

Well tbh, there's like 8 outfits with skirts and 7 pants that lean more towards looking feminine, and the majority of the outfits are unisex, which are both neither loved by males nor females and are just "okay". I agree with adding more outfits that lean more on either feminine or masculine rather than unisex clothes that tgc was lazy to design for. Not only are the prices ridiculously high, but the overall quality of these past events is just "okay" or barely worth even buying.

The price varies depending on your region, So it's not really that expensive for everyone, here where I live it's MUCH more worth it than buying any IAP that cost more than two season passes.

Over the course of 20 days I got 144 season candles and got all the items for two out of the four season spirits, (and this was from casual playing vs my usual grinding, so the season pass is definitely worth it!) although I think they might mean it's too expensive for them financially, maybe? Because there have been times when I wanted to buy a season pass but I couldn't afford it 😭
Im sorry but no. Looking at all the pants on the wiki I found only 14 feminine pants. The unisex and masculine pants outweighs feminine outfits by far and we've been asking for more feminine clothes for years.

Tgc is kinda ruining my game experience currently, because I’ve been playing for about one and a half years, and I’ve kinda experienced it getting worse over time. All the good seasons were the ones I missed, and now the seasons don’t really bring good stuff anymore, and it’s extra useless to spend an unreasonable amount of money on a season pass just to get what? A blue and pink striped carpet you’re never gonna use? Or some posters, which are pretty but also pretty useless. I could also start ranting forever here, but i feel like that’s not the best idea •~•💧

For example the upcoming days of style: there’s these really sick looking pants, kinda looking like a suit with pants, really awesome BUT GUESS WHAT, IT’S SN OVERPRICED IAP i can’t deal with this anymore. And then also the server issues, all the bugs that have been there for months and never got fixed, i just don’t really see the game getting better, more like the opposite even though tgc claims they’re working on it.

im gonna be only putting my opinion on the clothing thing rather than the prices:
The outfits you showed, that YOU personally deem masculine, do not reflect the entire of the community. Like, for example the two regular spirit pants you showed; Why are they specificly "male"? The only overtly "feminine" might be the Hide'n'Seek Pioneer. But all the others are pretty unisex.
None of these clothing should even be gendered, because that doesnt matter. Yes, you can have preferences, but saying TGC is not making enough "Male" clothing is simply not true. The only reason you think this, is because you see those clothing as "Male".
The only pants i would consider as "Dresses" or "Skirts" are 10. And some might even be questionable, since you showed it in the graph of the pants you think are "Male" (ancient light outfit).
This is a pretty nuanced topic, but heres something to think about: Its just a game, like you said. It doesnt matter if there are more "Female" clothing, because thats just you think of it, which TGC probably doesnt.

This isn’t entirely related to cosmetics but mostly candle running and other things. A few years ago there were a few glitches that could be used with friends eg “bicycle” or “rocket” glitch. These were SUPER useful because they sped up candle running or doing trials by giving us shortcuts. A great example of this is any of Astria Espers CR vids. TGC removed them and ever since they did it’s just been so tedious cring now. Keep in mind these glitches weren’t entirely game breaking and were mostly safe.
Another glitch that was patched ages ago was the “Home glitch”. I fucking miss that shit it was so useful. (Basically, you press the home button but don’t confirm to leave the map, it gives immunity to krill attacks as long as you don’t press confirm or decline until after you get hit.) Every sky kid and their mum knew this glitch and now it’s gone. Barely anyone likes to cr at wastelands because of this and not everyone is willing to learn how to krill dodge if they still really want to cr there. It might sound like a huge skill issue and would be better to stay out of krill’s paths but how can you if one day one of the travel spirits is the pleaful parent?? Its pathing is mostly always going to lead you into a krill.
That’s just 2 out of many of the things that keeps me from wanting to play daily. I only play every few months and even when I do I just sulk at the new updates. ESPECIALLY THIS ONE.

Yeah, small correction: rocket still exists and if you mean the endless light glitch by "bicycle", that one is also still there. TGC actually puts them back in whenever they are accidentally patched out, same with chibi fall.

