Doctor Math

Have you ever had a doctor tell you to 'just exercise' as their prescription for your chronic health issue? Yeah, you and a million others. Doctors cite studies "proving" that "exercise is an effective treatment." But when you ask to see those studies you may find that the largest amount of improvement in symptoms may be a whopping 11%. Or that sometimes as many as 30% (or 75% in the case of lo...
Kamala Harris Vs Protesters
มุมมอง 7123 หลายเดือนก่อน
There has been some interesting conversations around the pro-Palestinian protesters at Harris’ rallies. Much of the commentary that I have seen has been critical of the protesters, rather than critical of Harris’ lack of meaningful action to both prevent more genocidal death and lack of action to stop more weapons being sent to Israel. The protests are necessary. We NEED to pressure Harris to t...

Why you might be more disabled one day than the next...
มุมมอง 4.3K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
What are dynamic disabilities? In some ways all disabilities are dynamic. I mean, humans experience different abilities on different days every day. We aren't machines. But watch the video and tell me what you think... VD: character 1 - Mom, curly haired woman in a flower dress dusts a bookshelf. Character 2 - adult, male-presenting lays on a bed in his tshirt and jeans petting two cats and rub...

Is there anyone who could explain me who's been the first person saying each one of these revolutionized words? I don't even know if the term I'm using is correct
BIG Freaking Thank You!!

Neurotypicals = Judgement.
I’ve received hate because I don’t see the point in celebrating remembrance day. I see it as a useless cycle of acting things out and watching people have the usual pointless repeated conversations about the good old days. Meanwhile, most of our survived veterans live in poverty and if the dead awakened one year on that day, they look around and roll back over in their graves. I suspect they’d be wondering what they fought for. I also see we haven’t learned much as we still have the same $hit, it just gets handled differently, so let’s just let that die out like it should.
I’m diagnosed Autistic but I don’t think I’ve got ADHD. I have the odd experience when I’m very stressed etc but generally I get by ok. If I have ADHD it’s likely more inattentive. I’m thinking to get assessed for it next year.
😂
Sounds like Autistic Me. 🤦🏻♀️ I’m happy I found your channel. 😊
This is so old school and I’m happy to see videos like this finally holding up a mirror to the lunacy!
My favorite part as a physician who had a late ADHD diagnosis is catching it in others, especially in older women. You give them the ASRS and they start crying or laughing within 30s-2m. It changes their whole lives, I love it so much. It's the main reason I'm incredibly open about my diagnosis - destigmatize!
Que error al vestirse de mujer habriendo puertas a demonios anyle este video y reprenda .
I enjoyed it
The report you provided was a study on the validity of already existing ASD tests, not a study on the validity of self diagnosis The first paper you brought up 1:09 So your stance on self diagnosis is still wrong 2:22 The study you referred to here is 15 years old at this point meaning it isn’t very variable as a creditable research paper, as most of the data is outdated 2:39 Paper is referring to as a whole who have autism in those areas, the undiagnosed part may be because of parents not wanting or not seeing the signs of autism 4:04 The ADA prevents places of employment to reject you due to something like autism You don’t legally have to tell them about your autism unless you want to for accommodations like Working at home Schedule changes Less work 6:28 Histrionic personality disorder Narcissistic personality disorder You know what looking for excessive attention isn’t a symptom of according to the 2023 revision of the DSM-5 is ASD You even mention how ASD can have overlapping symptoms with other conditions at 6:39 8:33 Not the definition of ableism Autistic people not wanting people who self diagnose because of the high probability it’s wrong isn’t gatekeeping 9:07 Making medical professionals look stupid and arrogant to push a message that 8 years of med school to become a neurologist makes them less qualified than you reading 3 papers in 20 minutes
sounds like some chiropractic horse shit
I'm dyslexic at least you don't misread road signs and can spell your middle name
Thanks for this.
Come on, these sentences are anything against you. Sometimes I also describe people or ask them questions about what I'm interested about. You can't know for sure if they're annoyed, and if they are, it doesn't matter. Annoyed people deserve respect, they have different sensitivities and dificulties to say it in a direct way.
I agree with you, I don’t believe prices increase because salaries increase specially in liberal economies. BTW is not about supporting a life style is to support life, people should earn enough money to eat every day, pay rent, etc all the needs that are human rights.
these are just magnetix
Mental disorder, not autistic.
Creepy vibes.
So glad she lost, she was terrible.
Near-zero contact started when nobody was supportive of ANY minimum COVID precautions for Christmas. The year prior, we all agreed to test before coming, & at the time masks were still socially expected in public places. I felt sick & tested positive 12/26, told everybody, we all isolated, & a few days later my sister-in-law got it. A month later, & ever since, Long COVID wrecked my employability & ability to do many things that once brought me joy, it's been over 2.5 years. So they've witnessed asymptomatic transmission, & a single "mild" infection being debilitating, yet they won't make any events accessible for me to join - I still get invited to inaccessible holidays! They all but ignored my 40th birthday, a few cards but no effort to make an accessible party. In June, where all outdoors would have been quite practical!
It turns out, she was not likely to win in a landslide after all.
Wait wait wait, I thought that the misconception that Rain man is portraying an autistic person has been debunked...
I could't even watch the trailer without it being obvious to me that this represents how neurotypical people perceive autism rather than an authentic autistic experience.
Can’t wait to forget my husband exists when I am an adult 🔥
I hate when somone has adhd, they are normal. But when someone has autism they are mentally ill and disabled.
I would rather say that we’re heel walkers, to keep our balance.
If you call someone with a different point of view "yelling at you" then you're not autistic you're infantile.
I'm female and don't toe walk, but have a periodically close make associate who does, and he is a Mensa-approved undiagnosed sperg. I've never seen a female toe walker, though.
It me!
The masking assistance based quiz group on that site helped me confirm something I was already suspicious of. Thank you for helping spread the word - we aren't magically NOT autistic just because we can't get a formal diagnosis
I agree that more autistic actors should play autistic roles, however, this feels less like a statement in favor of autistic actors and more like whining about an actress who genuinely did a good job. Coming from someone with ASD, I never felt more seen than I had through Woo Young-Woo in a TV show. If she's doing a good job, and they wouldn't have hired an autistic actor anyway, there's no harm, given she hadn't taken the job from someone else.
Also, you don't need to voice your opinion in the form of a sketch. Sometimes it's okay to just voice your opinion.
Awwwhh 💙💙💙 Howl! (^_^) Awesome

