this is the stereo set up i bought for my daughter, it has been a fine surprise how it is good for the price. the combo between wiim amp (dac, streamer and amplifier) with the indiana line nota 250x loudspeakers works really good together.

it's a ortofon cadenza black linked to a step up transformer and then to the goldnote ph1000 lite phono preamp... i can easily ear that the DGG TELDEC curve it's the right one with this 1976 deutsche grammophon vinyl. so i agree with those who say that other de enphasis curves.. than the standard RIAA have been used after the '50

0 - 1 min .. is the pass xp15 1-2 min is the goldnote ph1000 lite with riia curve 2-3 min is the goldnote ph1000 lite with dgg teldec curve all cables are the same.. ortofon cadenza black with 2 step up mono

a short comparison between the tube phono preamp manley chinook (0-1min) vs the lehmann black cube (1 -2 min). rega rp10 goldring 1042 vitus ri-101 marten oscar duo. The Lehmann Bk it is really wonderful for the price but i feel the more expensive manley chinook has a better timbre accuracy and instruments separation.. however the different it's more little in performance than in price.

in the part 1 one i play a decca mono lp (stanley black - gershwin goes latin) with my stereo set up. in the second video (pt2) i use my mono set up with an audio technica at33 mono and there is less noise and a wonderul listening experience.. so i can say that is true that mono lp sounds better with mono cartdriges with mono cart i can play older records that were noisy with all my stereo carts

Cardas wins as most modern hifi plays the upper mids too high and Cardas usually calms this down. Then Van den Hul, then Nordost (very bright).
Thanks for that. Very similar, maybe AR wider soundstage? Slightly more resolving? Or maybe it's in my head. Both exhibit class A sound: warm and non-fatiguing.

purtroppo non ho il ph10 e non l'ho mai ascoltato, ho il ph1000lite che ovviamente è molto molto meglio del BK su tutti i parametri ma costa 10 volte tanto e ci mancherebbe.. quello che posso dirti avendo avuto negli anni sia il BK che il BKSEII che il lehmann secondo me è eccellente con le testine MM sia in generale che nei parametri da te indicati mentre con le MC è buono ma non eccezionale.

Ho anch’io pre e finale pass 22 (prima avevo il 20) e 250.8 vorrei sapere che cavi alimentazione segnale potenza utilizza.
adesso ho xp22/x350.8 (il 12 l'ho dato in permuta per il 22).. come cavi di segnale uso i furutech FA-αS22 in rame OCC terminati furutech xlr, come cavi di alimentazione per il pre xp22 uso il furutech FP-3TS20 (connettori furutech E28/38) mentre per il finale sto utilizzando un cavo da me realizzato con cavo solid core occ neotech soct12 terminato furutech fi-e11 (in precedenza usavo furutech FP-TCS31). come cavi di potenza uso transparent cable (abbinamento perfetto per le wilson audio)

xp12 it's a wonderful preamp, it pairs wonderfully with .8 amplifiers and it's far better than the previous xp10... the xp22 it's more transparent with better noise floor.. however i think the xp12 is really really good

it depends on the specific set up... i own (and like) cardas golden reference, kimber 8tc, kimber 4vs, nordost, transparent musicwave super,.. but with wilson audio speakers the best match is transparent cable
Hard to go wrong with any of those. I also wouldn't rule out Mogami, great contender for the price from my testings.

I like the sound of the MSB more, but I am biased because I own a Rockna, the sounds take way longer to dye out than with the first part which shows way more ambient, both are top notch but the MSB makes my 🔔 ring
