Hello, I'm thinking about selling my Mcintosh MC462 and replace it with the Pass Labs X350.8. Is the X350.8 better than the MC462? I watched your videos and saw that you have the Mcintosh MC452/462 and X350.8?
i had c2300 but not the mc452/462... however i have listened many times to mc452 that 2 friends owns paired with c2300 and c2600... the mc452/462 its a wonderful amp.. i think the x350.8 is a step forward.. because 462 should be compared to x250.8... in every case i think that your decision depends on the set up... pass amp pairs better with pass preamp.. and mc462 pairs well with mcintosh pre (c2700 or c1100)... and also it depends about what loudspeakers you have got...

no, it's the gold pin version.. the stock tubes are Eh (not gold)
Sonically however no difference between eh standard and eh gold.
