i've tried pvp for the roulette, between the constant lag( ennemies aren't where they appear and you die even before you realised it) or the very charming people when you ask them what to do, what's the mechanics etc . .and being receiving with very charming answers ( hoo Irony) it's literraly walk and die in loop .. . very interesting gameplay.

Been playing ff14 for a month now. I can describe it in one word. Joke. Everyone has cc/self-heal/Def on the top of guard 😂 If u have 1 eye one hand with 3 fingers u can survive let alone if the tank/healer supporting you. Also the 1 sec delay between hitting the button and it's actual effect is something weird never had it in PvP game before. Also why limit breaks are so powerful?like I said PvP in ff is a joke and I mean in all its modes.

I tried pvp and get annihilated every time in less than 2 seconds. Yet I can't get any damage out. Also targeting on controller for pvp is horrific

The pvps dog shit cause 90% of the time you die in .1 mil secconds but your sat there banging your head on someones first 5% hp for 30 mintues.

The only reason... the absolute only reason I suffer through ffxiv pvp is the rewards. There is 0 fun to be had

I prefer old pvp; It was fun. This version is just not fun at all and a complete clusterfuck. I wanted the dragon in the previous malmstone series and out of all those CC matches, I won 24. 24 matches out of hundreds. EDIT: Oh and the dragon wasn't worth it. It was an asset lift off the mob, now extras or mount emotes to make it different. The Tribe mounts have more thought put into them.

The MCH struggle is real when you like guns that actually look like guns.

Being a PLD or WAR feels nice when the party wipes and you get to say "Shall i finish this off or wipe?"

I actually started FF14 as a Gladiator and eventually Paladin, yet I've almost never come across people who were toxic about the blue role not adhering to their whims (most crap I've gotten was the occasional burger king mentor pulling adds ahead of me... and I wasn't even single pulling mobs so it wasn't like I was going at a prehistoric pace. I've grown comfortable with doing all large pulls apart from low level dungeons where the healer literally doesn't have toolkit to support that, so it's exceedingly rare). But then again, I've never done anything beyond extreme level content - I think most people realize your going to likely never meet again after a dungeon or raid clear in lower level stuff so hardly anyone takes it too seriously as long as your doing the bare minimum of what's respectable (proper mitigation cycling, don't cleave the party, pull what needs to be pulled, do the mechanics, have a somewhat consistent dmg rotation etc.). I'm actually very glad I did start as a typically non-mt tank because it's probably the least difficult while still teaching a player all the core essential things about how an MMO works - aggro, positioning, teamwork, how to keep other roles alive and happy. This was also my first MMO, so despite having some experience in every role now Paladin will have a special place in my heart.

I only play casual CC for the rewards. I don't like the time to kill or all the undodgeable stunlocks and I find the battles incredibly hard to read. It doesn't feel like there is a lot of individual player expression or methods to outplay others.

Then only thing I want for pvp, is to lower RDM's melee combo recharge from 20 seconds to 15. It's the primary source of damage for RDM, yet other classes can use theirs more often.

I find dumb when trying to get a rank in pvp being ranklwss all you see is being partied with bronze silver and gold in one match. Majority of the time, the sides are not balanced. Oh 3 bronze and a unranked vs 3 golds and 1 silver, and we get steamrolled. What a dumb surprise....makes rank feel pointless.

Ninjas in PVP since Endwalker's release has been a plague. In the hands of the most tactical, patient and opportunistic individual, it can create a situation where the momentum swings to your favor (if you are losing) or just pile on issues in order for the enemy team not to mount a comeback.

One thing i hate is how the enemy is so godammn tanky and my teammate is squishy as fuck Where's the logic

Due to how probability works, MCH doesn't actually have a 27% chance to have killed somebody with chainsaw after 9 uses. If we take the chance that chainsaw fails (.97) and raise it to the 9th power because we get 9 uses, we get .97^9 = ~.760, or a roughly 76% chance that the chainsaw did NOT kill anybody at all, leaving us with a 24% chance that it did kill at least one person, but possibly could have killed more. Since each try is mutually exclusive and the chance doesn't increase or decrease per attempt, we can't simply multiply our 3% chance to hit by 9 tries. Either way, it's a fucking stupid ability. One shots in a "competitive" game are brain damage.

i kinda like pvp but dancer, my class feels like a joke, my dps is almost nothing, alot of classes can just kill me and u cant even stop this ping thing once u started, the "doge/movement" alot of the time does nothing because of the delay so u dash away and u still get hit and die. also why does dancer have less range than other caster/range ? i feel like i picked the worst class for pvp