Ummm, only 21? Well then again as you said people have different prefrences but I think you just didn't count some of them because of your own prefrences. For example, some in season of 9 colored deer, season of passage, season of assembly, boogie pant, Yeti pant and almost all the Rythm pants beside one you counted are masculine.
And to be honest we haven't had many dresses.
Most of the other pants were gender neutral like season of perfornance.
However, again you could have a different style in mind for the masculine outfits that is different from these.
But, of course, I'm also aware of the fact that TGC usually ignores what the players need and just is that greedy company XD

I don’t think it’s supposed to be called “male” clothes…it’s too stereotypical, since there’s not a gender in sky actually, sky kid have no gender unless they tell you about it, so the wordings of “male” or “masculine” doesn’t really apply to the case here.
Also, please don’t ignore to the fact that not all male players in sky are always wearing “masculine” outfits just because of their gender, it’s an option for yourself to change and style the sets of clothes in your wardrobe, not just dressed according to the gender.
Also, the thing I really dislike about your video is that how you stated “gender neutral clothes all goes into a feminine direction”. Sky is a gender neutral game as it provides people with the opportunity of they can dress freely in game. But I really don’t understand what is feminine in your opinion…dresses? Long sleeves? You already stated that it’s gender neutral, then it is gender neutral. There’s nothing wrong with male wearing dresses or female wearing large cool pants and glasses.
1:59 as you’ve mentioned, “pick out what male would wear ‘realistically’” it’s a game. Sky is a game and it’s up to players decision of if they think the clothes are unisex in appearances or just “not masculine enough”.
Honestly, my overall opinion on your video is that…it’s too much of a personal problem than a company’s design problem. I don’t see how you cannot style the pants you’ve mentioned as “masculine” in the video along with dresses. There are too many points in your video that are in a subjective sense instead of objective. So at least….change your phrasing about “Sky’s male outfit problem”. It’s mostly your opinion, not a fact yet. Whether a certain type of clothes is feminine or not is not decided by society, history or culture now…it’s not a thing in the 21st century online. To have a wide variety of these cosmetics for your character? You can't deny that cosmetics play a very big factor in playing the game, thats the whole point of candle runs and daily quests! So how does it make sense that a big part of the game is slowly becoming unavailable to the majority who don't want to pay crazy prices for an item CODED into a VIDEOGAME 😭 also if everything just starts costing real money, then in game currency will just be obsolete or too hard to get enough of in time for what you want before it disappears and you have to wait years for it to return

According to the designers, the point of the game is socializing and meditation, for which the cosmetics aren't necessary.
However, by focusing so much on the cosmetics in their promotion material, they kind of lead people to think the cosmetics are important. Doesn't help that the entire progression system is based on them. And now people are bombarded with cosmetics for prices so high they encourage grinding, which is going to take up time that could have been spent on socializing and meditative stuff, and typically leads to burnout so.......

There are no "male" or "female" clothes. They are masculine and feminine or both. How you want to present yourself all depends what you pair it with... I feel like hairstyles have the biggest impact on what gender you look 🤔

@@amaimonpheles8depends on your preference but on my opinion, boogie kid is gender neutral, too puffy to be masculine though can be designed to be for females, the yeti one leans more to feminine, I've tried dressing it as a male and it looks girly 😅 The black rainbow pants is actually on the list and the frightful one looks puffy too but unlike the first one is actually so hard to style with either male or female cosmetics. Just my opinion but I half guess that's why.
@KasumiLin I don't know, the only time yetti pants seemed feminine is with the sassy drifter pose. But usually I have the whole set for yetti. The hair, the Horns, the cape, the days of love hat or the bird and it always seemed masculine.
As for rainbow cloths. It depends on the cape and hair. The pants, shoes and cape are neutral. It's the hair and ribbon accessory that makes it feminine

I'd understand IAP's being a bit expensive if they were a collaboration or a charity item as a part of the money goes towards the collaboration or charity.
But otherwise this is just a bit much.
We got mad when TGC was about to put a snowboard for days of feast as an IAP and this time they actually listenedm yeah itll cost a lot of candles but at least it's f2p accessible. Same with the floatie too.