Omg this is actually a thing??, i thought i was becoming dumber 😭😭. When i was in my earlier years, people knew i was a great public speaker/explaner, generally i was very good in speaking. And when i turned 15 everything just change. I assumed it was from doing so much research / reading and critically thinking often which i think was the reason i was burnt out. Everyone, even my classmates noticed this regression and even i. However i also noticed i had become of a deeper thinker(?), more so i often think of negative things. I didnt know it was an actual neurological problem😭😭😭. Thank you💝
Frrrr
Forgiving is a thing, forgetting another one. Yes, I can forgive you for what you did, not seek revenge, and stuff. BUT, if you hurt me once, if you betrayed me once, if you broke my trust once, you might do that again. I'll forgive you for the past, but I will stay away from you for the future.
Nope Minimum wage is not a wage to support a "life style" on It's just a stepping stone to your next job opportunities while the younger generation fills your gap in that 💩 job. Regardless if you like it or not, it's time to move on to your next opportunities in life..... Nothing more, nothing less. I don't know why you don't get this fact. Would be better if the prices dropped. That would help !!!
you should be able to live off of a minimum wage prices going down would mean deflation, it would kill the economy in a market system, maybe if you restricted it to just necessities but the easier way is to just to increase wages without the risk some ppl don't get those opportunities, especially in the US; and if the company can pay you minimum wage, it will, so increasing said minimum would force them to pay accordingly for many ppl. Also minimum wage stagnated, which, considering inflation, means it decreased. why can't the standard at least be upheld, and, if possible, increased?
@@VulpineCortex 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡 Let me repeat myself for the children in the back of the classroom "Minimum Wage is NOT a life style wage. It is not a child support wage. It's a stepping stone to your next life steps." If you believe Minimum should support a 30yr old adult. Rent, car loan, fuel, groceries, medical, dental, sports, habits, relationships (etc,) Your a clown it's called MINIMUM. Your the bottom of the ladder. The welcome to the real world door matt, now start your climb up the financial ladder. If you're an adult, (not youth or elderly) and making minimum wage. Ballpark 30yr old and making minimum wage. You are a failure as an individual, a failure as an adult and probably failing at life in general. And now are just projecting your failures onto society to compensate for your lack of financial stability. Probably vote liberal and are a vegan as well....
Minimum wage was meant to be enough to cover a family of 4 by 1 person. That was the intent of it. The ISSUE is that we need to LEASH the top of the chain to the bottom of the chain. For example, if you wanna make $250 an hour at your job the lowest paid person should be $25 an hour. You wanna make more? Gotta raise from the bottom if you want the top to go up. That is the issue we are dealing with. Guys making 5k an hour while the rest of us peons get peanuts. I want people to make money. But we also need to be reasonable with our demands. People shouldn't be making so much money that they can purchase a social network company and shrug off the losses like they are water off a duck's back.
Keep raising minimum wage and that'll just keep raising the price of the peanuts.
I hate getting this kind of statement when the person hasn’t even said they won’t do it again, and are digging their heels in they can and should do the thing, let alone an apology or saying they won’t do it again x
I wish more people understood this!
Exactly! If they come with the bible: it has very detailed rules how it works! Yes, You shall forgive. But AFTER the person who did You a harm asked for forgiveness AND did everything possible for them to equal the harm they caused!!! That's the part they like to forget... I read a book from a german christian psychiatrist about and he suggested to hand cases over to god if the person will not do or it is so big You feel You just can't forgive now (after se*ual abuse for example or other crime). Only to get it off Your own shoulder of cause, not for them or make it a "christian duty". I tried.
