I finally came to the realization that from Rv safety security, stress in towing, high price of camping and gas and full campgrounds. And the last camping trip another RV person backed their rv into my travel trailer crushing the ladder. It took two months to get The part and get it installed. THEN THE BIG LIGHT BULB went off…the price of a hotel room was looking very attractive. Camping is also a lot of work… after camping for 30 years.. I sold my 2021 Winnebago micro mini TT. Times have changed…way too many drifters wandering around and the ROI no longer makes sense.

We ordered ours through our RV dealer in Palm Desert, CA for $300 (including shipping &tax). Because the the newer model of our camper has this same material, we were able to get ours cut to the exact size & have the edge bound at the factory. You can however get this same material from Trekwood RV Parts & Supply online. When you order from Trekwood, you would order the size you need and then you would need to take it to an upholstery shop to bind the edge unless you know how to do that. I know Hobby Lobby sells binding material and other people have used industrial hot glue to adhere it to the edge, however, I've never tried that and I think I would prefer to have it sewn on. Here'a a link to the same material that we installed that's on Trekwood's website. www.trekwood.com/products/1472514/S-O-Carpet-48-x-186-JubilationSoulfulGrey-Yukon They do have other size (and maybe other color) options available. You may want to call them as their website isn't very easy to search and navigate. I used the keyword "jubilation" to search their site as that is the color that we have. Type that keyword in and click through the pages to find other size options. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

I have also found the Wyze cameras are great. Even if you don't have wifi, they have a SD card and will continually record. Jut pop the card and see the videos with any MP4 player. I have also tested the Wyze 2 & 3 with your "run of the mill" phone battery pack and get 24+ hours of power on a small one. The fact that they are USB power also makes them great for RV's - if you have a shore power failure, they will still run on the house batteries.

I’ve had a similar 40 gallon tank in the back of my truck for 4 years now. I have a 3 foot long 3/8 clear hose on top for constant ventilation. I also have a large fill opening that allows me to put the hose all the way in to tank. The biggest difference is I don’t use a pump. The tank gravity feeds into my fresh water fill inlet on my trailer. Used this several dozen times last year.

It’s better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it. I have a concealed firearms permit as well but you definitely need to check state laws. The Utah permit has a lot of reciprocity except for Oregon which I had to get separate since it’s the state I live in. I make sure to stop and lock my gun in a safe before driving into CA though. That would not be fun. Too many creeps out there, especially when you are a woman traveling to the middle of nowhere. We changed out all the cargo locks and have a residential deadbolt on the door. Keep trail cams around the RV and motion sensor lights as well. We also installed an alarm and arm it before going to bed for the night.

    • @EddieAtLarge

The area under the booth seating is held down by the furniture that is screwed into the floor. We only put one screw (with a washer) in the back left corner behind the seats just to hold that in place until the recliners were reinstalled. The recliners are then secured to the slide floor with screws from underneath and that holds the flooring in place for that section. If your setup is different, I would recommend using small staples along the side and rear perimeter or you may want to glue it down along the edges and leave the remaining “floating”. We ordered ours through our RV dealer in Palm Desert, CA for $300 (including shipping &tax). Because the the newer model of our camper has this same material, we were able to get ours cut to the exact size & have the edge bound at the factory. There’s a saying we use in the RV world. “If you aren’t able to make repairs on your RV, you better have a thick wallet”. I’ve made tons of repairs on our rig over the years, a lot I haven’t shown on TH-cam. Not only is it extremely expensive to take back to the dealer, it’s also very inconvenient. Sometimes they’ll want to keep your RV in the shop for weeks or even months. Our friends have a Grand Design Momentum that has had all kinds of problems. Last one was a frame issue where they had to completely dismantle it to make the repair. So, it really doesn’t matter how much money you spend (theirs was over $100k), all RVs will end up needing repairs. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been able to make all the repairs and do all the maintenance on my own.

Not this one. It’s a Viro Panzer 7 pin lock made in Italy. Here’s a video of a Professional lock picker that had a hard time with it. th-cam.com/video/SmzvGNwjaWg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uLSFW0VRHT5cWUy3 Can’t imagine the average bike thief would have these skills and patience. They would also have to try to pick it in an awkward position as I have the chain looped around my RV frame so they would be wedged between the bike and the RV or have to lay down on the ground.

Thank you Tim! We actually did an updated video just recently show how we switched out the regular string to a clear high strength fishing leader as the regular lift cord keeps breaking. Here’s the link if you want to check it out. RV BLIND (Day/Night Shade) PERMANENT REPAIR - No More ReStringing!! th-cam.com/video/JtuiHNOF0cE/w-d-xo.html

Great video, we're Canadian and travel with (2) GSDs. Sadly we're not allowed to CC, but bear spray and a 12G help. Always be aware of your surroundings, and like you said make them work for it, if there's an easier target most times it will be hit first. Will be ordering one of these beefy chains! Safe travels

Re: the horses, the only reason they pen them up is because people are allowed to raise cattle on public lands. The horses interfere with the capitalist cattle ranchers. The horses lead awful shitty lives penned up in there and it’s all because of peoples addictions to hamburgers. There are so many reasons to go plant-based vegan and this is a really big one. Cattle are the reason they rein in and kill wild horses as well as wolves and anything else that could interfere with cattle ranching. I’m sorry but public lands should not be used for commercial cattle ranching. I’d rather see wild horses. Makes me sad.