I completely agree that this game is way too overpriced It’s so overwhelming to start as a new moth in this game. I can’t even imagine the first event that I had in this game was about five years ago and by now, if you were to buy every single item on the shop from that event, it would be like almost $250 on top of the fact that they had 2 to 3 items every single time two of them costing 15 and one of them being cheap like that is absolutely insane

Things in-game are just getting more and more expensive as time goes by, not only in IAP. Free capes from events are so goddamn high (like the 2 capes from days of rainbows, or the capes now from days of sunlight). TS are the same too (but ig that's because now the spirits have more stuff than in the earlier seasons). Combining that with the fear of probably not seeing stuff again until a year passes (2, if we take that days of music didn't happen this year), and candles being difficult to get, you just get pushed to buy stuff. I mean, if they're not up to lower the prices of iaps, at least they can lower the prices of in-game things.
(IAP capes being 15$, I can take it, I mean, they look nice, once you look at the price, they're not that nice, y'know. But remember the cape from the valentine's event? 17$ for practically nothing. What? It's just purple, it has no special ability to justify it almost being the price of 3 season passes)
Back to the male clothes, just gotta wait till days of style (and mischief, perhaps) comes around, then the argument of 'not enough male clothes' and 'things being ridiculously overpriced' will merge.

I looked at a lot of the pants, and I gotta say... most of the ones that are gender neutral can easily pass for something masculine. I honestly see far less strictly feminine outfits compared to masculine ones. Like, dresses are just now becoming a more frequent thing. Before then, we were stuck wearing the default dress. Even though sky has players from different ages a lot of players in their late teens cant afford to get IAP stuff. Depending on the currency difference between countries, it's crazy to think someone could afford such expensive cosmetics, heck 20$ could litterally be my salary cause it all depends on which country you play from. And why tf do free cosmetics cost so much when the max amount of candles you earn a day is 20, it doesnt help, its way too lie and candle running has to be the only main thing in the game atp theres no way to earn hearts if you don't have around 20-30 friends and you haven't bought any of the hearts from seasonal qests and past quests.
while i disagree abt the maculine pants (i tend to dress more masculine in game) i agree abt the pricing, im south african and the pricing is so unreasonable, i just save for the pass, since it gives more stuff anyway
I started playing this game a week ago.
If I have to spend real money (IAPs in my country are 5 times more expensive then their price in USD) or wait for months to get a proper male outfit with candles, it's better to find another MMO to play.
Ive been playing for almost 4 years and I almost exclusively wear the Sanc masculine hairs and rhythm/samurai pants bc nothing else is super masculine AND visually appealing to me.
I know theres the cargo pants but theyre just not as visually appealing as the rhythm pants and samurai pants. I feel that lately even when TGC adds masculine clothing its just really not visually appealing to how I want to dress.
One of my fav pants are the kissy emote dude's pants, and even though they're unisex they have a fairly small waist and the proportions are leaning more towards the feminine side, as opposed to the very masculine-proportioned samurai pants.
Not saying that people who dress feminine in sky CANT wear the samurai pants, it just my observation on the model proportions when wearing specific outfits

I feel like I do have to share my take on all of this because I don't typically share about problematic topics in the Sky community.
I've played this game for somewhere around 3 years so I've seen a lot of cosmetics. I started during Season of Assembly and did lose my account and stopped playing for a bit. Looking back, I feel like there were a lot of masculine hairstyles but not as much in other categories. And pants definitely showed a lot more feminine energy.
As for the other topic that was mentioned... Like I said, I've been playing for years. I didn't start buying things until after I lost my old account. I've had this new account for about 10 months now and I've probably spent several hundred dollars. This was my choice, and I'm okay with it because I love this game and I feel good when TGC does a fundraiser or donations or something positive with the money. I also hope that a good portion of the money is going to TGC employees because this game is amazing (I said hope.) I do see the prices going up, and it is frustrating considering it isn't like I'm buying a physical item and I hope whatever is causing TGC to raise their prices so much gets solved so more people can afford IAPs.
But that's basically my take on things.
Fun fact, if you wear pants without sleeves, you can see how our skykids are actually buff lol
Honestly you know TGC is going through a bad path when they managed to fix a season candle bug in MINUTES (Because people got more season candles than they should have for a couple of hours), but the grandma event and many others like the geiser and AFK zones lasted A LONG TIME bugged. And, of course, the game with each update is even more broken.
I'm all for giving the dev team time to fix stuff, but if you can repair a bug in minutes and then take away the candles people got during the bug in a couple of days, then maybe they have more than enough time and capacity to fix bugs and double check their updates (Cuz tbh, it feels like they're not even trying anymore)
I spent 44 candles on the days of summer hat, got error messege, my app crashed 😕 they still took my candles but no hat so I wait until the next week to get it so practically it was 88 candles.. still did not get my candle refund rip

