มุมมอง 6Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Pulled the tired 5.3 out of my 2012 Silverado and replaced it with a fresh cammed 6.0 LS. Also added a circle D converter and upgraded cooling for the 6L80e transmission. The thing is a ripper now!

Rear main seal went bad on the LS
มุมมอง 8513 หลายเดือนก่อน
The 1950 deluxe decided that the rear main seal had to go so it’s time to replace it. Build a custom transmission jack for the 4l80e and delete my exhaust scavenging system because I’m pretty sure that was the culprit. Let’s go!

What PCM are you running?
I would've just went with dual fully adjustable coil overs for the rear.
Fantastic work and great videos. Currently sourcing stuff for my 51 Pontiac and still on the fence for the automatic or manual transmission. Earlier in the video you mentioned about taking measurements to make sure the trans tunnel area was big enough to fit the transmission (assume 4L80). Was this the case or did you need to make additional modifications to the sheet metal in this area? Thx
A question the struts come with the spacers? Or you buy separately?
Nice ride! Is it sitting on the original frame? If not what frame is it sitting on?
Should have at least 5 to 10 degrees poss caster!!!
I think my 54 truck mounts are different. Do you know if anyone has tried this?
I am looking at that same set up for my 70 c20. any chance you got those part numbers to piece this together for cheaper? Thanks
Yep definitely nice finishing touch 👍
Can i order one? How much?
I'm evidently not good at searching for this on eBay. I do not see anything similar to yours or that I feel might work. Do you have a link to what you used that you could share?
get the bluecat transmission software if you cant find it reply with your email and Ill send it.
That is what I used. Thank you
@@snedenwerks awesome love your videos came across your content this morning.
ok when can I drop my car off?
I'm definitely not opposed to rustoleum as a basecoat but that clear is not gonna last. Next time i would suggest scuffing with a grey scotchbrite or 800 grit wetsand. Then apply a adhesion promotor since its a raw plastic. Try a flat or satin rustoleum black then use a 2k clear from a can or a paint gun. That shit will last for years.
When did male supermodels start painting car parts in their driveway with $3 paint cans? Problem with (most) aerosols, they basically fall off if a can of brake clean is within a city block. If you want real paint in a can, try some SprayMax 2K stuff. Just wear a respirator, this shyte will turn the frogs gay.
look good
Don’t stop.. these posts are getting me horny
Deutsch connector is too small... Rated for 15 amps odd problem though
Drag truck would be cool. Just put a 80mm turbo on it!
Lesbian Subaru!! HAAhahahahaha
Nice work man... 4 day swap by yourself rates.... Truck looks mint too... sounds good and looks like its got some go...sorry to hear about the rear main...its an LS thing and we ALL understand
All that nonsense for that? You would have been better off throwing a carbureted Big block in the thing 🤷
Shoulda went with the 5.0 Coyote!!🤷
Ew
How are you handsome built and have a scsb my wife sees you and I’m gonna be upset 😮💨😂
Hahaha 😂
The turning of the strut 180 degrees has got me a bit confused. Why can’t we just turn the top hat 180 degrees? Isn’t it the same, but easier?
So I’ve got an ly6 bored to 6.2 forged pistons and rods, 229/244 stage 3 ls3 cam and I just installed a torqstorm. These trucks are great but you did the better trans choice lol. I’m running a built 65e
Damn at least you have flat concrete. Hell yeah buddy
Great job, your video will help me fix my fox body Mustang, thank you
great video thanks
Nice work on the engine swap!! Waiting for HRPT video. I thought I spotted your ride in a few videos!!
Didn’t make a video for HRPT, sorry. Way too much going on to remember to record
I just did a dod delete on a 6.2 going in my jeep. I did not know about the plug. so thanks for the info.
In the dictionary next to the word frustration, there your face pulling this engine!😂
Accurate 🤦🏻♂️🤣
@@snedenwerks i can feel the engine rumbling through my desk/speakers lol.
The control arm shafts go to the rear of the bracket as in a Chevelle front suspension would've been a lot easier
If im running a little taller injectors.. maybe (7mm from stock or what they say on the website 33 mm) mine are 40mm tall would I be fine ?
I believe LSA have to be the pico shorty style only bc of limited space
Ok thanks they are a pico style … thanks
Did you use the stock height spindles, or the drop spindles?
I’m using 2” drop spindles
Gm gaskets are the go to fit firm in the valve cover
Gotta agree with Bowtieguy, adding to the bottom of grill as well
Either you are full of shit or heidts is selling an inferior product. Interesting!!!.
Always a good feeling when the old girl makes it home after a road trip......
How long did the job take?
I see you chose the “Go Green” gas pump. Sparty on !
Haha Trust me it’s not on purpose. I could care less about sports balls
@@snedenwerks lol. Sports have changed so much over the last few years. All about the Banjamins nowadays. I’m heading out Saturday morning for Power tour from Lansing area. Looking for a few to travel with.
Cool project. Sucks the algorithm doesn’t promote small creators.
Thank you!
great video
Nice work, as always. Good thing the old intake pipe worked out so easily. Definitely saved some time. P.S.: I know you love that Malibu, but that 50 is so much more interesting to me. Simply badass.
The Evolution chop saw is a beast. I've owned mine for almost 3 years. Have put 2 blades on it. I literally have hundreds if not thousands of cuts on the 2 blades. Chrome moly, dom, structural, has never let me down. Great Content!
Beautiful ride, man! You mentioned the brightness of those lights on the dash. The first thing I thought of was nail polish. A tinted Matt or something. Go into some of those nail salons where they do manicure and pedicures. There are thousands of tints to choose from. If it doesn't work, then you already know how to remove it! Happy pro touring my brother!
It gets better with every video. My Dad was a welder, he hated aluminum!
What’s your wheel and tire combo size? Looks awesome
I grind my welds to hide the evidence. The tank looks great!
Haha thanks man
About to do the same thing to my LT swapped 64 Cadillac. Do you mind giving up those part numbers? It would be much appreciated. Your content is great! You should have a million subs......
I don’t know the exact part number but I used whatever one they offer for the 1969 Camaro. I think they might have a universal setup as well.
@@snedenwerks Sorry,I must have misunderstood what you said in the video. I thought I herd you say they were off the shelf GM parts with a part number and you could have sourced them yourself and saved some dough. No worries..... Thanks for the response, now get back to work!