@@katzenbekloppt_mf I'd love links/anything you can remember about that book/part of the bible so I can Google it, only if you have time though. I have religeous OCD and that's a bit I get stuck on, even though I don't think people have to forgive when I'm doing well, tbh just this comment has helped, so thankyou. 💜
@@frocktopus9429 it's a german book, so I don't know if it will help You. But I will give You the author and title. I read it years ago (10+). (Dr.med.) Martin Grabe/Lebenskunst Vergebung - Befreiender Umgang mit Verletzungen Publisher is Francke. The author is chiefdoctor at a psychotherapist clinic and leads an acadamy for psychotherapy and "Seelsorge" which means soul-care, it's used for what priests do instead of psychotherapy. I am pretty sure that in general he would be too conservative for me (I am a lefty queer very liberal christian, join the feminist pro-choice demonstrations when the fundamentalists do their yearly "march for life"-thing), but I had the impression he is a good and professionel psychotherapist and wrote this book for all victims with a lot of empathy, it helped me a lot. And yes, mostly that chapter with some marks and post-its. I didn't find one specific bible part with a quick view and don't want to re-read the complete book now to find it, sorry, but he mentioned several. Hope You can find and translate it, good luck😊
@@katzenbekloppt_mf you are a star, that's so helpful, thankyou! I'm sure I can at least find people taking about him or use some Google translate. (I'm a lefty queer as well, so will take what I find about the author with a pinch of salt, Ty for the warning as well ✊💜
@@frocktopus9429 You're welcome😉
I mostly agree with you, except for the "if they ask for forgiveness" part. Someone who has wronged you, even if they've apologized (almost ESPECIALLY if they're in the process of apologizing) don't deserve to ask you for ANYTHING. By ASKING for forgiveness, they're making it about them: "what can YOU do for ME to alleviate my guilt" instead of "what can *I* do for YOU to make right what I did to you". I suffered a lot of internalized transphobia before accepting myself and coming out, and I made an effort to apologize to as many people as I could find to whom I had said terrible things prior, but I didn't ask any of them for forgiveness because that wasn't my place to ask of them. If they want to OFFER forgiveness (which most of them did), then that should be THEIR prerogative. But I don't deserve to REQUEST it, and, if I try to lead them to it, then I'm only wronging them AGAIN. At least that's the way I see it, anyway.
Amen, brother!
Wow thank you I needed to hear this. I had to cut my sister out because she got upset with me when I wouldn’t go visit our dad who abused me heavily as a child but not her. It destroyed me to hear her tell me to be the bigger person. How can I be the bigger person when I was literally his child?
i'm so sorry for what you experienced 💚 thank you for sharing as i needed to read what you wrote because i've been struggling since my covert/vulnerable narcissistic sibling who has mistreated me our whole lives (ironically despite them playing the good little christian martyr) tried to play games with me about one of our parents potentially being near the end (who they even recently acknowledged had always been horrible to me & apologized for abandoning me with them when i was a teen) then started triangulating one of our only relatives i have any relationship with trying to smear me i hope you now have the understanding support system you always deserved 🌈
@@eco_aquamarine3455 I am sorry You had not just go through that as a child but later got no solidarity from Your sister. That must feel awful. I am really sorry!
There's both a personal and logical limit to how far forgiveness can go. Some acts are just unforgivable, and anyone who tells a victim of said acts that they shouldn't judge and forgive the perpetrator is a monster most foul themselves