I 100% agree with you, I'm not the only one because I've been talking about this with my sky family. TGC has the money to actually do something to make the game experience better, the products ect BECAUSE WHERE DOES EVERY DONATION, IAP MONEY AND ECT GOES IN? They have funds from Disney, people who donate for their projects and other games yet NOTHING.
They simply want to put their money in their pockets, turn their backs and block out every need and words of the community.

I am so glad I got the sunlight capes from last year, they were dirt cheap. I don't know if the hat has changed, but that was also very cheap too. The new prices for the capes are ridiculous. Sky is becoming more and more greedy with each event and season they do. I don't spend money on games like these so I usually just ignore going into the shop anyway, but when I accidentally clicked on the store and saw the prices for candles ($5 dollars for 100 +60 candles) my jaw dropped. Ain't no way if I ever did spend money on a game would I spend 50 smackeroonies on candles I could get in 2 weeks.

Here's my honest reaction to the iaps I have actually since I'm on the topic
- Lantern: really useless and not worth the cost. Literally just lights up surroundings. Severely disappointing purchase
- marshmallows: it's.. Okay? Far from a good price though. I use it when I wanna relax but 90% of the time I'm on sky is grinding.
- Umbrella: good item for the forest, but the price is too high. The umbrellas from traveling spirits are better bc they provide the exact same convenience and aren't iaps

I'm so upset about the season of duets specifically heres why, you have 4 outfits 2 male 2 female but 3/4 are locked behind a pay wall 2 of which were male options. I would've happily accepted the basic guys outfit instead of something like the shoes or even the cape because if you have a season where there are going to be both male and female clothes respectively why only offer up 1 of the the 2 genders outfits (mind you I don't mind wearing "female" clothes but still I would've loved to have the choice as to which ones I get)

I am very excited for the two embers but when I saw comments like they increase the prices because of that I get really annoyed with the animation. Just like you said no one asked for an animation, people probably asked for more but IN THE GAME. I think they can even come up and say nah this is just like a side story, isn't relevant to sky lore that much. Because it probably is, generally when companies make animation of their game it's just like that. But those companies has a proper lore story for damn sake. What sky has? I am digging in the game for lore and I can barely find anything. Apart from your first playgame the lore isnt there at all. Why they didint add more lore into the game instead of making an animation and even increasing the prices because of that because they're a tiny broke company. Just improve your game if you cant compensate an animation. And yes cosmetics are overpriced. Season pass is fine even though you still have to log in every day to get what you paid and it's hard when the game is drowning in bugs and can cause you lose ultimates even though you tried to do dailies. But still season pass is fine. Events though, they came straight out of hell. With both prices and the bugs they brought like their sidekick. But let's say you don't have to get everything. You can just shut up about prices and take everything like a good girl. Okay to thay too. But what about the free items? Im looking at that 140 candles TOWEL CAPE. Like that's not enough they even made the pink one 30 hearts. Being pink turns out makes everything more expensive. They didint have to make them this expensive. I would think fifty time if i want to but some damn towels even if it was half of the price but this? I'm not giving a towel more than 100 candles. If youre gonna make something more than 100 candles at least make it worth for damn sake. Also they should first fix the bugs instead of adding fancy cosmetics. The game is in shambles.
