Hard agree, I cannot stand the aesthetics of RB2. RB1 does have a deep learning curve, it’s just not as apparent as 2 since fewer people upload(ed) for it high level wise. A lot of its community left in like 2014-2015, whereas RB2 always had a community even still to this day similarly to BT3.

Well, based on the number of characters in the game, maybe. but, in terms of depth and completeness of the combat system, FighterZ and RB2 are much better than SparkingZero.

L opinion and take considering SZ is bugged to hell combo drops, map bugs, camera bugs, infinites, etc. SZ coppers love to try and judge games made with 1/3 of the development time, and a decade older but there is no getting around the facts that BT3, and RB2 will always be leagues above what SZ is. Sparking Zero is your generations Budokai Tenkaichi 1. A terrible attempt, but can be built off for future games, like a sequel to SZ, so if history repeats we can hope the next sparking game will be much better, the same way BT2 was a massive upgrade to BT1, and RB2 being an upgrade to RB1. 😇🚶‍♀️

@@po72644 yeah RB2 was super punishing if you have bad defense. I just wish super countering in SZ was 1 frame so it felt like an achievement being consistent in it.

@ the fact literally a five year old could just sit there and mash super counter and it will eventually work just shows how that that mechanic needs an entirely different approach

that...doesnt make a game better, but each to their own. I can agree SZ has some faster parts, but overall RB, and BT are better in terms of combo mechanics. BT3 especially in movement, no DB game has seemed to come close to the depth that games movement system has.

@ movement is smoother and better with more variety in SZ, and it kinda does make it better when your taking about super sonic warriors. To each their own but I think accuracy makes it better👍

Can someone explain to me how s0 is faster paced? You MUST be on edge in high level to play the older games like this one, both offensively and defensively.. in s0 not only is everything EASIER in terms of defensive mechanics but offense isnt all that demanding... for instance there was a moment in this vid where his ss2 teen gohan was comboing Vegito, and when he FINALLY managed to vanish an attack, the gohan was still able to catch him IMMEDIATELY... thats not happening in s0 that often and again it has A MUCH MORE forgiving defensive system with super counter and perception... the fact that one can vanish rush attacks makes it much faster paced when thats like the MAIN form of combat and combo extending... like maybe we talkin animation speed? Which for the most part isn't really all that either considering the ridiculous cancels in this game..

You HAVE to rely on quick dash at mid range for movement and even that isnt all that crazy fast... everything else is either too slo or extremely less optimal because of how much ki it takes or how predictable, reactable and avoidable it is.. and even quick dash takes a sizable amount of ki.. like seriously i want to hear an explanation on that fr becuase i must be missing something... like even in neutral in closer range the game is slower paced because there is so much YOU CANT do without big risk and heavy resource loss... if you retain your opinion thats whatever i just want to understand where its coming from

There are no infinite combo's in these fights, it's the same as sparking zero, plenty of chances to vanish, and escape, this game just has a lot more variety options because of its cancel system. You need to understand a game before making such a stupid comment like that, you get your ass kicked, and because you can't learn you say it's got infinites which is just being ignorant, SZ babies the player with it having 4 frames for most of its defensive mechanics, if SZ didn't baby its players like you, you'd complain about the same thing you're complaining about now in RB2: "InFinItes".

being able to perception charge, & smash attacks was easily one of the worst choices they have ever made for sure. Revenge counter was such an unnecessary mechanic as well.

It's not a hard thing to make a passionate project that's also functional and balanced, but SZ didn't want to be either and it shows.

No not really, even in BT3 videl movement wise is really fast, she just consumes 80% more ki while dashing than everyone else.
